On paper this ride did not look that impressive but as I am watching that being built this coaster is massive. That Immelmann loop is larger than 12 of the parks 18 rollercoaster! That is crazy. I am very excited!

New track piece in place!!

I venture to say today they will also add the next support, and track pieces to be able connect the current track to the next support... (obviously.) I don't forsee them randomly just leaving the track dangling there all night. Plus they have plenty of day left!

Also, looks like the MCBR track is on site!! Now that the lift and drop are both complete they sure seem to be moving along much quicker with construction!

Exactly. 16 degrees Fahrenheit is cold? What you really mean is 'free air conditioning' was provided.

I love how much steeper the exit of this immelman is than the other 2 US dive coasters.

Same here. Hopefully it will provide a better (not that the previous dive machines are bad) ride experience.

Great photos...thanks for braving the cold for us in order to get these shots as well as the video.

Valravn is going to make a pretty impressive statement on the Midway come May.

At least with Valravn people (enthusiasts) won't find any way to complain that the mid-course isn't anywhere near the middle of the ride. Since that's SUCH a big deal with another recent build at this park...

I think our next slow point will be the MCBR.

Agreed. But once the MCBR is done, I think the rest of the track work will progress rather quickly!!

I know in one of the earlier Valravn Update videos they mentioned only lifting through the first week or two in February. As long as they are still on or around schedule it should fly.

I couldn't help but think the same thing. Today was 17 degrees, and it felt like T-Shirt weather.

"Overall, things are starting to kick into high gear, and you’ll start to now see big things happen. Station platform footers are being finished, park utility lines are being connected and moved, and of course, the lift hill is now going vertical. Weather permitting, we’ll be lifting steel now through January/February, so keep an eye on the webcams and the construction gallery for videos and photos."

This was on the construction blog (that i'm surprised they haven't really used at all...). it doesnt really give a specific time as to when the steel work will be done but I'd be impressed if it was done in 3 weeks or so like CoasterLine mentioned. It would be crazy to see how quickly things are gonna start to move if "the first or second week of February" thing is true!

^ I am suddenly feeling the need to take our boat up to the great Lakes next off season shortly before it gets super cold and just randomly drive in front of the cameras and away every other day!
