Duff Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Flight Deck. A flight deck is the large flat surface of an aircraft carrier where jets take-off and land. Dumb. Runners-up: Pepsi Max Big One. It's trying too hard. "Max" and "Big" in the same name is overkill. Scream! It's like the Six Flags execs were completely out of unique name ideas when they settled on that. Insane Speed. It hits 53 mph. Last time I checked, that's not insane--it's actually fairly average.
Jcoaster Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 "Batman" anything. Enough with Batman please for the love of God Six Flags. -Batman: The Ride (9x) NINE F***ing times!!! -Batman: The Dark Knight -Batman and Robin the Chiller -Batman: The Escape -Batman: Knight Flight -BatWing (They got real real creative here) -Batman: Goes to School -Batman: Takes a Dump -Batman: Goes Food Shopping I would much rather them start naming coasters after Bruce Wayne.

singforfood Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I always thought Pepsi Max Big One was the most God awful name for a ride. Not only is it awkward and unyielding to pronounce, but... the product placement. Fury 325 is my new 2nd place winner (loser?). I pretty sure I'm the only one who doesn't hate Scream as a ride title. As generic as it sounds, it's the only ride on RCDB with that name (others include the word but in different versions... CA Screamin, Screamer, Scream Machine, etc).
StuckInSD Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 ^^ Don't forget Screamin' Demon and Screamin' Eagle. Runaway Mountain: So... does the mountain have legs or something? iSpeed: iThink this iName thing is iRate. Hades 360: The ride did more of a 180 in the opposite direction than a 360. Laff Track: Straight out of a dictionary for all things Willy Wonka. Oh wait, that came from Hershey. Tickler: The extremely creepy face plastered all over the ride doesn't help.

The Tickler is a god awful name. Me an my friend joke that we're waiting for "The Molester" to come out.
ian1808 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I still think it's gotta be Corkscrew. The Cedar Point and Valleyfair one. It's like naming a ride Loop or Drop.

The Tickler is a god awful name. Me an my friend joke that we're waiting for "The Molester" to come out. Even worse still, pretty sure there was an incident involving a molester on a similar coaster (forget where) . As for horrible ride names, I'd have to say anything named "coaster"... Really?. Think of a better name!
Generic Name Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Dizzy Love and Whirling Passion would be a GREAT name for a spinning coaster. Instead it's given to a knock-off SLC.
Nrthwnd Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I still think it's gotta be Corkscrew. The Cedar Point and Valleyfair one. It's like naming a ride Loop or Drop. I would add, any of them in the world can count. Sad, really. The 'corkscrew' drawing, both sides of the name is actually a nice, different touch. But wait - wasn't it in some...movie???

Batman & Robin the Chiller actually made sense. It was two coasters, and it was to go with the Batman & Robin movie that came out in 1997.
VF15 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I don't think that Fury 325 is truly a bad name, but it certainly isn't very creative. It sounds like something you'd name a coaster in RCT3. Also, I'm not a big fan of ride names that are really over used (Batman, Goliath, Corkscrew, Boomerang, etc.)
ScreaminNewEngland Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 DRAGON CHALLENGE. It will forver be Dueling Dragons.
Generic Name Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Rides that have names that rhyme can get silly. Ragin' Cajun, Steamin' Demon, and Fujin Raijin come to mind. Steamin' Demon sounds like a bad night after Taco Bell too.
singforfood Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 DRAGON CHALLENGE. It will forver be Dueling Dragons. Hear, hear!
Sharman19 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Suspended Looping Coaster over Water. I don't see any water.
GCI Wooden Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Fairly Odd Coaster @ Nickelodeon Universe. It used to be called Timberline Twister, and that was an actually good name!
MagnumFreak25 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 "Golden Dragon Pulley"- What!?!?! Just WHAT!?!?!?
EricGarbo Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Twisted Colossus Wicked Cyclone Honestly, I'm just going to continue calling them Colossus and Cyclone.
thrillseeker4552 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 ^I agree. The rides look AWESOME. The names...not so much. "Dizzy Love and Whirling Passion" -- Discoveryland, China "Heaven on Earth" -- Xixiakou China, China "Wang Zhong Wang" -- Tianjin Shuishang Park, China Yes, these are all knock-off SLCs!
gerstlaueringvar Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I don't understand why those terrible Chinese parks even give their rides English names. If they can't think of something nice, don't give English names to make the parks even cheaper.
singforfood Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Twisted ColossusWicked Cyclone Honestly, I'm just going to continue calling them Colossus and Cyclone. Seriously. Those are awful names, especially TC
RMC_Hoodie Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Twisted ColossusWicked Cyclone Honestly, I'm just going to continue calling them Colossus and Cyclone. Seriously. Those are awful names, especially TC They should have called it "The New Colossus" instead.
