Chadley Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I also wish I could put Avalanche in here but...oh well. I'll have to go with LoCoSuMo too, followed by Cyclops, and Big Dipper @ Geauga Lake.
DCody Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I think Phoenix is the best woodie period, so that's a gimme. An absolutely euphoric experience every time!
VegasCoaster Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I'd have to say Blue Streak since I haven't been on many rides fitting the qualifications. Not to say Blue Streak isn't good because it does deliver some good airtime, but there are better rides out there.
RIP Psyclone Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Fairly Odd Coaster! Both/either of them. But seriously, both the San Diego and Santa Cruz Giant Dippers are pretty good.
Airtime&Gravity Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 If it has to be 75 feet, the Cyclops, but at 80 feet tall, Cyclone(Lakeside) offers slightly more airtime and a better ride.
Sunfire Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz is the BEST woodie I have ever been on. The back seat will give you airtime on ALL the hills. It's incredible!
Guest Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Cornball, Yankee Cannonball, Cyclops, Raven (RCDB is wrong - Raven is 60-65' with a drop that slopes down a hill to 80'), and Lost Coaster for me.
Groteslurf Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Grand National at BPB and Wild Mouse at the same park.
easytoremember Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Cyclops, and no question. Those drops are just so steep, that it provides the best airtime out of any coaster, even ones hundreds of feet bigger than it.
ginzo Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Cyclops, and no question. Those drops are just so steep, that it provides the best airtime out of any coaster, even ones hundreds of feet bigger than it. Cyclops has one really good drop. The rest of the coaster is total meh.
larrygator Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 (edited) I'll go with Coaster at Playland, but only because Phoenix is 78 feet tall. Edited November 29, 2010 by larrygator
coasterbear30 Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I can't believe no one has mentioned the Cannonball at Lake Winnie in GA. Maybe you haven't experienced it, but it kicks total ass. The airtime is great and the last jump into the station is amazing! It feels like the whole train comes off the track. Good times and great oldies!
easytoremember Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Cyclops, and no question. Those drops are just so steep, that it provides the best airtime out of any coaster, even ones hundreds of feet bigger than it. Cyclops has one really good drop. The rest of the coaster is total meh. There are three hills that provide good airtime, plus the last hill that provides the best airtime ever.
Homer Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Cornball. Quoted for the truth. Cornball was just an overall fun woodie with nice pops of air and a nice twister section.
timetrial3141592 Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Yankee Cannonball. (By the way, it was once 85 feet tall, but Canobie had CCI come in and lower it.)
Guest Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Quoted for the truth. Cornball was just an overall fun woodie with nice pops of air and a nice twister section. Nice pops? That damn thing stood me up in the front seat.....
gmoney422 Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I know it's too high by a mere 5ft, but can anyone say Kentucky Rumbler...! G$
Canobie Fan Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Yankee Cannonball. (By the way, it was once 85 feet tall, but Canobie had CCI come in and lower it.) Uhhh.... What?
sam06pr Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I like Yankee Cannon Ball, Starliner, Judge Roy Scream and Blue Streak. But my fav of the 4 is Starliner
Darien Laker Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I guess the only one i've been on that meets the criteria would be the Seabreeze Jack Rabbit. Good ride, but I haven't been on it in years.
All Clear Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Starliner at Lakemont was really great when I rode it in 2005. Then I went back in 2006 and it was a very different story--lots of jackhammering and shuffling. Cannon Ball at Lake Winnie was fantastic. Not a wild ride by any means, but highly enjoyable.
PAShawn Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 You are all way off what about the wacky worm I know everyone here has ridin at least once gone through the big apple
ParkTrips Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 As much as I LOVE Wacky Worms, they aren't wooden coasters
