A.J. Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Wow, that looks positively...normal. Probably why I like it.
CedarFlags Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Wow, that looks positively...normal. Probably why I like it. I totally get you. It's so pretty to look at, being all symmetrical and not twisted. Just a legit airtime hill.
DoinItForTheFame Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 As much as I love the bright colors of the iBox track... I really love this "tradational" color scheme. It's just going to fit in so well at Dollywood. Can't wait to ride this coaster!!
Meteornotes Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 This ride just looks nuts. Can't wait to check it out. Hope I can make it down there next year. dt
dmaxsba2408 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Sorry, don't know why this double posted.
Dollywoodlover20 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I was thinking, IAAPA is in like a week and a half (16th-20th). Lightning Rod's train (car...literally) will more than likely be revealed there being it is a newly designed train. I have a feeling that during that week or at the event is when we will see a POV/more art work. Side note: is it just me that thinks this or, do you guys think it would be a cool experience to have an on board sound system on these trains? Like as you launch, have squealing of tires then switch over into a fast paced 50's song with the revving of an engine over the airtime hills. I know this train will have headrests so it wouldn't be impossible.
Password121 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 On a Facebook comment RMC said they would not be displaying any trains at IAAPA. I don't have the link/quote on hand, but unless things changed, that is what was said by the operator of RMC's Facebook.
Nwstone Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 That sucks, I really wanted to see what storm chasers trains looked like.

I know this train will have headrests so it wouldn't be impossible. It would make the trains unnecessarily heavy. You can achieve the same effect with speakers mounted on either side of the lift / launch up to the top.
deguy123 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 This new coaster just looks AMAZING and I can't wait to go back in July!
CedarFlags Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I wanna go so badly, but getting there is SO FRIGGIN EXPENSIVE.
chickenbowl Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 RMC posted another picture from Dollywood on Facebook!
samhimburg Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I think I'd pretty much be satisfied if the ride ended right after that drop. Holy hell that's pretty.
Password121 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I didn't want to say anything after the first set of pictures a few pages ago because the drop looked very, very short from that perspective. Obviously that was just an illusion due to the frame... This is ridiculous. Holy crap.
Suspence1127 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Has Dollywood confirmed how long the drop is? That looks like it's around 200ft!
boldikus Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 RMC posted another picture from Dollywood on Facebook!
johnnyknottsville Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 RMC posted another picture from Dollywood on Facebook! LMAO absolutely perfect after see that Drop!!!
Dollywoodlover20 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 That drop, I can feel the tears in my eyes from the wind and I'm loving every second! Bring on the non stop airtime! Plus I can't get over how much this is going to weave through the trees!
Vonni Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I didn't want to say anything after the first set of pictures a few pages ago because the drop looked very, very short from that perspective. Obviously that was just an illusion due to the frame... This is ridiculous. Holy crap. That is exactly how I felt. Seeing the latest pic of the drop really put it into perspective for me. Its so beautiful! OMG I hope I can come to DW soon!
