Chittlins Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Latest weather, possible record highs tomorrow, Storms late Sat nite and Sunday morning.
SFOGdude25 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I can't get over how freaking fast this ride is. RMC must have put rockets on the back of the train, cause it HAULS! I can't wait to try this out myself.
robbalvey Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 For those of you wanting a little more Outlaw Run, check out this off-ride and reverse POV video! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]I'll have photos and a full media day report up soon!
JRHcoasterki Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 ^Robb, you are truly awesome. AMAZING videos! I can't wait to read the report!
zunkified Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Awesome video, Robb! Really shows how much this thing hauls through the course. What are your personal thoughts on the different elements of the ride? I know you think it kicks all kinds of @$$ (I'm really just asking for your personal review, haha.)
John_RN Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 That offride footage of the barrell roll is a thing of beauty. It is hauling ass!!
cfc Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 The reverse POV is excellent footage. You really get a feel for the terrain this ride is built on.
robbalvey Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) We also shot an absolutely STUNNING full 1080p front seat POV mounted right on the very front of the train. The POV I posted yesterday was the B-roll the park gave us, but man, the weather and lighting was PERFECT for this footage! I think we'll keep it exclusive for the next Blu-Ray! "Hey, TPR, let me introduce you to the steepest wooden roller coaster drop in the world!" Edited March 15, 2013 by robbalvey
cfc Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) ^That is an amazing picture. I love how the whole ride goes through the woods. Edited March 15, 2013 by cfc
robbalvey Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 Imagine what it will look like when those trees get their color back and the foliage grows in!
TBpony414 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Yowza, that train really flies over the track!! Very cool footage and photos, thanks Robb for posting them. Looks like a really fun ride!
thrillerman1 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Incredible photo, Robb! Thank you for sharing.
robbalvey Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 ^ There's a few spots open on the Texas/Mid-West Trip! (and really, only a few!)
Taylor Finn Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 This is incredible. Thank you for the awesome coverage of this monster. Amazing videos and photos; this ride will tear through those woods at night. Just incredible what they have built.
jray21 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Loving the reverse footage! It gives a unique perspective of the ride. Great job!
ScottyDoesKnow Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Video I put together with my footage from this week! Come Fly With Me! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wg_VN9nV3vE&feature=youtu.be
JJLehto Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Sadly I just don't have the time or $$ esp since I have CP and WCB planned. Unless I could do just SDC but still quite a bit of $ to put down and it'd be a waste of a tour spot. I'll just have to wait till 2014 or find some people willing to go to MO/run into a ton of cash
Zingoman Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 That off ride footage really shows how sick and fast this thing is! Sweet giblets I cannot WAIT to get there and ride!!
aLFREd_25 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I just turned on the tv, and saw Robb on some news footage here in Tulsa, kind of took me by surprise. Outlaw Run looked amazing. I love reading all the reviews, watching footage, and such. I was going to go to Branson this weekend, but I'll wait till the Spring Break crowds die down. I'm dying to ride this thing!
RoCo Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Just watched the off-ride and reverse POV footage; WOW. Great work, as always, and damn it to hell, I need to get back to SDC immediately. Can you make a MidWest trip an annual thing?
Rotura Violenta Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I'm curious as to what the sensation of that first inversion thing is like. It looks like it'd be part zero-g, part hang-time? There's some really fascinating stuff going on with this one, and it's nice to see wooden technology develop.
