Moose Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I was there the other night - while it is sad to see some old items go the replacements are awesome. The Volcano Burger (chili, Fritos, "volcanic" cheese and guac on top) was awesome! This sounds absolutely amazing. (I'll just ignore how many calories are probably in it)
PCW_Nut Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I've yet to eat here but damn those Margaritas look amazing!
Hercules Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 ^ If you are looking for a great drink check out the margaritas at Fish Bones. Those things are good. That being said, I love this freakin' place. I make sure I go every time I am in Orlando. I'm not a huge fan of the food to be honest (I am limited as to what I would eat there) but I love the atmosphere.
Philrad71 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Yay for cheese curds and food trip reports! We always have to stop at the Cuba Cheese Shop (about an hour East of our house) whenever we travel to New England to see family and stock up on some curd. Their smoked cheesy curd is to die for so I couldn't imagine how awesome it would taste deep fried! The restaurant itself looks like a lot of fun. I was thinking that we ate in a Jimmy Buffet restaurant when we were in Honolulu and they had a pretty good burger with pineapple and some kind of tropical salsa on it.
Mrlittle Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 That food looks delicious. It was probably bad for me to look at photos of food when I haven't ate in a while. *stomach rumbles*
Aceattack52 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 It's nice that you guys are now operating out of Orlando and you can bring us these quick updates like this!
cfc Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I thought the old Margaritaville menu was OK, but these new items look great. They've always made a good margarita there, too.
Woodie Warrior Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 God, City Walk seems to be adding some good new food choices. Has anyone tried out the new pizza place there?
Jew Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I love the blender cups! I will go to Margaritaville next time just to buy one of those!
PeoplemoverMatt Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Pretzel sticks, boneless chicken bites and spicy jambalaya? Might have to give Margaritaville a try next year on my annual Orlando trip. Never been!
matteocrepaldi Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 That place looks awesome! The night I wanted to go there in the end I changed my mind and I went to the NBA place to watch the game!
arby Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Thanks for the update on the Margaritaville menu. We've eaten at the Myrtle Beach one a few times and thought the same that the food was just decent. While we are not parrotheads either, we always enjoy the atmosphere. It's good to see that the menu has improved so we will probably stop in at the Orlando one during our next visit there.
kidcoaster 2 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I'm not a seafood person but I will have to check this out at some point. That burger looks great!
Rollercoaster Rider Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 That does look good. Does anyone know when Construction on The Bank Coaster is supposed to start?
azza29 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 ^Hasn't it already started? The ride is indoors, so I don't think we're likely to see many photos before it opens.
coasterfreak101 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 That does look good. Does anyone know when Construction on The Bank Coaster is supposed to start? I'm pretty sure it's done at this point - the building is totally closed in I think, and I remember seeing trains getting loaded on a week or two ago so they're probably closing in on testing!
arby Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Speaking of the new Diagon Alley, does anybody have a construction update? Pictures would be awesome.
SoCalCoasters Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 There supposedly going to be a CityWalk announcement on December 12th. What do you guys think it is? Also, doesn't that fit the announcement timeline for the US Thrill Ride's Polercoaster Announcement? I think a Polercoaster at CityWalk could be a really unique addition. Who knows if it will actually be that, but I'll cross my fingers and hope for it.
djboss302 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 ^I honestly hope that happens, but I think the Polercoaster is going in a city/metropolitan area.
ernierocker Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 but I think the Polercoaster is going in a city/metropolitan area. Um, what??? You mean like the one that Universal Studios is located in???
djboss302 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 but I think the Polercoaster is going in a city/metropolitan area. Um, what??? You mean like the one that Universal Studios is located in??? I mean a city like Miami or Tampa. Not the one Universal Studios is located in...
Double0Kevin Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 ^ Because it would be foolish to put a major theme park attraction into the biggest theme park destination in the world? I'm sort of lost on the logic here. Orlando is a perfect location for one of these things. Not to mention the flat landscape would allow for excellent views up in the tower.
Meteornotes Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I've thought since learning about it that the Polercoaster would probably end up on I-Drive somewhere, but putting it at CityWalk would certainly be an interesting choice. dt
