ElectricUncleSam
Call me crazy but nothing about this element screams "loop" to me...inverting or non inverting. To me, a non-inverting loop is what's on Premier's Sky Rocket coasters...Regardless, this ride looks amazing! Non-inverting HALF-LOOP. Look at the bottom half of the turn.

boldikus
This looks amazing, I think a 2016 visit is in order. Do we know how steep that first drop is going to be?

RollerManic
^^^^What he means is that the are laterally far apart, and not "on top of each other". It indeed does look like an upward curve. Edited August 7, 2015 by RollerManic
chargersmichael
After seeing those renderings and the video...I feel like I'm dreaming. This looks absolutely incredible! The location appears very unique too! Racing through those wooded areas and that quadruple down just absolutely looks unreal. I vote Lightning Rod for the best New Ride for 2015. Hilltopper39
Will Dollywood have the best coaster for coaster lineup in the country? I mean even though they only have 6 major coasters they won't have a "dud" in the collection? Everything they have is perfect for what it is, and they basically have the entire spectrum covered with something for everyone.
kcurry11
^I think to complete it they would need some kind of hyper, but other then that, they have a perfect lineup.
gerstlaueringvar
Can I just say how incredibly awesome the train looks? As for the layout, really? Can I ever have a problem with Alan's layout? Still, Cinnamon bread before Lightning Rod.

DILinator
^73 degrees I know the sign says that, but I think it's a misprint. That drop looks much steeper than that, and 73 is how many mph the train will reach coming out of that drop, to claim the speed record. I think they meant to say 73 mph speed there, and not degrees, on that sign...

chickenbowl
The sequence from after the outward banked to the bottom of the quadruple down looks like pure insanity. I will seriously fly out there ASAP!

viking86
Wow that looks absolutely fantastic! That quadruple down, holy crap!!! This might be the most exciting layout to this day from RMC.
coasterbill
^^^^That looks like an exaggerated Tim Burton cartoon of what a roller coaster would look like. That's how insane that looks. I'm in disbelief that someone's seriously building this.
RCT3Bross
Uhg if only I could make it to the US in 2016, but no it's not my time to go overseas yet. That quadruple down looks amezing.

coasterbill
Reading through the comments on Dollywood's Facebook page...not everyone is happy... You can't please everyone... heck you could build (and let me just use a ridiculous, extreme example of some insane fantasy coaster that will never actually be built) a launched wooden RMC terrain coaster through the woods with like 800,000 airtime hills, a quadruple down, what I'm sure will be a beautifully themed station area that leaves the terrain intact and is the fastest wood coaster in the world and I bet people still wouldn't be happy. Oh wait... that's actually what they're building. lol And look, someone's upset that they didn't get a Tilt A Whirl instead.
coasterkid124
Did anybody notice that there's a triple up leading to the quadruple down!?? That's just great balance between the front seat and back seat forces. Normally, only the front seat catches air on double/triple ups, and vice-versa. But these combined will make any seat on the ride a unique and intense experience.

DJeXeL
Oh. My. God. Dollywood just happens to be 35 minutes from where I'll be traveling for business multiple times next summer!! Coincidence??? I think not!
