PKI Jizzman
Biggest Disappointment? Probably the Timberliners not getting on this year, I was really looking forward to that. -Diamondback's odd B&M hyper rattle.
Lamoure
Post 100 Oh, i'm so happy now !! Geforce- intamin cable, then a accident.. this is not a disappointment, this is just misfortune Ringracer°- not opening in time, blowed up, was out-dated by Formularossa.. Ninja - down when i visited sfmm Knott's - xcelerator down, perlious plunge with one boat, long lines, no frontline-passes.. (only SilverBullet & Ghostrider saved the park !! ) Time - not having enough time to visit more parks and catch more credits (A wierd family - stole our 2 cameras, RV-Keys, 1 mobilphone and a bag while/after a bus journey then offend and menace us because they were drunk.. (hope they have no mobile reception where they life..)) I'll not discriminate against anyone, but that just sucks !!!)
robinschroder
Although GeForce being out of action was disappointing during the summer months, it's now running better than ever before following its complete overhaul and especially without that first set of trims! Worth every bit of downtime although, of course, it would have been far better for all involved if this could have been done without the accident happening first... Let's hope RingRacer doesn't have to appear on yet another year's list of disappointments in 2011! Here's to a great 2011!
PayneTrain
Windseeker @ CP. No coaster in 4 years = I guess it's different at the point, but Busch Gardens Williamsburg didn't get one for a eight (?) year stretch, where one (albeit the Wild Maus) was even removed! I hope Cedar Fair can put Draggin' Iron out of its sorry misery in 2011 to build something that goes faster than my car in a residential zone. *tangent* How many suspended coasters are left now? Five? I mean, Eagle's Fortress and the Wolf closing in the same year, before I even got over losing XLR-8, should just force any other swinger to be put out to pasture. The pain is just too great to bear. It's like taking out all the Schwarzkopfs and replacing them with Vekoma boomerangs--tragic beyond imagination. Yeah, I like suspendeds and Schwarzkopfs. I'm weird. *tangent*
PAL
Paint. Not so much because it brought down a pointlessly dull launch coaster. No, it's presence on Knott's Pony Express brake fins caused a second notable coaster accident in just over a year. What's up with your preventative maintenance Knott's? It doesn't look good. Here's hoping they get it together and invest in the park.
Myself
All of mine are personal (not general such as Mean Streak surviving its fire)... -I, along with five co-workers, were all going to visit Dorney Park during August, centered around a birthday. We made all the necessary arrangements and plans, we all got the day off on the schedule, etc. Less than a week before the day came, we cancelled it on account of the birthday boy screwing us over. -I visited Lakemont Park for the third time this summer and STILL don't have the Toboggan credit (as torturous as it is made out to be)... -I only got three new credits this year...which is better than none...I know... The Big So-So
The passing of Will Koch. I made my first trek to Holiday World this summer and was looking forward to being greeted by him when I entered the gate, but I was a few days too late. I know he had a lot more to offer the theme park world, and I just hope Holiday World continues going on as strongly as it did under his guidance. SenseOFone
A few big let downs: Announcing Windseeker at Knott's, then not knowing where it's going to go Terminator Salvation: The Ride becoming Apocalypse. Seriously, I'll always know it as simply Terminator. Son of Beast being SBNO We went to King's Island, and got to ride The Beast, but not his son. YoshiFan
Removal of Scream Machine at Great Adventure. It was really running well this year, especially the red train and I was hoping they would keep the ride and built Green Lantern elsewhere. Cutbacks at Six Flags. Park hours were cut for much of the season at Great Adventure (7:00 closings at the end of the summer, September weekend hours and June weekday hours cut and November operating days canceled), getting rid of Funatics, possibly getting rid of Season Pass holder nights (not listed for 2011 and other events past when the first one would have been are already listed) and even next season opening day is 2 weeks later than this season. Ride removals at Dorney Park. Demon Drop should have never been installed at a park with a modern drop tower especially because the bumper cars were removed. Now at the end of this season they are removing a family flat, Balloon Race, only to replace it with a kiddie balloon ride and they are removing all of Tot Spot's rides including Little Laser and Dragon Coaster so even with the new rides in Planet Snoopy they are losing more rides than what is being added. That leaves Woodstock's Express as the only coaster for kids under 44" now.

