larrygator Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Obviously I have a poor short-term memory because I had completely forgotten about this announcement. Heck, I had even commented on it! I guess with the constant new announcements coming from this park it's easy to get confused if it's something new or something which has already been announced before. This whole situation is quite unusual in that TPR does not normally start/support a Park Discussion Thread for a park that none of our members have reported on.
RollerManic Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 How the hell can this park do all this? Incredible. I didn't realize the area around the park was so developed. The placement of Hyperion is perfect.
ThemeParkJunkie51290 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 ^ WOW! I'm sure that drop is going to be INSANE!!!
DBru Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 And is the camelback following it going to be the best airtime hill in existence? If I were a betting man...
steamedturtle Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 And is the camelback following it going to be the best airtime hill in existence? If I were a betting man... It's like a scaled up, steel El Toro. It definitely looks like it wants to kill you in the best possible way.
rcjp Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Interesting that they went with several smaller supports for the lift hill rather than one massive beam like skyrush or I305. Anyway, it's looking amazing! And I still can't believe all they're adding in such a short period of time
Rill'o'beily Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Interesting that they went with several smaller supports for the lift hill rather than one massive beam like skyrush or I305 They also did it with Coaster through the clouds so maybe they did it to avoid the sag? Since I305's lift hill has started to sag from the middle pretty significantly and maybe that's undesirable
DBru Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Since I305's lift hill has started to sag from the middle pretty significantly and maybe that's undesirable Anyone have actual pictures/evidence of this?
steamedturtle Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 I recall seeing a picture from the top of I305s lift hill looking down into the station, and you could see how much the track bowed and flexed. Although I'm sure this part of the design, and there's nothing wrong with it. I doubt this decision has anything to do with it. Maybe it's a different track type, maybe there's different costs associated with it.

Maybe it's a different track type, maybe there's different costs associated with it. If it was a picture, it was probably just lens distortion from the camera. You can't really tell from photos if a line is straight or not. https://www.practicalphotography.com/camera-advice/questions-and-answers/what-is-lens-distortion
cal1br3tto Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 The hype is REAL. Hey, maybe that's why they named it Hyperion. I'll see myself out now.

thrillseeker4552 Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 That drop is definitely giving me Skyrush vibes with that "lip" after disconnecting from the lift hill. Looks fantastic!
B&MIntaminGCI Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Hyperion looks amazing and this might be a little odd but I love, love, love the way those "checkmark" shaped supports look on the lift.
rcjp Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 That drop is definitely giving me Skyrush vibes with that "lip" after disconnecting from the lift hill. Looks fantastic! I thought the same! I believe that's what makes the drop so brutal (which is always a nice way to start a ride) so I'm really glad to see something similar here. And it looks amazing!
DarienPoint Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 I still wish Vekoma won the vote for the hyper coaster.
RollerManic Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 I can’t say it enough that this park is absolutely batshit insane. Never have I ever wanted to go to Poland and now this park is at the top of my bucket list.
DarienPoint Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I love love LOVE the color scheme. Can't wait to see TR photos of this.
KarlaKoaster Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I think this coaster might finally be what snaps me out of my eternal loop of not visiting Energylandia on the basis that every time I think of visiting, they announce something else.
ThemeParkJunkie51290 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 OH . . . MY . . . WORD!!! That coaster looks amazing!
gerstlaueringvar Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Love that shot over the first drop to show how steep it really is!
