Sean Menefee Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Was that a Boy and His Blob reference? Aquatrax looks very cool. Thanks for the video and photos guys. -Sean
window Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Another awesome update! What sort of fish were they? They looked vile!
HerBlackWings Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Wow. This update is chock-full of priceless material. The pics/captions are hilarious as usual, and the video of the Aquatrax dousing did NOT disappoint (good call, Rich)! Robb, thanks for posting these!! Keep 'em coming!
BC Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Thanks for the brilliant updates... Looking so much forward to the Everland update that I'm nearly... EXPLODING!!!
sfne2005 Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I think Atlantis Adventure was the most fun I ever had on a coaster. Maybe because that I was so sleep deprived.....nah, it was the guilty pleasure of soaking the old man. Damn, I miss that ride.
rllrcster Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Bob and Joey! Have Steve and I taught you nothing?! You were BOTH supposed to drink 11 beers, not share them. Jeeze... Looks like a grand time, sorry I missed it, but I had a beer drinking adventure in Hong Kong myself. So there! The suddenly fat face of Rich comment made me spit out my cereal. Good one Robb. And great to see panther Dave! Yay! Glad you all had a blast.
gisco Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Sorry Miles, we didn't have you and Steve to show us the way. Some of the captions were awesome Robb. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes.
cfc Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 ^How many trips to the men's room does all that beer represent, Bob? Lotte World looks awesome. Guess I gotta put Korea on my list of places to visit.
robbalvey Posted September 25, 2008 Author Posted September 25, 2008 Was that a Boy and His Blob reference? It sure was! I'm shocked anyone picked up on that! --Robb
aflack Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Great updates as usual. i was wondering what carrier you used to fly between Japan and South Korea as I'm looking to do the same kind of trip next year? Thanks
aflack Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Thanks Any particular way to get a cheaper deal because I didn't think they were that cheap considering the length of the flight?
SigENeaT Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Bob and Joey! Have Steve and I taught you nothing?! You were BOTH supposed to drink 11 beers, not share them. Jeeze... Second'd.
monkeyoverlord71 Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 yet another fantastic update the Aquatrax looks like a lot of fun i would love to do a trip like this the theming of the indoor section is AMAZING but is it purposely dark in there or was it just dark outside when you took them? can't wait for more updates!
Nrthwnd Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 So many other cool TPR Tours to catch up on, and doing... Lotte World looks fantastic. It does. The interior night shots look wonderful. Definitely a future tour for me to go on, when you repeat it, hint hint. More more more, Robb!
odene497 Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Was that a Boy and His Blob reference? It sure was! I'm shocked anyone picked up on that! --Robb I'm so glad you made that reference! I remember that game, and I've never been able to find out what it was... Looks like a cool park, thanks for the update.
JimmyBo Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 11 beers! That's cutting it close to my record! But I finished all of my 24 in an entire day...while on the clock at work I might add. Damn, I sure wish I could have been there for the beers. Screw the park and Atlantis, it's all about the beer! Jimmy "Buy my DVD b*tches" Bo
thrillgeek Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 That aqua coaster looks amazingly fun! They need to make more for the USA. Great pics and I loved the video! Thanks Robb!!
RCFreak Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Terrorist cookie FTW! Atlantis Adventure looks like a really fun coaster, nothing too huge, but not too short either and it looks great for families (especially since you can't see a lot of the ride) and having just ridden El Toro, I can't wait to see what T-express has to offer.
TheArchfiend Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Yay! My favorite coaster that I've never rode got some front page publicity. How could it not though? That is one sexy coaster. I bet the hits to the site tripled once that link was put on the home page.
Rastuso Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Atlantis Adventure is no family ride. The hidden tophat is downright insane. Perhaps the best beginning of any coaster, and damn scary on every one of my rides. T-Express was good, but not fantastic, imho. The beginning was fabulous, but the last two thirds was nothing but borderline painful ejector air and slow turnarounds. -RO
BBSpeed26 Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Nice photos! Atlantis adventure looks excellent, can I have one for my home? Also, are you guys planning on making a stop at Gyeongju World/have you been there? Phaethon alone looks like it'd be worth the trip, and hey if you're already in Korea, might as well!
Rastuso Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 They went there last year, so I doubt it. It's quite a ways from Seoul. I really wanted to hit it, but couldn't justify going there for one good coaster. Everland and Lotte World are both world class parks, and definitely enough to justify a trip to Korea. -RO
dandaman Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 ^^Was Phaethon the almost-direct Raptor clone, or was that Orochi?
