DoinItForTheFame
More from IAAPA--day 3! I really could see this being a good fit at Silver Dollar City. I can only imagine how amazing of theming the park could do with, and on it!! #WeCanOnlyHope
Shavethewhales
More from IAAPA--day 3! I really could see this being a good fit at Silver Dollar City. I can only imagine how amazing of theming the park could do with, and on it!! #WeCanOnlyHope Why would you say that? Because the concept is shown with some interesting (though very unrealistic in terms of actually building it) theming? I'm huge on themed coasters, but I think they can do better with most any other coaster system. I've never heard of RES before but their concepts look like bad rip-offs of other companies more out-there designs. Wasn't Hersheypark going to build something exactly like the "Rollerball" at one point? It was a pretty stupid concept then too, and now we have a much better design in the S&S version. Pretty sure S&S also has something very similar to the suspended coaster concept. In this pitch it looks like they took those Gerstauler flat ride seats and just put them on a little powered coaster though. The flat ride version is probably a very similar experience for less space and money. And I still don't get Mauer's powered coaster car thing either. Maybe I'm just getting old. Just give me a classic wooden coaster and I'll be happy.

jray21
Here are the rest of the updates from the last day of IAAPA 2016! What are you most looking forward to that was announced? [twitter] [/twitter] [twitter] [/twitter] [twitter] [/twitter] Checking out Falcon's Creative Group who just opened Heroes & Legends at the Kennedy Space Center last week and we LOVED it! It's a great attraction! They had a cool model to go along with it. Over at Polin Waterparks, they were showing off VR water slide tech and interactive water based games. Very cool stuff! Their models are always fantastic. One of their interactive type games. The folks at Dynamic Attractions won "Best New Product Concept" at IAPPA 2016! It's easy to see why. It really is a cool idea. Congratulations! We love Alterface attactions! They make some of our favorites. We are looking forward to riding more of their work in the UAE next year! A fun model of their audience battle style attraction. A full media interactive dark ride based on chocolate!? Yes please! Looks like they have some great ideas. Three more WaveOz installations coming from Wave Loch at White Water West! Look forward to Flowriding next week on the Royal Caribbean Harmony! These are pretty amazing! I have taken many a spills on these. There something amazing about riding these while on a massive moving cruise ship. The video game section at IAAPA proves that what is old is new again. We need more of these around1 I love this game! Who you gonna call? The attention to detail on the Sally Corp Joker animatronic figure has always impressed me. These are getting a lot more fancy! Hey look! We found a picture of Jake on display at the GCI booth! Great coasters indeed. A nice train car for Busch Gardens. Now if it could only breath fire. The guys at Technifex are masters of visual effects. Their faux fire and water screens are just amazing! Fire! They really do amazing work! Jaws! Here's a closer look at the Ocean Explorer ride vehicle model going to Sea World San Diego from Chance Rides. Coming soon! Nice colors! It's pretty cool and unique vehicle! Frozen Coca Cola Icee's and Dippin' Dots! Always and IAAPA tradition. New for 2017, Brownie Batter! It wouldn't be an IAAPA show without these guys here. ...and that wraps up another IAAPA trade show for us. Until next year! XII
Awesome updates. I'm particularly intrigued by that Mack Spinning Pretzal Coaster and really hope one of those gets built soon, cause they look like a lot of fun. Though everything that was showcased at IAPPA this year looks like fun.
storms555
I think it would be so awesome to go here one day. I would be like a kid at a candy store! This place reminds me of a convention for theme park fans

simaticable
I think it would be so awesome to go here one day. I would be like a kid at a candy store! This place reminds me of a convention for theme park fans From what has been said in the past, it's not really a place for enthusiasts or the GP but a place where parks and companies can come in and exchange information and see what innovations are coming out in the industry and get an idea on what they want to buy for their parks. coasterfreak101
The more I see of Dynamic's rotating theater, the more intrigued I am. Does look like a cool concept. It reminds me of Carousel of Progress - you just rotate within the sets rather than around them. Add some giant movie screens and effects in there and I don't see how you could go wrong*. *Does not apply to Europe in the Air.
chickenbowl
Three more WaveOz installations coming from Wave Loch at White Water West! Look forward to Flowriding next week on the Royal Caribbean Harmony! Just a heads up, our company is simply called FlowRider and we're owned by WhiteWater West. Wave Loch (Tome Lochtefeld) sold the FlowRider IP to WhiteWater West a few years ago. Wave Loch still exists, but they're essentially separate from us. I'm glad you liked the model, it was fun putting it together!
MrSum1_55
I know IAAPA is mostly a business trade show, and tickets are very expensive, I do still want to go once in my lifetime. Besides, it is not like there is nothing else to do in Orlando. Maybe once I finish engineering school and no longer have to tailor my vacations to the school year. Or, you know, maybe I will be one of the people behind the counter. I can dream, right?

CoasterFEV
The more I see of Dynamic's rotating theater, the more intrigued I am. Does look like a cool concept. I'm not surprised it won best new concept. The model is based on using the exact same Dynamic Attractions system installed at the "Hulk Epsilon Base" attraction at IMG Worlds of Adventure here in the UAE. First time I experienced it I was completely blown away by the crazy unique and VERY cool ride system we were on!
