IdahoKat Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 First ever = Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland Later when I was actually tall enough, Corkscrew at KBF (now at Silverwood) Most recently, Magnum-XL and Corkscrew at CP.
ALT2870 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 River King Mine Train - Six Flags St. Louis First looper achieved two days ago, Viper.
viking86 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Either Great American Scream Machine or Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags Great Adventure, I cannot remember which one I rode first (this was back in 2008). These being 2 of 3 Arrows I have ridden, the last one was Trailblazer at Hersheypark. Coincidally I have also ridden 3 Vekoma coasters with Arrow trains.
DILinator Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Cedar Creek Mine Ride. Also my favorite coaster in the world after I first rode it back in the early 80's! (How times have changed! )
Jcoaster Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 The high thrill machine known as TrailBlazer at Hershey Park.
CW5X Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I guess my first one was the Coca-Cola Roller Coaster at Rainbow's End in New Zealand back in 2009. Pretty smooth actually for your average loop-screw ride.
Genx24 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Either Trailblazer at Hershey, Runaway Mine Train at Great Adventure, or WDW's Big Thunder Mountain. Really can't remember.
DrachenfireOP Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Steel Phantom Now that's a hell of a first Arrow! Did you ride it before the trim brakes? Even I, the rough Arrow fanboys couldn't handle that sucker without the trims!
DILinator Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Cedar Creek Mine Ride at CP! It immediately became my favorite coaster!
Intimidated305 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 My first Arrow was Trailblazer at Hershey Park. My first LOOPING Arrow was Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood.
Samuel Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 One of the earliest symptoms of my coaster love was riding the Carolina Goldrusher at Carowinds about 8 consecutive times on my own volition, until my parents finally were able to interrupt my pattern by manipulatively saying, "Fine then, we'll go to Smurf Island without you..." Those were the days! I believe the Goldrusher was my first Arrow.
johnychen Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 The Serpent at Astroworld some time around 1970 to 1971
IdahoKat Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 It was either Matterhorn Bobsleds at DL ~or~ Goldrusher at SFMM. Like a coaster nerdette, I asked my parents which park they took me to first. They think it was Disneyland, although are not 100% certain, and it might have been SFMM.
robbalvey Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 It was either Matterhorn Bobsleds at DL ~or~ Goldrusher at SFMM. Like a coaster nerdette, I asked my parents which park they took me to first. They think it was Disneyland, although are not 100% certain, and it might have been SFMM. I have trouble sometimes remembering between the two also, but I'm pretty sure it was Matterhorn.
mordecai-75 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Tennessee Tornado, also my first "big coaster"! I've ridden quite a few others since, and i find them surprisingly enjoyable. I feel a little cheated when a park dosen't have an Arrow "something", just my opinion.
TheCoasterKid211 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Big Thunder Mountain in Florida, actually my first coaster!
savetheclocktower Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 My first Arrow coaster was Corkscrew at Geauga Lake. I remember nervously approaching the corkscrews, knowing I had no choice but to maneuver through them, but boy was it cool!
