Airtime&Gravity Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 My favorite would have to be Hershey Park with Skyrush and Storm Runner.
JordyC Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Update: 1. Walibi Holland (18) = Untamed (5) + Goliath (13) 2. Phantasialand (32) = Taron (6) + Black Mamba (26) 3. Europa-Park (34) = Wodan (12) + Blue Fire (22) 4a. Liseberg (35) = Helix (7) + Valkyria (28) 4b. Toverland (35) = Troy (16) + Fēnix (19) 6. Heide Park (47) = Colossos (9) + Flug der Dämonen (38) 10. Alton Towers (48) = Smiler (18) + Wicker Man (30)
bert425 Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 How about Iron Rattler and Wonder Woman at SF Fiesta Texas? Hard to beat TWO RMC's! With Superman: Krypton Koaster - a fantastic floorless B&M in between them in the park. 1,2,3 punch.
Chasehat Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Cedar Point: Steel Vengeance (3) + Maverick (5) = 8 SFNE: Superman (2) + Wicked Cyclone (7) = 9 Great Adventure: El Toro (1) + Nitro (11) = 12
prozach626 Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Cedar Point: Millennium Force and Maverick. Yep. I said it.
hoppedup Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Cedar Point: Millennium Force and Maverick. Yep. I said it. I agree. Even though going by my top ten rankings like most in this thread, Carowinds would be tied with Cedar Point with 11 points. It's not a linear scale. Maverick (1) + Millennium Force (10) Fury 325 (2) + Afterburn (9)
Zand Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 (edited) Cedar Point: (1) Steel Vengeance + (6) Maverick = 7 Great Adventure: (5) El Toro + (8) Nitro = 13 Hersheypark: (2) Skyrush + (14) Storm Runner = 16 Kings Dominion: (4) Intimidator + (12) Twisted Timbers = 16 SFNE: (3) Superman + (15) Wicked Cyclone = 18 Cedar Point Deux: (7) Millennium Force + (11) Raptor = 18 Edited July 2, 2019 by Zand
RCjunkie Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Cedar Point: Millennium Force and Maverick. Yep. I said it. Cedar Point: Steel Vengeance and Maverick. Yep. I fixed it for you.
thrillseeker4552 Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 After riding Twisted Timbers for the first time last weekend, I can confirm that Kings Dominion BY FAR has the best one-two punch of any park I have visited. Intimidator 305 is still my favorite coaster in the park (and favorite coaster of all time), but Timbers is also an excellent ride and a top-tier RMC in my opinion.
Nrthwnd Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 I have to put this in, for the young coaster riders in the world.... Cedar Point: Woodstock Express & Wilderness Run! And one for the "young at heart".
Nrthwnd Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 (edited) Actually I have to double post this. Because there's honestly, a great one-two punch for kids at Playland(PNE), too! Playland(PNE): Kettle Creek Mine & Bug Whirled. A great family coaster for kids and their parents! Bit of airtime in it, too. The newest Playland coaster, for kids and parents. And it spins, too! Hermanus Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 This is a hard one: 1. Walibi World - Untamed (1) + Goliath (6) = 7 2. Liseberg - Helix (3) + Lisebergbanan (15) = 18 3. Europa Park - Silver Star (10) + Blue Fire (11) = 21 4. Alton Towers - Nemesis (8) + Galactica (15) = 23
palmerleeberry Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 I'm going to say Holiday World with Wildebeest and Mammoth - two great water coasters that are placed side by side. I will also credit Hersheypark with having Breakers Water Coaster and Whitecap Racers side by side.
Intamin_coyote Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Mystic Timbers and KI's Giga I think will make for a pretty great one-two punch, once next year comes... EDIT: And also, Skyrush and Candymonium as well...
Too Fast For Comfort Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 I'm surprised I haven't seen more love for Maverick and Steel Vengeance. Maybe a bunch of the posters here are Europe oriented and can't get out there? Not only are they in the same park, but they're right next to each other as well. Just a match made in heaven.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 ^ Steel Vengeance is still pretty new. Except for those of us who live in the Midwest, even a lot of Americans won't have had a chance just yet. But I agree with you, those two next to each other makes that frontier area even better than it already was. Just needs a log flume, and it'd be perfect.
chickenbowl Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 2019 update: 1. Cedar Point: Steel Vengeance(1) + Maverick(5) = 6 2. Kings Dominion: Intimidator 305(4) + Twisted Timbers(9) = 13 3. Six Flags Fiesta Texas: Wonder Woman(17) + Iron Rattler(19) = 36 3. Liseberg: Helix(20) + Balder(32) = 52 5. Hersheypark: Skyrush(8) + Storm Runner(51) = 59 Some other combos I haven't ridden that I think are/will be worthy of mention: Jersey Devil + El Toro Zadra + Hyperion I'm also interested in what additional parks could be considered in the best "One-Two-Three Punch" - BGW? Kings Island?
XII Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Cedar Point: Steel Vengeance + Maverick. Do I need to say any more? Some runners up. Kings Dominion: Intimidator 305 + Twisted Timbers Mirabilandia: iSpeed + Katun Fuji-Q: Eejanaika + Dododonpa Six Flags Magic Mountain: X2 + Twisted Colossus Busch Gardens Tampa: Kumba + Montu Liseberg: Balder + Helix
