rolercstrluvr Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I felt that a corkscrew would fit in better there rather than that hill that was previously there.
Legoguy1395 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 As seen here : Wha... Whaa?!? How in the WORLD did you get custom cars for No limits? Its not possible!

coasterkyle Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 ^^ that is from the park. No Limits offers there services to Parks and Manufactures to show off new coasters. It is also more in depth then the $30 version that the average person can buy. ^beat me to it
ernierocker Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 This is ride just one of the many reasons to do the Scandi Tour in 2014. Hopefully, it is as awesome as it looks! And if it isn't, there is always Balder!
per2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Liseberg has changed Helix again, now it is the part after the second launch that has been changed.
SharkTums Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 For those of us not following this super close, can someone explain what the changes are compared to when the ride was first announced?
per2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Instead of an Twisted Hump and a Corkscrew they will have an Inverted Top Hat and an Airtime Hump, the reason why they did so is that they are not sure if the trains would get the power to reach the station. They have also added a Corkscrew to the start of the coaster, right after the train leaves the station.
Moose Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 These seem like small changes that we normally wouldn't hear about if the ride wasn't announced so early.
SharkTums Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Thanks for the info...I don't think they can really do much wrong with this project so I can't wait to see how it continues to evolve over the next year and a half.
KingRCT3 Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 the reason why they did so is that they are not sure if the trains would get the power to reach the station. What? What's your source? Actually I don't see how, by changing two elements, it can affect the final speed. I mean, it's not shorter than the previous layout. Can you tell us more, please?

Can you tell us more, please? http://projekthelix.se/ny-banlayout-efter-launch-2/ is my source Liseberg sais that the highest point after launch 2 will be taller with the Inverted Top Hat (almost 40 m)
KingRCT3 Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Ok thanks! Good news! I guess that means the second launch will be faster and stronger!
DBru Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 So pretty much, with the addition of the top hat, if the train has enough speed to make it through that element, it will make it to the end of the ride. If not, it will roll back and relaunch. With the prior layout, the train could have had enough speed to make it through the first couple elements, but then valley in the middle of the course.
Loefet Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I'm not really fond of this change, they have removed some of the nice flow the old section had, but as long as it's not as slow as the video shows in the beginning then it might end up OK. I will be really sad if it ends up like Kanonen. Some other updates from the park: They are working hard to get ready for the winter season which starts next Friday. Added the star to the massive "Christmas Tree" Shows how much they are doing for the next season. The whole Kid area is more or less a building site, I really wonder how many of the attractions that will be open next Friday, since most of it is a pile of dirt. _koppen Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I'm not to found of this change either, but I trust Mack to 100%, so I'm sure this one will be just as awesome as Blue Fire.
per2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Liseberg has uploaded a video from the lifting of the star
Nrthwnd Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 ^ I'm not too great with heights... But that was a great video! And ooooo....Scandi Tour in 2014?
per2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Liseberg opened for the Christmas Season today Photo is taken from the Liseberg's Facebook Page Here is a YouTube video I found of the lighting of the Christmas "AtmosFear" Three http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uU23bSCKn9o
cfc Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I'd love to see Liseberg over the Christmas season--I bet they do it up right.
3Mutts Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 ^^ You know, I find it funny when parks reuse old pictures (Atmosfear is still Liseberg Tower in that picture) but it looks really pretty!
gisco Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 ^ I'm not too great with heights... But that was a great video! And ooooo....Scandi Tour in 2014? Ditto!
