  1. I'm gonna have to go with LAX. But I have no idea where they're going. Actually, if it was me I'd just hang out at the airport all day but I'm a freak for stuff like that, so... -Amanda "I love airports" V.
  2. Yay! I knew there was a reason I moved back to California! The track length seems a little short to me, but judging from the video it looks like a pretty sweet coaster. What's the smoothness factor on GCI coasters? My husband's worried about that since he broke his neck (no joke) on Psyclone. I know it won't be that rough but he's already saying I'll have to ride it first before him. -Amanda "This'll give me another reason to come out of lurk mode too" V.
  3. Awwwwwwwwwwwww. These photos make me really sad. Yet I can't wait to see more. I really wish I had one more chance to go to GL.
  4. I'm f'ing exhausted. But sleeping about 2 hours the night before'll do that to you. Stupid roommates.
  5. Wow. Now I feel old. Actually, what's worse is the kids that walk through CP wearing shirts that say "Class of 2012", etc. Now THAT freaks me out sometimes. Where'd the last seven years go? -Amanda "Um... Class of 2001 rocks?" V.
  6. ^Basically every time the train approaches or leaves one of the stations, if you're on the back of the train. The spiel used to be a LOT longer (there was stuff about Boneville), but they eventually cut the whole thing because nobody could time it right. Now we're just required to do safety stuff.
  7. Found this over at Pointbuzz:www.pointbuzz.com/newsstory.aspx?id=1254 Click on the "CP&LE Railroad Audio" link near the bottom of the page and listen to it. That's me spieling at the beginning. Hey, it made my day. EDIT: You first hear me at about 30 seconds into it, then at about 4 minutes.
  8. I LOVE log flumes. My favorite has to be Log Jammer at SFMM. I haven't really been on a bad one either, but I have to say my least favorite was a portable one I rode at the IX Indoor Amusement Park a few years back. The water was really nasty and on top of that my friend and I did get wet and smelled all day. Ick.
  9. I'll throw in my two cents since I actually got a chance to ride Mean Streak last week. I actually found it a LOT smoother than Psyclone was. Maybe it's true that it does run smoother in cold weather though; I'll have to give it a try later in the summer and see how rough it is.
  10. It was... thanks for stopping by and saying hi, it pretty much made my day!
  11. I didn't even know that there WERE ride nights before opening.... cool!
  12. I haven't gone overboard on mentioning it, so I'll jump in. If you look to your left and below you, I'm working at Cedar Point this summer. I'm 99% sure I'll be on the CP&LE Railroad (the train); if this changes I'll let you guys know. My name tag'll read "Amanda - Fairport Harbor, Ohio" and if you have no idea what I look like, go to www.myspace.com/amandavincelli. Hope to meet some TPR people (finally) this summer!
  13. I want to say the one at Geauga Lake used to go forwards then backwards, but don't quote me on it. (Maybe I'm thinking of Hay Baler?)
