Woodie Warrior Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Mine is Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast at Six Flags St. Louis
KBrylczyk Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Poltergeist at Dorney. Rode it as the original Superman at Geauga Lake and again a few years ago at its new home and it's still one of my favorites. The straight reverse spike with the brake is much better than Wicked Twister.
GnastyGnoric7 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 My favorite shuttle coaster is Possessed at Dorney Park.
coasterbill Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Since Goliath at SFNE sucks now I'll go with Montezooma's Revenge.
mightypotato Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 It's a toss up between either of the Mr. Freeze (I liked the Texas one slightly more) or Montezooma's Revenge. Typically, shuttles don't do a lot for me, but I really enjoyed those ones.
coasterkid124 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I used to love The Chiller, especially the Robin side. But as for current shuttles, I choose one of the Mr. Freeze coasters.
Tmcdllr Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I don't know why but I used to really like Invertigo at CGA, it had a couple of spots where I almost blacked out.
The49er Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) As much as Montezooma's Revenge was a fun ride, I'll have to say that my #1 shuttle coaster is SFDK's V2. The main part of what gives it the edge over Monte is the longer ride time, as well as the awesome inverted hanging in the front row on the first and third forward trips. Â Unless SFDK's Superman also counts, in which case I would have to say Superman. That ride is short but completely insane. Edited July 9, 2014 by The49er
rcdude Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Montezooma's Revenge, with the Intamin Impulse and the Vekoma GIB as runner ups. I also like the Premier shuttles (Mr. Freeze/Speed-The Ride), but not quite as much. Other than the four types listed here, I find almost every shuttle coaster to be simply a credit coaster.
DoinItForTheFame Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 It's a toss up between Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast, and Wicked Twister! Both such great rides!
DaMarkSta Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Gotta give it up for Montezooma! Really enjoyed that ride at last years WCB and can't wait to ride it again this year!
mdwarn01 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I really like Invertigo and Wicked Twister, but I haven't been on Wicked Twister in quite a while so I can't accurately rank one above the other.
rubysparkles Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Either Posessed at Dorney or the shuttle loop at Nagashima Spaland.
Nrthwnd Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) For myself, it's the first shuttle loop I ever rode... Â Tidal Wave at the then Marriott's Great America, south of San Francisco. I loved it, from first reading about it in their mailed to me flyer, to actually riding it.....with ONLY lap bars, back then. Â I think I rode it 6 times that day, LOL! Â For nowadays, I am really glad that Montezooma's Revenge in Knott's is still running. That is still my second favourite of all the shuttle loops I have been on, around the world. Â My third choice...has yet to be determined. Tidal Wave, way back when. I enjoyed even the cheesy flatboard "waves" that they used to theme it. Edited July 10, 2014 by Nrthwnd
thrillseeker4552 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Wicked Twister. Montezooma's Revenge is very good too.
