Thank you! My friend was at Sea World San Diego yesterday describing it to me, and I was like, I'm so familiar with those I just don't know what they're called. Much appreciated! -

That's correct. What's the technical name? -

I have a question and maybe one of you, more enlightened, individuals has the answer. On many newer rides in place of a remote enable button, there is a little module where the op places his finger, or sometimes hand, to enable dispatch. Does anybody know what I am referring to, and what those types of inputs are called? Thanks! -

I believe it is on FL+ because of capacity more than quality of ride. -

I must say I had sky high expectations going to the park, as I had visited Silver Dollar City just last year, and that blew me away. Well Dollywood managed to blow me away yet again. The attention to detail in every aspect of the park is incredible. Not only is it a Theme Park, it is a park with a theme appropriate to the region it's in. Every single staff member was over the top friendly and accommodating. And not fake-friendly like Chick-fil-A, this was genuine southern hospitality, at its finest. I thoroughly enjoyed the 5 major coasters, and each one surprised me more than the last. After hearing glowing reviews of Tennessee Tornado, I expected it to be good, for an Arrow. Well, it was not only good for an Arrow, but I enjoyed it more than any B&M looper I've been on even. WOW! The food was quite excellent as well, but there was not as much variety as Silver Dollar City. I could go on and on about the park, but I think Zach has done a pretty good job with that. I just can't wait to get back to the Great Smoky Mountains. -

And we're still talking about birds of prey... -
Get there before opening (you should already be lined up to park) and head straight to Goliath. It has been opening early on some days. Ride that in the back if the grouper will allow. If you're alone; Goliath, Batman and Superman all have Single Rider Queues, look for the signs. Go fresh grill in the food court, JB's Sports Bar in Southwest Territory, and Mooseburger Lodge are the best restaurants. Raging Bull is a must in the back. I also prefer Eagle Red over Eagle Blue. X Flight either side in front is awesome. The train is operational again, running round trip journeys departing in hometown square next to Triple Play. Sit on the right side for excellent views of Goliath.

Speedwell According to wikipedia, Speedwell was a 60-ton pinnace that, along with Mayflower, transported the pilgrims and was the smaller of the two ships. A vessel of the same name and size traveled to the New World seventeen years prior as the flagship of the first expedition of Martin Pring -
Stopped by the park today after Holiwood Nights. The line for Lightning Run spilled into the midway, and the operations were abysmal at best for that ride. Even still it only took about 45 minutes total to get on. We rode in the last row. WOW! This ride has suck it's way into my top ten steel coasters. I cannot believe how incredibly smooth it rode while delivering constant ejector air time. Now I know there's been a lot of chatter on the restraints. While they were fairly restrictive, I didn't find them to be too awful. It's just when you have that kind of ejector airtime, it does kind of abuse your thighs. The only other ride we rode today was Thunder Run. It was pretty decent, not too rough and has some pretty good air time. I have been on it before, in 2006, and today's ride was definitely better, but it still isn've a very memorable ride. I do get really annoyed with single train operations, and Thunder does not have a second train. The park overall looked pretty good, but they still have a lot of work ahead of them. I'm just very happy to see the place open and full of people. I mean it was seriously packed. Good for them! That should help the checkbook!

I know it is a STRETCH, but does anybody else see similarities between the drawing of footers above, and the footers on Helix?: http://rcdb.com/11048.htm#p=48978
