TheStig Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Millennium Force. Only because its just a giant toaster!
Reon Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Dueling Dragons, Hands down. Brilliant themeing all over the ride area, and the queu/station is no exception. I love those little details they put in like the frozen guys on the celing, and all the voiceovers/storyline stuff. Finally, that latin touch makes it look more authentic (Convocae tuum Fortunuum sign at the point where you chose your side. Roughly translates into "chose your fate" if I can still remember my latin correctly.)
kraxleRIDAH Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Knott's Jaguar! The "small" coaster with "big" coaster theming.
bgwfreak Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Dueling Dragons for me. Oh wait, I'll go with Disaster Transport and that nifty 80's theming.
Golfie Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Paul Bunyan's Log Ride @ MOA because of its winding caves which are used as the queue. Viper at SFGAm has a lot of great theming. Batman: The Ride at SFGAm is great inside... it really gets you into the mood for the ride.
CD Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I definitely have to go with Mr. Freeze, at SFOT (I have never ridden the St. Louis version). Batman, also at SFOT. This is my favorite version of the ride. Dueling Dragons: Simply amazing. Revenge of the Mummy. Any Disney ride. One of my favorite stations. The train moving thing is awesome, and it's cold inside. Best themed SF coaster ever.
TheBannedKid Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Pretty much any Disney ride, or at least the E-Ticket rides. I'm also fond of McDonald's: The Ride...Tatsu that is.
CD Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I forgot to add another of my favorite stations, only at night though. Top Thrill Dragsters (Night) station. One of my favorite stations, and my favorite "after-dark" station.
DarkMeasures Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 For a non-coaster. I would say either Tower of Terror WDW or Dinosaur. For a coaster, I would probably choose Space Mountain WDW. You would think that Dueling Dragons would top it but the thing is, that on Dueling Dragons, everything but the Station area seems to be heavily themed. All Dueling dragons has is the tower and a tarp and wooden beams... But WDW SpaceMountain, though dated, is all kinds of awesome as being that you can see the coaster above, and then you got those purple tunnel dealies, and you got the mission control building, and the TVs, and other things and it is quite a bit of eye candy. (Though the ride really needs some sort of massive rehab.)
Jeroen_twee Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 De Vliegende Hollander (not open yet, but very nice) Station The boat enters the station here. This one is how it will look like. Opens 1 April 2007 at Efteling.
PirateTinkerbell Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Disney rides in general. Space Mountain, Ghostrider, and Indiana Jones
ECZenith Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I really like MF's station for some reason ,I think its the neon lights that do it for me.
chmilo24 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Sorry I coulden't find any pictures but I think Top Guns queue. Not so much the station but as you wait in line, its like your in a supercarrier. The props they use and backrounds, outstanding.
obeygiant Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Disney rides in general. Amen to that! Well, all except It's Small World!
coastervekoma Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 probably ghost rider at knotts. but i also like Giant Dipper at Santacruz beach boardwalk!
PKI Jizzman Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Come to think of it, Beast's is pretty cool with the old shack.....never really have to time to look at it as I go through the empty qeue's. [pics by me] Warninggg ahhhh screams of painnnn Cool freaky signs and flashing lights The lair of the Beast
bigjohnson51 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I really like Mr. Freeze at Six Flags St. Louis
HPComet Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 If it counts, the main Disneyland Railroad station.
Virdu_ Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I love Ulysses' Rescue(Terra Mítica)'s station: Dueling Dragons and Expedition Everest stations are really good too.
CoastersNSich Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 How can you overlook the Gemini station? It's a great example of Modernism at a coaster station! Gemini's station and exit. The banners and the station's glass ceiling in the middle.
socalMAN123 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 -Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye (totally sweet) -Space Mountain (great use of lights) -Dueling Dragons (unbelievable) -Hulk (looks pretty cool) -Dr. Doom's FearFall (awesome line themeing) -Ghostrider (love the rustic feel) -Pirates of the Caribbean (great outdoor themeing) -Tower of Terror A.K.A. Good Tower (the boiler room is awesome) ---Brent Tower of Terror Dr. Doom's FearFall Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye The Incredible Hulk Dueling Dragons Space Mountain
WildStangAlex Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 I am going to be so not original and jump on somebody's bandwagon. After looking at all the above selections I would have to most agree with Tower of Terror at WDW. I love the integration of the station into the whole experience. My runner-up would definitely be Flight of Fear at PKI, because I really enjoy the whole preview story as you wait in line. I can't tell you how many times I was on that ride before realizing that there was a mirror on the wall. LOL!
Dailey Enterprizes Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Top Thrill Dragster's station: Word...
