rcdude Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I'm 99.99999% sure it was Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland. The only other possibility I can think of would be the Wacky Soap Box Racers at Knott's Berry Farm, but I think it was the Matterhorn.
Angry_Gumball Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 From what I recall, I'd also have to go with Matterhorn .
simon8899 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 As we mostly have Vekoma loopers by that design here in Europe it's Canyon Blaster at Adventuredome
Voxelmatic Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Anaconda, Kings Dominion... that ride was horrible.
SFOGdude25 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Not sure if it was either Dehlonega Mine Train at SFOG or Adventure Express at KI. I think I rode both the same year.
Randomman295 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Matterhorn Bobsleds followed by the Corkscrew at Cedar Point. I have really fond memories of both, especially since Corkscrew was my first inverting coaster.
JJLehto Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Hmmmm most likely the Trailblazer at Hershey, can't imagine anything earlier. Great American Scream Machine at SF:GA was my first major...my first with many loops. As a kid maybe I was too small to notice, but it was fun! As I got older it just became a pain machine. Â Â Anaconda, Kings Dominion... that ride was horrible. Â Currently at the bottom of my steel list! Awful one.
imawesome1124 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Mine was Anaconda at KD. I can't even remember the last time I rode it just because it's so awful I stopped wanting to ride it years ago!
mike541x Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Pretty sure my first Arrow coaster was Trailblazer at Hersheypark, 2002.
DougMJr Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 My first Arrow, and still one of my favorites, Viper at Darien Lake. It's my home park, but I find Viper smooth and the layout is unique enough.
cfc Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 (edited) Definitely the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland, followed by the Corkscrew at Knott's. Edited February 14, 2013 by cfc
Ed Farmer Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Python at Busch Tampa. I hate to see Arrow coasters taken out for good, but I'm indifferent when it comes to the most basic Corkscrew production model.
BJ KoasterKooK Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Big Bad Wolf @ BGW in 98', I shall always miss that ride, it got my whole family "into" coasters.
Coaster_Fanatic Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Anaconda at Kings Dominion for me! OUCH! Haven't been on it since 2008.
televisedconfession Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 The now defunt Python at Busch Gardens Tampa
Yellow Jacket Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Mini Mine Train at SFOG followed soon after by the Dahlonega Mine Train
jayman Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 My first Arrow coaster, which was also my first inverting coaster, was Tennessee Tornado in 2011. I had to build my courage up to get on an inverting coaster, but I definitely had a blast on it.
linearinduction Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Mine was Desperado at Buffalo Bill's. Ouch! Â - Sid
