DoinItForTheFame
Hopefully this is a start for Cedar Fair working with RMC. Some of the chain's woodies don't really need it (like GhostRider), but those with weak layouts to begin with (Mean Streak. . . CoasterBill is going to wash your mouth out with Jägermeister. LiftThrill
Mean Streak having a weak layout doesn't make it a bad ride, but it's definitely overshadowed by the amazingness that is Blue Streak's ejector airtime. If MS were at my homepark I'd be on it all the time.
coasterbill
It's Hurler. First of all we know something is going on with it. Second of all they announced it by posting a picture of Dramamine talking about how they're "really going to need this". I hate when stupid enthusiasts look for Easter eggs where they don't exist but this is pretty cut and dry. Coasters that make you "hurl" require Dramamine. madmax
I wonder what will happen with Carowinds' Hurler? Not sure if I'd expect the same treatment as KD's since it's their only wooden coaster.

coasterbill
You'd think that and you'd be wrong. Disney, Universal and the entire Busch Sea World chain (until next year) has a grand total of zero wood coasters and they're doing just fine. Nobody cares except dumb enthusiasts. The only experience wooden coasters give that steel coasters don't is the experience of being on a wooden coaster.
DILinator
I just watched a POV of KD's Hurler to refresh my memory of its layout, with an RMC conversion in mind... Man, talk about a boring ride! Even getting through the POV of it was tedium I just couldn't wait to end! Bring on CF's first RMC in 2017!!! (And then look for their second at CP in 2018! )
Mossed
I already really like the Kings Dominion ride lineup and layout of the park. Actually my second favorite in the chain. Add an RMC to a lineup that has I-305?! A return trip is in order. Still hoping for Mean Streak, though. edit - I really hope that doesn't mean GCI is going to work on Mean Streak. DILinator
^I've always felt the RMC Streak for 2017 seemed a little soon... And I really believe a Soak City expansion is in the works for next year. But 2018 RMC Streak wouldn't surprise me in the least!

MidwestThemeParks
^I've always felt the RMC Streak for 2017 seemed a little soon... I agree. That would be five years in a row of coasters (depending on your definition of a coaster). 2013- Gatekeeper 2014- Pipe Scream (the questionable year) 2015- Rougarou 2016- Valravn 2017- Would be the new Mean Streak conversion I think they can take a year off from coasters; they need to build things that appeal to other audiences. I wasn't expecting coaster in 2016. Seems too soon. But Gatekeeper helped Cedar Point achieve record revenue, crowds, and even stock prices in 2013. Makes sense they had a little extra to build a new coaster in 2016.
MagicMountainMan
Random rain question: I can either go to Cedar Point tomorrow or Saturday however it looks like tomorrow might be worse on the rain front. Should I still just go tomorrow and risk the rain or go Saturday and fight a lot more crowds? I'm assuming that the typical CP overreaction to rain still applies and they are closing all of the big rides as soon as a drop of rain appears.
