coasterdude5 Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Does Balder have some competition? This looks awesome.
Wes Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Does this mean another TPR Korea trip is in the works? They are already going to Korea this year as part of the Japan add-on.
kennywood!007 Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I really wish there was another angle of the model. Liek and overview.
robbalvey Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Does this mean another TPR Korea trip is in the works? They are already going to Korea this year as part of the Japan add-on. And possibly again for an Everland run next year as an add-on for our China trip in 2008! --Robb "Although our 2008 trips are still pending, that would be the plan!" Alvey
Louise Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 77 degrees?! Awesome! That 70 degree drop on Balder is amazing, if this is as great a coaster that's gonna be insane. Stupid Korea, couldn't they have done this for THIS year?! Edited because Robb beat me to it.
ginzo Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 77 degrees?! Awesome! That 70 degree drop on Balder is amazing, if this is as great a coaster that's gonna be insane. Stupid Korea, couldn't they have done this for THIS year?! Well, I heard that it was originally planned for this year, but they had to take out the heart line roll. Also, the park is suing Intamin for $10 billion dollars.
coasterguy618 Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Wow, it looks like ET's drop and first hill mirrored, with two of Balders turnaround, and ET's hill over Rolling Thunder. Wow, it looks amazing.
coasterCrAzY505 Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 This looks amazing but I can't believe my beloved ET's drop record was taken with only one degree! Haha, I have no idea when I'm going to get to Korea but when I do, this is te first thing I am riding!
Théo the little french Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 It looks like very much Balder! There will be another argument between Elissa and I don't remember who (we can see him in the video of El Toro)
yankees15 Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 This coaster looks AMAZING! It could defiantly end up being the best plug and play yet.
Loefet Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 It looks like very much Balder! From the second airtimehill (the one in front of the lifthill) then it is a near clone of Balder.
Airtime&Gravity Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 This coaster looks amazing, and it can easily be the #1 wood coaster. Even though it is a near clone of Balder, the taller drop and additional large airtime hills should be enough to put it ahead of the pre-fabricated wooden coasters.
ECZenith Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Man, anyone else notice Asia has been getting some seriosuly good STUFF recently! I'm in love!
raptor6 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 More information: It will be 5383ft long (1641m) 151ft high (46m) 65mph (106km/h). And the first drops angle is 77Degrees. That sounds amazing. Where exactly did you find this information? An Intamin pre-fab terrain wooden roller coaster...I like it already!!
Canobie Fan Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I don't remember who (we can see him in the video of El Toro) And that would be me....
Thom25 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 WOW, this ride looks like a winner for sure. Thank you for the pictures! We need a few more of these in the States. I couldn't disagree more with Rob's definition of ejector air and ET, and suspect this one will deliver the goods as well. Imo, the back of ET is insane!
alpengeist04 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Dammit!!! When I said I wanted another Intamin woodie built, I didn't mean half way around the world. Still, it looks very good.
Théo the little french Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I don't remember who (we can see him in the video of El Toro) And that would be me.... Yes it's you! (I had to go on your web site and see a photo of you to be sure) Sorry for my "way to call you"

Even though it is a near clone of Balder, the taller drop and additional large airtime hills should be enough to put it ahead of the pre-fabricated wooden coasters. I kind of doubt enough people will ride it for it too be #1. The closest I see it getting in the Mitch Hawker polls is having not enough riders to rank in the poll, but if it did have enough riders it would rank as #1.
TheArchfiend Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Nice! Eat your heart out El Toro! Now South Korea is going to have a Intamin wooden coaster and an Aqua Trax! I'm in love!
PCman Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Nice yes I hope we get more over here in the states here is the coaster zoomed in a little [/i]
suave1226 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Am I the only one salivating over the turn after the second drop how it seems to wind its way to the third big hill in the back of the second. Anyway the ride looks great.
Gutterflower Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Note: Edited after post below Heres some construction pics from the other day. most footers and some structure are in around the bottom turnarounds source: http://blog.naver.com/fl0621/80038482795 (Never did figure how to link to specific pages on that site )
