I'm shocked at how busy Universal and Disney have been the past few weekends. The reason is that the majority of other parks across the US that are open can't even get close to capacity. Where are all these people coming from? They definitely aren't resort guests as they have closed or delayed opening resorts.

No they shouldn't do that right now. With cases rising parks are the last thing that should open. After watching videos from Indiana Beach people obviously can't follow social distancing. -

I live 3-4 hours away from CP so using the tickets and getting the gold pass isnt worth it. Only way itd be worth it would be for CP to credit me the single day tickets towards a gold pass. Then id basically be getting tickets for the following year for $54 (assuming they open this summer) I live 4 hours away and in Canada, I manage to go multiple times a season. Im in Buffalo so youre not far. Pick me up on your way lol. While youre at it cover my work shift, pay for my hotel and for my families food and drink. Oh, and watch my dogs! The reason I can go so often is I get 4 weeks vacation a year. I use 3 of them in summer and I have gone for a weekend a couple of times too. I leave at 5am Friday and come home Sunday morning. -

Yeah it's a family event, which is why the low amount of adult rides. From what I have heard, the first weekend has been crazy busy. BTW skating is free. Winterfest is not aimed at enthusiasts, its a family friendly version of the. Christmas market in the distillery district. Is it $10 to reserve an ice time, or is it always free? I got the $10 information from Amusement Insiders, which is no surprise as they generally give out incorrect information. At first, I thought Winterfest was just an easy money grab, but it really does look nice. My family might go a couple of times just to look around, but I think we are going to try to hold onto our wallets, just like at the Toronto Christmas Market where you can pay $15 for a grilled cheese. The skating is only $10 if you want to reserve ahead of time. I was there last weekend and thought it was well worth it, especially if you have a gold pass. -

I have only one con to this merger if it happens and that is the Six Flags love of 1 train ops. The biggest pro for me is how Six Flags does their passes. The fact they advertise all their parks and give better perks for their higher level passes. Cedar Fair would do better if they advertised their Platinum pass more.

I am one that hope it doesn't get re-located. I love WT and love having no wait to ride it. Its a shame a decent coaster gets overlooked by so many. -

Heading there for the first time on Friday and Saturday. Wondering where to get cheap tickets when I get to Pittsburgh? What are some of the best places to eat near the park. -

I just got an email from Wonderland saying my auto renewal starts in September. It looks like it's Cedar Point is the only one changing anything. As far as Platinum pass holders being low, the biggest reason I see is cause they don't advertise it. Anyone I talk to when I go to Wonderland have no idea that the Platinum pass exists or that Cedar Point is included in the pass -
I went at the end of June and everything was pretty much a walk on. If it's true that it's only busy when concerts are scheduled, Darien Lake needs to find a better way to draw people in. As far as concerts go, I have noticed they seem to have less this year too. Dave Matthews didn't even have one there. They came to Toronto but not Darien for some reason

Being early 30's people ask me and my wife if we want to have kids, i always tell them we just practice a lot. I guess going on what Prozach says. I think i have started to hit the same point. I still want to try new parks, and love going to cedar point, but at the same point the two trips i have made to Cedar point this year, i have not stayed past 5. The first trip after riding everything in the park that had been open, i wanted to get one last ride on Raptor, but some teen was laying on the Ground new the entry saying trying to get the picture for Instagram. I knew it was time to leave. The 2nd trip we had a play to stay in port Clinton, and once we left cedar point to let our dog out, I found no reason to go back for the day. I could go have a few drinks and sit and look at the lake and that sounded much nicer then walking around Cedar point. I also understand the friends part. My friends are more willing to say go to a away city for a Hockey game then they will be to go to a city for a Amusement park I haven't reached that part in my life of not wanting to go to parks as much. I have been to Cedar Point quite a few times this year and stayed til the end of the day every time. Now with a baby on the way I am sure I will be going to parks a lot for many years to come. I do understand the friends part too. I am glad my wife likes to go to parks with me cause a lot of my friends are the same. They much prefer going out for a drink on a patio then going to a theme park. Even some of my friends with kids rarely go to parks. -

My experience is close to the same as yours except for the last few years. I decided it's not worth trying to find some one to go parks with so I usually end up traveling to multiple parks on my own. Yes it gets pricey but I do mostly go to Cedar Fair parks as I have a platinum pass. It helps that the company I work for I get 4 weeks vacation a year. -

Any news on the expansion that is proposed for the park? From all the pictures I have seen of the park, it reminds of a park like Waldameer or Fantasy Island. I like parks like that but a city the size of Vancouver should have a park more along the lines of a Wonderland.
