robbalvey
^ Okay, now you're just showing off Shari "really green with envy here" Shoufler Don't be too jealous. I mean, 99% of those people I met through work, not "fun." And most of the time, if you're working with "talent", it's pretty much "work." Most of the celebs are pretty much the same - for the most part "ok" but always seem to have something annoying or quirky about them. I think I've just gotten used to it over the years. I wish I could talk more about some of the experiences I've had, but I can't due to NDA's. --Robb "Wes, you and I will have to trade 'stories' at some point!" I dunno about you Robb, but there are a couple that stand out that were just jerk-offs. (cough)David (hachoo!) Meteornotes
I used to work in TV, so I've met tons. Milli Vanilli, Cheech Marin, Tim Conway, Chuck Norris and tons of soap opera actors (i swear they get all these people from some factory, as they all look alike!) among many, many others. I've met tons of musicians at various music festivals over the years. And a lot of authors at various events (Stephen King, Peter Straub, Clive Barker, David Morell, Brian Keene and many others). Like Robb and others NDAs and common sense keep me from telling stories, but I have to say most people are cool. The ones that are usually a pain in the ass are ones that think they're more famous and/or powerful than they really are (and none are named above, so don't get any ideas). dt

J man
I got to see Tyrese Gibson today while I was at our local news station. My sister got us in the studio because her dance group was performing for a TV show. Before they got to dance Tyrese and some other guy got interviewed by the host lady. I feel kinda dumb that I didn't recognize him right off the bat. It wasn't until the interviewer lady named off some movies that he had been in that the light clicked on in my head. It was cool. 4718
I've mainly seen smaller stars at work, but they've all been really cool. The two coolest had to be the guys that play "Greg" and "Warrick" from CSI. I met "Greg" at Thrill Shot when the show was only 6 mos. old and his real name is Eric and didn't mind the bit of a wait because a kid didn't want to ride, "Warrick" was at Brookstone by the mall out here (real name is Gary) and was super nice.........and thought it was cool that I worked at Six Flags. Hallie Berry and Eric Benet (when they were still married) went on Go Karts together, he was nice and asked me how it was going while they were stopped to fix a spinout, and remembered me when he came back (alone) a month later.......she tried to use her fame to get on Go Karts for free. Jimmy Fallon loved Thrill Shot, but chickened out of Dive Devil for some reason. Sean Whalen from Twister was very nice, and I didn't even notice him until he was getting off the ride.......we made a new hire ask him what his name was though. William Fitchner was a great guy to be with, and only after he left did I realize why he looked a bit familiar........d'oh! Jim Carrey always rents the park for a night in the Fall for his birthday, all sorts of celebs show up for it.......I've yet to work one of those though. Chrissie
Wow, U guys r lucky! I think the most famous person I have met...well Kinda was Justin Timberlake. A few years back the MTV Europe Music Awards were in Edinburgh and me n my Friend decided to go star spotting as no1 famous is ever in Edinburgh. It was common knowledge that Justin Timberlake was staying at the Scotsman Hotel in town which is situated at the top of a bridge. As usual, there was a group of girls standing right outside the hotel entrance. We hung around there for a bit and for some reason I decided to look over the bridge, where I saw 2 black cars with blacked out windows. These things can sometimes be decoys, but we decided 2 go down there never the less. As we got there, Justin came out the Gym and we went nuts, My friend grabbed his arm n was like JUSTIN WEEEEEE LOOOOOVE YOOOOOOOU and he was like Hey! How Y'all doin? Apologised for having 2 go n then jumped in the car.
