805Andrew
This looks good. Hopefully they have it open for the New Hotness Trip in 2012.
odene497
Glad to see they're still chugging along. Looking back at that video it looks honestly terrifying and ridiculously out of control. I'll definitely be making a trip down when this gets opened up.

cal1br3tto
This looks good. Hopefully they have it open for the New Hotness Trip in 2012. Quoted for agreement. But if they don't, I'll still be happy to return to Knoebels.

DerekRx
There were a few employees there, some walking into the building and such, but I couldn't get close enough to see if the station had a floor or anything yet and didn't see any cars cycling. How does this compare to when TPR was there a few weeks ago?
beatle11
^It looks the same from the outside. From our backstage tour, you could see it was mostly finished. It should be closer than Flying Turns.
larrygator
From the Knoebels website:  Flying Turns Update  We've been testing the newest version of the Flying Turns ride vehicles and are VERY encouraged. There's still plenty of work to do but this is a very positive step in the right direction. Edited September 4, 2011 by larrygator
beatle11
^ If that actually opens next year, I'm making another trip down.
Shavethewhales
Unless I'm mistaken, that notice has been on their site since before they even put out that POV a few months ago. I expect they're going to get Black Diamond open first, hopefully in time for the October Events. It doesn't seem like there's enough time to get it working for this year, but if they're this confident now, then with a full off-season of work there's no reason why it won't be open for next summer. chadster
Seeing those pictures of the chasis testing makes me want to strap a lawn chair to it and go for a spin!
strwrse1
Robb, Â I was at Knoebels on Saturday, September 3 & ran into Dick Knoebel. He said that they were hoping to have Black Diamond open by this coming weekend, not sure if it would though. Definately by Phunfest at the very latest. A.J.
That would be [censored]ing amazing. The student group I'm in is most likely going down there Sunday!
Joe Cool
Here is a link to Knoebels Facebook of pictures from flooding that is going on right now at the park. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150777689875551.727890.207828210550&type=

Hilltopper39
I read somewhere that they usually add a splash down section after the final bunny hop on the Phoenix every fall....
dragonskeep
^^ Wow. That sucks. So this is not that unusual for them? I would love to kayak that.
XYZ
They should make that area the new rapids.

The SETGO Guys
^Crazy! Check it out!  Another delay for flying turns I assume.  -I do hope that the damage wasn't that bad
coasterbill
I highly doubt it... it's almost an annual occurrence for them like Elissa said and they generally clean it up very quickly.
A.J.
They usually clean it up very quickly. There was high water a few weeks ago and they were able to get it cleaned up and still open the next day. This one may take a little longer because it's still raining as this is posted. Chrisrad
I know they'll be up and running in no time, but it's still sad to see that picture - that's now one of my favorite parks. Â That's the kind of flooding that you wish would happen at a park that you hate. Â But yeah, thumbs up to them for dealing with that so often! Â Mmmm, I'll have sweet dreams of SFMM being under water tonight! Â That's kind of what I was hinting at, but a lot of the teenagers that fill that place who don't know how to swim should be there as well.. I like the park (the rides mainly), but can't stand how it's a babysitting service for the locals.
