coasterbill Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I do not see any value in the regular Fast Lane the way they have it laid out. This is true of every single Cedar Fair park that offers both options. It's by design.
Ape Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I get that. I am curious as to how many of the regular Fast Lane they sell.
coasterbill Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I am too, I don't really understand why anyone would ever buy one.
Philrad71 Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I'm almost surprised that they don't offer something like the Quick Queue where you can get one ride on all of the big name rides, or buy the unlimited QQ+.
AmyUD06 Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Forget that system. If I'm paying $100+ for a skip-the-line pass, I want to be able to use it on what I want, not one-ride-per.
boldikus Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Yeah but the Quick Queue is considerably cheaper than QQ Unlimited. For people/families on a budget, it would make sense to get the cheaper one-use Quick Queue to still manage to get on all/most of the popular rides.
prozach626 Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 The Fastlane information has been released. Steel Vengeance is obviously a Fastlane Plus ride. Gatekeeper will remain on Fastlane Plus only (which I find a little surprising) along with Steel Vengeance, Valravn, Dragster and Maverick. Now, jack those prices up so less people will buy FL plus!! I would be totally fine with paying $200/day for FL+ with our once every 5+ year visits to have near KI style FL+ waits.
DoinItForTheFame Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 ^Steel Vengence has been blessed. I guess it could have been worse...
anonymouscactus Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 I was going to make a lame joke about calling the ride steelhawk instead... but it turns out cedar fair has that one too... Surprised they haven't used Steel Eagle yet to be honest with you Anyway, now that FastLane+ is confirmed to be available for Steel Vengeance, I am very much looking forward to not waiting 4+ hours for this thing. I like that they are finally advertising the Platinum pass discount officially this year as well (buy FL in-park get upgrade to FL+ free)... that should pay for the Platinum passes pretty quickly for us as I'm sure we'll be getting it a few times this season... I mean... look at that thing...
JeromyL Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 From Cedar Point's Facebook: I know what that bird is thinking.... "is the train wheels going to hit those bolts?"
BigBad Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Aren't the bolts there to keep the wheels from sliding off the track?
CP Maverick Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Does it matter? People are going to go flying out around that second turn anyway. It's totally banked the wrong way.
CoasterInk Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 The bolts have nothing to do with keeping the train on the track... its there to keep a thin piece of metal from coming off on the top of the track
ytterbiumanalyst Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 The bolts are there to make it nice and rough so that people think it's a wooden coaster. People love that good old fashioned jostling. Speaking of which, anyone know when they're going to be installing the pothole? Really looking forward to that.
joelwee Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Why is there wood on the support structure? So much for it being STEEL Vengeance!
Rougarou Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 This off topic: What do you think CP will replace the Torn down Oceana statium with? If anything at all?

WolfBobs Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 This is off topic: What do you think CP will replace the torn down Oceana statium with? If anything at all? Not making a prediction here, but I would love to see a Planet Snoopy expansion with a new family coaster added, maybe a B&M family invert.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 This is off topic: What do you think CP will replace the torn down Oceana statium with? If anything at all? That's definitely going to be an Aquatrax that dives into Lake Erie.
DoinItForTheFame Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 This is off topic: What do you think CP will replace the torn down Oceana statium with? If anything at all? A custom boardwalk GCI woodie. #ThenAllTheCPFanBoysWillHaveTheirDreamComeTrue
AJK Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 How bout - instead of a boring little GCI - a massive prefab to block the wind? Probably not very feasible but I've been on the CP prefab train for a while now and it would be way too cool to see that. If not, a guess a GCI or preferably a gravity group could go there. What about a smaller Prefab like Balder? As long as it's a wooden coaster I'm happy. But then again, I'd be happy even if they got a family coaster.... just thinking out loud. Don't mind me.
