The span between those two highest supports terrifies me just looking at a picture of it. I'm guessing those temporary supports near the bottom will be gone shortly?

And while this is getting built, we -poor Europeans- are still waiting for our first Giga to happen one day... I'm so envious of it. I think it's uneasy to imagine the scale of it all, just because of the XXL spine on the lift / drop but once on top, the view will just be extraordinary... once again: wow...

The two temporary supports should be removed some time this coming week. I believe the last piece was put in place between 4pm-5pm yesterday (and it gets dark here around 5pm now).

 

Hoping for another official construction tour within the next week or two so I'll be sure to post pictures as soon as that happens!

Beautiful! The large spine kinda hides how massive it is. Looking at where the spine thins out at the bottom puts it into perspective. Wow, this thing is gorgeous!

2012 should forever be called the year of the MASSIVE. I mean, look:

Skyrush:200 feet

Wild Eagle:210 feet

Shambhala:250+ feet

and last but not least: Leviathan:306 feet

 

I honestly don't know of a year with more new 200+foot tall coasters!

I dunno if I would count wild eagle, but...compared to all the other very smaller coasters being made next year I wouldn't go as far to call next year the year of the massive...
