CoasterFanatic1000 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 1. Somebody must've threatened to sue TPR. 2. Does this ban apply to pictures taken of Mean Streak during park sanctioned events and park operating hours? Banned for being an idiot. Sorry, we just don't need any more stupid people on TPR. I apologize for my post. I wasn't trying to be stupid and am sincerely sorry if it came across being stupid. I was just trying to get clarification of the new Mean Streak Photo rule. My Apologies.
coasterkyle Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) 2. If the opening's being delayed Ugh... Seriously, people. Why have we stopped using our brains??? They would need a brain in order for it to stop working. Fixed.... should have used my brain before posting lol Edited February 6, 2017 by coasterkyle

coasterkid21 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Let's move away from talk of the ban. It's a respectable rule but it's either making someone ask a stupid question or having everyone jump on an insult wagon towards someone who made a stupid question and we don't need this tension. Has anyone seen of Maverick backwards and reversed? It's so bizarre seeing brake runs act as launches. It's an older video but I hadn't seen it in a while.

So let me get this straight. We banned you for being an idiot, and what do you do? You go and create a new screen name to get around that ban to make ANOTHER post still talking about the thing that you were being stupid about. Let me clarify two things for you: 1. If you weren't a moron, you wouldn't need "clarification" as my instruction was already clear enough. 2. Your second account was banned for breaking our forum rules and continuing to be the idiot that got you banned in the first place.

DoinItForTheFame Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 *steps forward* The new website is looking nice. *backs away* I was actually just browsing the new site, and I really like how it looks!
MartinU Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Has anyone seen of Maverick backwards and reversed? It's so bizarre seeing brake runs act as launches. Agreed, it is bizarre. Since it has such a low layout it would almost work. The Last/First hill would have some serious ejector airtime if it somehow did run that way. I also agree, the new site is looking nice. And as Tony said in the CP blog, it's still being worked on.
Philrad71 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) ^^^ I'm with you there...I think that they've done a great job with it! I especially like the POV's for most of the major rides and coasters - a great idea! I'm also interested to see the Soak City remake into Cedar Shores this upcoming season. I'm already liking the new theme, new names (Muffleheads FTW!) and the new slide tower complex is sure to be a hit - as well as something that the park sorely needed. prozach626 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 After reading the last several pages, I now have a completely clear perspective as to why Robb and Elissa no longer do TPR tours. Pages 3650 - 3653 do a better job of explaining this than the entire "This is why we no longer do TPR tours" thread.
Running_Buddy Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 *Grabs popcorn* I really hope CP doesn't officially announce the RMC project for as long as possible, cause this thread has fallen apart and is highly entertaining. Also, Robb, loved the mic drop on Trump. Mark
kenban Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Websites like TPR and coaster clubs like Club TPR require the assistance of the parks. That is how TPR is allowed to produce the on-ride videos, and participate in park events. It is in the best interests of this website and others like it to follow the rules of the park.
drummermattk Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I thnk ths whole Mean Streak stuff has made us forget one thing............. Point Plummit has gone vertical and it looks like the construction team are working hard on this beautiful Ohio day! Credit @JasonMcClure on Twitter

EccentricGamerCL Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 This may be a stupid question, but does that include photos not taken from the peninsula (i.e. Battery Park or Bay Point)? Yes, it's a stupid question. Here's an idea... why don't you go ahead and post those photos and then let's see what happens to you? I wasn't planning on it. Thanks, Robb, for the clarification. My apologies for the stupid question.
DirkFunk Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 *steps forward* The new website is looking nice. *backs away* *pops head in window* I think the cross platform use considerations are wise but I am not convinced about some of the categories. "Social butterflies" takes you to events and upcharge drink plans? I mean, OK, that wasn't what I was thinking it would do but sure. (also: so much for the all you can drink plan. souvenir bottles are back for 2017 BAYBAY) *turns, walks away from open window*
Password121 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 As much as I think the drink plan would've been fantastic and helped operations and locker frustrations, the environmentalist side of me is happier this way
Superbatboy Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Honestly, this is why Trump is our president because people are just this dumb now.
DoubleDown Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) As much as I think the drink plan would've been fantastic and helped operations and fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo frustrations, the environmentalist side of me is happier this way Agreed. Way too much trash with the disposable cup plan. If the souvenir cup is too much of an inconvenience for cheap year around drinks, don't buy one. But I just can't imagine how much trash might increase around the park if they just give out free disposable cups all day long. As far as the pics of Meaner Streak, I think some people who don't frequent the site routinely might have been confused because for a while it seemed like photos were being posted that didn't seem OK to post and nobody said anything to the people posting them (or atleast that was what I witnessed). But I think it has been pretty clear from the get-go of this RMC project, and in this thread, that this site doesn't want any "non official" Cedar Point Mean Streak construction photos, to respect the relationship between this site and the park. It's not that hard to understand, seeing as how they and many parks go out of their way to provide a lot of events for this site (or used to). And I can understand where Robb's coming from with it being irritating because he probably has to hear about it VIA Cedar Point if he doesn't do something. So it becomes one of those things where watching the thread and disciplining people is like watching dumb children who won't behave. Instead he doesn't have time for this shit so he just comes and lays down the banhammer to not have to deal with it. And last, the website! Man I miss that animated skyline shot they used to have of the park with all the coasters going through their circuits! That was so cool! Does anyone remember that or am I aging myself? How long has it been since they took that away? Edited February 6, 2017 by robbalvey
grsupercity Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 ^ I used to love that animated skyline as well. I think they removed it around 2010?
RAWKIN_coaster38 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Dang this thread has been a mess, so I do appreciate any "weeding out" Robb has done and hopefully it will be a lot better in here! I'm still very looking forward to Winter Chill-Out (It's honestly the only thing I have planned this month) whether or not we will be able to see or take any photos of Mean Streak. I think a lot of us (at least me!) have grown "used" to leaks and construction progress photos, but patience can pay off. Whether this is going to be the most "OMFG I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE EVER!" coaster or not, I'm still looking forward to whenever the park announces this. Oh, and I, too, am glad that the reusable bottles are returning. I don't really like carrying them around all day, but I don't like the idea of endless disposable cups. I'm just imagining the Maverick pond floating with a sea of disposable cups that people threw in there. Just no. It's easy to refill the bottles with water if you don't want soda and don't want to wait in line. Even if you don't want to buy the most recent "year" of cup, I've brought them just to refill with water.
Nrthwnd Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) ^ I have my own "variety" of refillable cups (tall mugs?) to pick from, for future trips. It just makes sense to me to bring my own, although the cups offered are recyclable, yes? No? And as far as refilling with just water and all... you can bring along one of those liquid water flavor things, that carry very easy in even a pants pocket. And you can bag it in a small baggy, just in case of "leakage." A squirt of that into your water bottle, and you have your fave flavor....like lemonade. True, it's probably all chemicals in it. But definitely a change from cola or sugar heaped drinks, yes? No? Since it's Cedar Fair, I could bring my Knott's one, to Cedar Point, hmm? (o: Edited February 6, 2017 by Nrthwnd
