Pyrozooka0
I like Flight Deck. *facepalm* Seriously, you like the name "Flight Deck", well I think that name is just plan dumb. Why can't Cedar Fair rename all the former Top Gun coasters "Afterburn"? What he said. More bad names: New Texas Giant (we get that it's new, change the name back already) Mind Bender is a good name, but shouldn't have the space. Medusa Steel Coaster: most of the last few coaster renovations in the Six Flags chain (Mr Freeze Reverse Blast, Iron Rattler, X2, Bizzaro) where pretty good. this is just stupid. The Ultimate: Should just be Ultimate. Georgia Scorcher: Georgia Cyclone is a copy, this one has no excuse. Why not just "Scorcher"?) Backlot Stunt Coaster: cant think of any better ideas. I actually think Top Thrill Dragster is an OK name.
CoasterEv
"Regina" at Tobu Zoo.... I just don't follow. LOL. I also thought Kingda Ka was pretty lame considering... could have had a way more badass name.
Schrecken
SF has gotten to be really annoying with their over-use of certain names, especially Goliath. And also that the name Goliath IMO doesn't lend itself well (at least based on all the previous Goliaths) to a wood coaster, even one with steel track. Same thing with Medusa, not as over-used as Goliath but sounds weird for a woody. Also agree about Flight Deck and Backlot Stunt Coaster. Seems that a little more creativity could have been used in those situations.

Six Flag had used the name "Goliath" enough and it's kind of an inappropriate name for a Vekoma GIB and a B&M Batman invert clone! As for Cedar Fair names that they have used since they bought out Paramount Park like "Flight Deck" and "Backlot Stunt Coaster", they could have renamed all of the former Top Gun coaster "Afterburn" and come up with a more creative name for the former Italian Job Stunt Track coasters. As for the name "Medusa" I don't mind it all, but at least Six Flags doesn't overuse it like a certain name!
TunaSled
•Intimidator 305 because it's themed as a NASCAR driver and NASCAR racing does nothing but pollute the environment While I agree that it's a bad coaster theme, I'm just going to be ducking in the corner over there for a minute

daniellazarus
"Wood Coaster" at Knight Valley in China is an awesome ride but the name sure could have been more original.
Moose
^Does anyone know if it has a different name in Chinese? Also if they call it wood coaster, that would be exotic for the Chinese so I don't have to much of a problem with it. It's also a kick ass ride. Sky Rocket is pretty bad. PalmTree55
Rollercoaster is the worst name. Really? You couldn't come up with an actual name for the coaster?
DarienLaker
Rollercoaster is the worst name. Really? You couldn't come up with an actual name for the coaster? The name "Roller Coaster" is just way too generic, pretty much just as bad as "Flight Deck" and some other generic names like "Boomerang", "Kiddie Coaster", "Mad/Crazy/Wild Mouse","Corkscrew", and my "personal favorite" bad name for a ride "Big Spin". prozach626
^ Speaking of generic, how about Goliath? It almost taints the new RMC project... but not enough to remove the awesomeness. At least they didn't name it Bizzaro. •Intimidator 305 because it's themed as a NASCAR driver and NASCAR racing does nothing but pollute the environment I don't disagree that NASCAR is ridiculous, but what do you call tearing down countless trees for theme parks and roller coasters? Entire habitats have been wiped out for our entertainment. I like the name 'Intimidator', without the NASCAR theme.

I'd say the one at Carowinds gets a free pass because the Charlotte area is home to the majority of NASCAR teams and a lot of other NASCAR related stuff, and the one at Kings Dominion gets a pass because it is still a cool name. Jackdude101
Nothing says "we don't care" quite like a roller coaster that's simply named "roller coaster."

Geauga Dog
Be careful what you wish for. Cedar Fair isn't exactly brilliant when it comes to renaming rides though I think "Speed Demon" would be a passable name for 305.

I don't mind the names "Intimidator", "American Thunder", or even "Goliath" those are pretty much good names to some degree. But somehow I think that "Evel Kinevel" was a bad name for a wooden coaster. So I'm glad Six Flags St. Louis lost the rights to use Evel Kinevel's name for wooden coaster. jray21
Yeah, I-305 is pretty bad. Sounds much more like a highway than anything else. Edited October 13, 2013 by jray21
2012jarrett
The worst Cedar Fair name I would have to say is a three way tie between Spinning Dragons, Flight Deck, and Top Thrill Dragster. All three are awful. Thunderation's pretty bad too. So is Matterhorn Bobsleds.
cfc
^I'd go with the cleverly named "Drop Tower Scream Zone" at Kings Dominion. What's wrong with "Matterhorn Bobsleds"?

cfc
^That was the title of a Wesley Snipes movie, and Cedar Fair had to change it when they bought out the Paramount parks. It is a "generic" term, though.
