Skramp Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 What is the ride you miss the most? Might be SBNO (like mine=Flashback at SFMM) or completely gone (King Cobra). **Let's see if I can have a post that doesn't get locked within 5 minutes**
easytoremember Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I would have to say either Viper or freefall, both of which are at SFOG. Since SFOG is my home park, I had many chances to ride both of them, and now that they are gone, I miss them very much.
coasterlover04 Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I really miss Shockwave at Six Flags Great America
YoshiFan Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Horizons at WDW, if it has to be a coaster then City Jet at Gillian's Wonderland Pier
Jew Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 El Toro. Balder. Colossos. Since I won't be riding them again anytime soon...for my intents and purposes they are gone. And they're completely amazingly awesome.
Scaparri Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Quake, the Vekoma Waikiki Wave that used to be at SFKK that was replaced for a crappy, generic water slide. What a freakin' awesome ride. Honorable mentions: -Shockwave, SFGAm -Phantom Theater, KI
bulldogmom Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 No thinking about this one needed..... DRACHEN FIRE!
pete4winds Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I'm totally setting myself up for lots of hate and discontent, but imma hafta say Viper at GADV. Yes, my "most missed ride" is a Togo Death Machine...what does that say about me?
lapseofreason Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Corkscrew at Geauga Lake. Not only was it my first coaster EVER, it's still one of my favorites... and yes, I consider it gone because I don't think I'll ever make it to India just to ride it again.
Guest Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Being the wood coaster fanatic I am, Screechin' Eagle at Americana/LeSourdsville would likely be at the top of the list but, in spite of my favoring woodies, Zambezi Zinger gives it a run for its money. Off the top of my head, I'd probably also give honorable mentions to Whalom Park's Whip, Flying Scooters, and Flyer Comet coaster, as well as the Sky Pilot and singing mushrooms (admittedly not a ride...unless perhaps you were on mushrooms while watching them) at Kings Dominion. -Jason...almost forgot--Lakeside's Heart Flip, too
Axman Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I miss Greezed Lightnin' fro PGA. It was fast, fun, and never had a line! Six Flags bought it for parts!
jamesdillaman Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Wood: Screechin' Eagle at LeSourdsville Steel: King Cobra at KI -James Dillaman
Masked_Maverick Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 White Water Landing. The only water ride at Cedar Point I would ride more than once in a while since it didn't get you soaked like Snake River Falls does.
redfoot12 Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Drachen Fire I only rode it once in 1993 and I definitely had a headache after riding it but I liked it anyway. I also never rode it after they removed that corkscrew.
Electerik Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Ooh, time to beat my favorite dead horse: Revolution & Colossus at SFMM.
errtyme Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Wow, I can't believe someone else said Shockwave at SFGAm...but, I gotta jump on that bandwagon too. I'm sure there are some PTC, John Allen designed coasters that have since gone by the wayside that I would have loved. Clay "Screamin' Eagle represent!" Lamanske
alanjonesbath Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 non-Coaster most missed would have to be Kongfrontation at USF. As for coasters, it would have to be Thunder Looper at Alton Towers. One of the first coaster I rode along with Corkscrew, so it's just a shame it's not there any more
bigstevet07 Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I would go with Shockwave also. I miss the Zambezi Zinger also. 100th post!!
verticalzero Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 King Cobra at KI Thunderlooper at AT Dearly missed Turbine at Walibi Belgium helped heal some joy last year.
Medusa1861 Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Viper: SFgadv Reason: It was the coaster that made me a coaster enthusiast! If it wasn't for Viper, I would probaby be like... playing Gears of War right now.
Alpenguy Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I miss Greezed Lightning / Tidal Wave at PGA, it was such a great re-ride coaster on quiet days, and so fun. I'm also sad I won't get to ride Black Hole at AT again, that ride was definitely very cool. Of course, going back to the UK anytime in the future doesn't look likely anyways, but that's not the point.
