dandaman Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Forty-six inversions and a ring of fire was added. Don't forget the tunnel filled with leprechauns, rainbows, and the floating head of Zsa Zsa Gabor. No, no, the Draco animatronic from the Wisconsin State Fair has been relocated, which is responsible for the ring of fire Robb mentioned.
Josh Linn Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 People that don't lisen to Elissa or I are stupid. That's a ridiculous generalization.

Oh well, looks like we have another Demon Drop on our hands.
jedimaster1227 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) ^^That's because it is generally true. Edited February 25, 2011 by jedimaster1227
braztaz Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Whenever Robb makes a joke, everybody else has to add their spin on it and make it unfunny. Sorry, I had to let that out. But back on topic, I can't wait to get down to KD, process my platinum pass, and see how nice this new i305 turns out! It'll feel great to speed through the course 94mph again!
coasternut Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Hmm...now what was that I was going to say? Oh, right...now I remember... I TOLD YOU SO!!! People that don't lisen to Elissa or I are stupid. Okay Robb, I guess I'll call you the "Coaster Grand Poo-Bah!" I guess now I'll need to stop calling it In-Trim-adator. We'll see what it's like this year !!! Besides you can't spell listen.

I'll tell you one thing. Cedar Point won't let another coaster in the chain (Cedar Fair) go faster then Millennium Force. I'm predicting 92 MPH. That will work...
SharkTums Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 This thread is just as much of a disaster as when the trims were put on!
Ace Of Spades Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Whenever Robb makes a joke, everybody else has to add their spin on it and make it unfunny. Sorry, I had to let that out. Oh, are we not allowed to do that? I must have missed a new rules seminar or something. In any event, I actually think that I305's new turn looks pretty neat, definitely a nice compromise for the sake of ride-ability and intensity. Good move on KD and Intamin's part (although I don't really understand why the trim brakes were such a bad option).
coasternut Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Of the woodies at KD, only Rebel Yell is worth riding, right? I mean for people who aren't too fond of headaches and/or vomiting? My recollection is that Hurler and Grizzly are both extremely rough, right? I love Rebel Yell, and can ride it all day and have I get there in the late summer to ride and find it great. One disclaimer, I ride it in the front seat only. From personal experience Hurler is brutal (I can endure only 1 ride) , and Grizzly isn't too bad although this past summer I rode it at night and read a post here on TPR about hitting your fingers on one of the over passes. It was dark and guess what - OUCH! For me Rebel Yell gets my vote.
Ejectorbater Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Whenever Robb makes a joke, everybody else has to add their spin on it and make it unfunny. Sorry, I had to let that out. I agree. The brown-nosers always ruin a good thing. Such as the people that sign off like Robb. Trent...tired of people copying Robb like it will help them become better friends with Elissa and he...Green
coasternut Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 ^No, Cedar Fair decided against that I believe, they are both forwards now. It is still an awesome ride, and Grizzly really can't be beat for the night rides which are totally insane! I remember being at a Coastermania event and Monty Jasper - (I'm not sure of his exact title) Director of Maintenance for all Cedar Fair parks made a statement that Rebel Yell will never run backwards again. For me I could care less. I don't do coasters backwards unless you're talking the New Superman at Magic Mountain.
robbalvey Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 People that don't lisen to Elissa or I are stupid. That's a ridiculous generalization. I know! Isn't it? Sad part is that it's 100% true!
A.J. Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Personally, I couldn't care less about what changes were/needed to be made to Intimidator305. It's still a kick-[censored] ride, right?

robbalvey Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 ^ Joey! Welcome to the Kings Dominion Discussion thread. Where you can go hundreds of pages without a single post that makes any sense to anyone. And the scary part is, this is still one of the more "intelligent" KD Discussion threads on the internet!
robbalvey Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 ^ And so is i305! Seriously, I freakin loved it with or without the trims.
dammie16@vt.edu Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 ^THE TRIMS ARE GONE!??! I mustve missed that in all that crap posted the past few pages... Just kidding, anyway I find it amazing that people with experience tend to be right more than internet experts, AMAZING!
dragonskeep Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I hope this works out for the park. It seems they really want to create a dominating ride. Trims or no trims I am going to ride it this summer.
Ace Of Spades Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Is anyone else utterly confused like I am? I'm getting a migraine reading this thread now. The sad thing is, I'm confused myself...and I'm apparently the cause of it.
robbalvey Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 ^ Don't feel bad. There are many people equally as guilty and more of them equally as confused!
redfoot12 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Yes! Long live the trims! err... I mean... Good riddance! I wasn't a fan of the trims but the ride was still awesome with them on. Can't wait to ride it the way I (sort of) remember it from last April and May!
chadster Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 So basically all I've missed that past however many pages is that I-305 is put back together and the trims are gone. Sweet. Hopefully 2012 will allow me to return and marathon it, too many parks on the agenda for me this year. Oh, and I'm totally counting Intrimlessdator as a Jeff Johnson credit. Afterall, it has *some* new track.