OldJJman
Hearing that Eagle's Fortress *IS* scheduled to be demolished. IMO, one of the ALL-TIME greatest rides! Thanks to TPR, I was able to ride it 20+ times. World of Color. While technically brilliant, I didn't want to see an infomercial, and that's exactly what I got. The upsell "picnic" was a total waste of money, crappy food, and still herded to stand and watch a show. Thank goodness for good company! The ONLY redeeming thing was the "TRONcore".Two minutes, really cool, and utilized the area to it's fullest (though I have absolutely NO interest in Tron). I think the only thing missing was a forced exit thru a gift shop. Lame. Lame. Lame. But my biggest disappointment - NOT GETTING A SINGLE NEW CREDIT IN 2010!!!! I've heard SoB is exactly that, but an experience is an experience. Just like I was sad that I never got to ride Flashback here before they demolished it. John Knotts
This was HUGE for me, nothing else even comes close. I had a 30 minute conversation with the guy just a few weeks before he passed. He is almost solely responsible for my mid-life change in career and attitude. But I have a few others: -That so many are disappointed in World Of Color. -That CGA was once again passed over for a major ride, and the trend continues next year! -The loss of Jay Thomas at SFMM. Something tells me this will be felt in 2011.

Erik Johnson
For me it was the lackluster Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando this year. Also, as much as I think the new Harry Potter area is awesome, the new entrance way into Dueling Dragons/Challenge is rather lackluster when compared to the original version. At least the coaster still rocks.
cfc
^I agree about the changes to the Dragons' queue--pretty weak compared to what it used to be.
Mechanic
The ongoing 49ers new stadium project continuining to keep CGA in limbo is still a big disappointment to me. If it weren't for Bay Area Bash, I wouldn't have visited CGA this year at all.
Solid Gold
My Two are both already mentioned, but also very personal. Expedition GeForce Down: I was highly fortunate to get to go to Germany this year, but I don't see myself getting to go to Europe again for quite a while. I had certainly planned on my trip to get to Holiday Park and ride it. Had to rearrange and substitute in a trip north to Heide which turned out to be the most crowded day ever with hour+ lines on every ride in the park. Darned Intamin! Eagle's Fortress: Easily the saddest news of the year for me. S. Korea is number 1 on my list of study abroad destinations next year (barring War of course!). The TPR video of the ride is impressive as hell.

deguy123
I'd have to say I305(trims) at KD. I know some people don't agree with me but I was extremely excited about the coaster but was extremely disappointed. I will definately give it another chance in 2011 to see if the changes change my mind, because I'm going to go back with an open mind. Great Adventure taking out GASM was also disappointing. I'm not a big fan of standups but GASM was running really good the last time I rode it. Also pulling into the parking lot will not be the same, it always stood out! BitterOldHag
Then again, they could build a giant turd in the middle of main street... Wouldn't that have been Light Magic? At least the locals even turned against that one. My disappointments: - Violence at amusement parks. Seabreeze had to close over Memorial Day weekend because of rumors that a gang fight would be held at the park. Over at Kennywood, two girls got into a fight and one ended up being stabbed. When I was at Waldameer in July, two guys were hurling f-bombs at each other in line for RF2 and kept making threatening comments. When a ride op asked what was going on, one of the guys said "You'd better shut the f--- up or you'll be next." Thankfully it ended well with security escorting a very irate guy out of the line, but still, at a family park, leave that crap at home. - Wild Thing at Valleyfair. What I expected was a decent ride like Dorney's Steel Force. What I got was anything but. - The fact that someone at Cedar Fair thought the updated music for Cedar Downs was great. It's simply awful and I feel sorry for the ride op that has to listen to that infernal song over and over and over again each day.
