Jds03 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Wow I just realized theres 96 pages in this thread and weve accomplished nearly nothing in figuring out where the track is actually gonna go Sure we have! We figured out that it’s going to “X-works” theme park, and it’s a sitting coaster because the bar code says “SC”, and it’s not an inverted or flying coaster because the ties aren’t bent! We’ve accomplished plenty, and I’ll use this video to prove it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKnZiPVRr_0
macca_boy69 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Im so glad Salvador Dali was in this thread, He is amazing. "Was" amazing. He's dead. Died in 1989! Oh i know that. He Lives on. His Art is way to superb.

matteocrepaldi Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Great! It's almost 100 pages of pure randomness!!!
dougr Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I say floorless like Medusa. Now for the Giant Octopus: [/img] Boxy Medusa goodness!
coastered Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Could SC mean sitting coaster? Yes, Thats possible, but it can also mean Stand-up coaster
ghost007jas Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Or sexy coaster. Or maybe Sean Connery, which means the ride is in fact themed to James Bond. Jake "Just watched Goldfinger" Sundstrom
macca_boy69 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 If only the yellow track was MC coz then it could mean. Macaroni and Cheese: The Ride, at a park sponsered by Kraft. I can see it now. Robby
KDCOASTERFAN Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Could SC mean sitting coaster? No,it means "suspended coaster" as in an inverted design.
MillenniumChild Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 If thats the case then the yellow is not for Carowinds, KD or CP. They all have inverts already. CP has 2.
4rturo Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 ^^ How many times have we stated that it's NOT an invert!!!???
Reality15 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 The code for an inverted coaster is IC. Look at the tags that were on Patriot at Worlds of Fun. DM is for a dive machine and MC is for a mega/hyper coaster. SC could be either sitting coaster or stand-up coaster (the latter of which is less likely as one hasn't been build since Georgia Scorcher somewhere around 10 years ago), and FC could be either flying coaster or floorless coaster. I couldn't find tags for any of the more recent of those designs, maybe someone else can.
Electerik Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 SC could be either sitting coaster or stand-up coaster (the latter of which is less likely as one hasn't been build since Georgia Scorcher somewhere around 10 years ago), and FC could be either flying coaster or floorless coaster. My personal theory is that whichever type of coaster was built first by the company got the "obvious" designation. Thus, "SC" would be a Standing Coaster and "FC" would be Floorless. Didn't we already semi-establish that Flying Coasters were "LC" (for" Laying Coaster") or was I just imagining that? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0HSD_i2DvA
traincrossin Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 ^I Daft Punk! Anyways, Screamscape has reported that King's Dominion has sent in permits for a new coaster. I'm guesing that one of the two is going there. http://screamscape.com/html/kings_dominion.htm https://www.hanovercountyvirginia.org/Click2GovPZ/HTLTR/PZLTR/PROD/PZ2009/P0041850.DOC
Mechanic Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 MC? Hmm... MC Hammer? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1T46ZVXGc8
netdvn Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 LC = Laying coaster FC = Floorless coaster IC = Inverted coaster SC = Sitting coaster/stand up coaster/ SPACE DIVER MC = Mega Coaster DM = Dive Machine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNMBQssRTzU EDIT: Added a YouTube video. More people need to add Youtue videos to their posts.
Jds03 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Can we just establish that the yellow is a sitting coaster and the red is a mega coaster? It makes no sense to keep speculating about B&M making another stand-up, because even if for some totally random reason a park decided they wanted one, it would mean that B&M would have to remake the stand up trains to meet their more recent standards, which would cost allot more to develop than just getting a sitting or floorless coaster. The speculation is getting us nowhere, which is why I present you with this:
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 B&M would have to remake the stand up trains to meet their more recent standards That's a pretty bold assumption considering the same would have to be done for a sitting coaster (Led Zeppelin excluded), and for the record, SC could just as much be a foorless coaster, seeing as the train's design (therfore track design) still resembles that of both Stand ups and Sit downs (No-bathroom joke intended). So unless it's been confirmed through factual evidence SC couldn't be the label for all three ride types, there's no telling what it is, but if the trend continues, it's most likely a floorless. Could be "Anything"
netdvn Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 ^ FC = Floorless Coaster KD, Carowinds, and CP all have land clearing going on right now. Both KD and Carowinds just recieved coasters, but Carolina Cobra is just a small addition compared to a B&M. All three parks already have stand-ups so that rules out a stand up coaster if it were to go to either one. That leaves a sitdown coaster. All three parks have sitdown Arrow loopers, but that may not rule out a B&M Sitdown yet. None of the three parks have a SPACE DIVER though. So if the yellow track were to go to the CF parks that already have land clearing and construction, it would have to be a sitdown model. EDIT: DUCKTALES! Woo-oooh!
OldJJman Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Whew... I thought SC was that damn college I hate here in SoCal!!
PhantomNick Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 FC = Floorless coaster Wait, wait, wait!! So let me get this straight - you're telling me that FC stands for a Floorless Coaster?!?! Now I'm all kinds of confused. I was pretty positive that FC stood for Fraggle Coaster! Are you sure that's not right?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6hRyf_p4YI&feature=related
