Ok so this isn't a exactly a Shanghai Disneyland update, but could be useful to people from the North of the UK (me). Last week the Chinese President was visiting the UK and it was announced that from July 2016 you will be able fly direct from Manchester to Beijing for the first time. http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/manchester-airport-to-beijing-new-route-with-hainan-airlines/ Previously you could fly direct from Manchester to Hong Kong, but never into China. I am planning on visiting SDL and HKDL next year and would've had to fly in and out of Hong Kong. Now I can fly into one and out of the other. -
I'll assume you're serious, considering you're not from the US. Jimmy Fallon is a late-night talk show host that does nightly shows on the NBC television network, which is under the same corporate umbrella as Universal. Here ya go: http://bfy.tw/1DFL Thanks for the info guys. I'd never heard of Jimmy Fallon before yesterday as he definitely isn't a household name in the UK and Europe. With that in mind it will be interesting to see how Universal markets this attraction internationally? I can't remember the last time Universal opened a bad attraction, so no doubt this will be amazing!

Pretty terrifying image from this morning. Apparently it only smoked for 2 minutes before the fire was put out. A cause is not yet known. Image appears to show smoke from a fire at Enchanted Storybook Castle. -

The castle looks HUGE! Even with half of it covered in scaffolding there is so much to try and take in! -

I wonder if all of the vegetation / greenery is being grown and stored offsite somewhere, ready to be planted at the last minute? Maybe it would get in the way of heavy plant and machinery being used in the final stages of construction? Has a date been announced yet or is it still 'Spring'? An opening date at the end of May would give them another 7(ish) months. -

Now my Cantonese isn't what it used to be, but I'm pretty sure that this link shows a video of a man and a woman in the moat of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Hong Kong Disneyland! http://hkm.appledaily.com/detail.php?guid=54215900&category_guid=10829391&category=instant&issue=20150917 -

Correct... "The flying sensation in Peter Pan’s Flight will be enhanced by a newly developed inverted-coaster ride system' date=' debuting at a Disney park for this attraction. With new magic, the ride vehicles swoop closer to the action with varying speeds, enabling guests to become more immersed in the story as they fly in and out of each scene."[/quote'] WOAH!!!!! How on earth did I miss the Peter Pan coaster?! So am I right in thinking that 3 coasters have been announced for opening? TRON, Peter Pan and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train? Do you have any more info on the Explorer Canoes? Are they likely to be similar to the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes at Magic Kingdom that I would have been on in the late 80's / early 90's? -

Hats off to Disney! This looks unbelievable! I definitely need to crank my Hong Kong / Shanghai double-header planning up a notch! It's difficult to tell from those pictures if there is a lot of land for expansion and I find it weird that Disney Town eats into the park, rather than being in a separate location. It's almost like Shanghai Disneyland has 'lost a land' because of it. DL has Adventureland / New Orleans Square MK has Adventureland DLP has Frontierland TD has Adventureland HKD has The Lion King show / Grizzly Gulch SD has Disney Town which is outside the park? -

This is a pretty amazing / terrifying post about the rumoured politics and position of Shanghai Disneyland - http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/a-spirited-perfect-ten.894588/page-877#post-6723999 If it is to be believed it looks like the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is seizing control of the entire resort. Iger and Staggs blocked from attending the construction site, then being held at their hotel, no Disney characters allowed at the opening of the Shanghai Disney Store and the resort not being marketed to guests outside of China?! It will be interesting to see how this develops.... -

There is a longer video on the BBC Radio Stoke Facebook page - You can see 4 ambulances and what looks like a fire engine. The emergency services seem to have built a scaffolding tower to help people down.
