kmshimfe Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 BEAUTIFUL views! I really hope to visit someday (and win my first TPR bag-o-crap)!
Schrecken Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Looks like a perfect location for a coaster to be - right on a very scenic coast line.
simaticable Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 (edited) I think SFOG's Great American Scream Machine looks absolutely beautiful with it right over the lake. Edited September 28, 2012 by simaticable
tvkirby Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I saw Ocean Park from a distance on my 2 trips to Hong Kong in 94 and 99, but we were too busy to visit the park as we were dealing with my oldest and youngest daughters that we had just adopted from China. Â My youngest daughter has become a coaster fan, though, and was at Deep South Coaster Bash with me this summer.
hjime223 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Wow! I sure hope I can spare the time and cash to enjoy those views in person sometime soon!
dammie16@vt.edu Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I think SFOG's Great American Scream Machine looks absolutely beautiful with it right over the lake. Â Poo lake 2.0? I just can't see comparisons between blue and brown unless you are a fan of brown water? Idk. haha
PCW_Nut Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Any park with a coaster on the side of what is basically a cliff automatically has the best coaster views ever. So jealous of your China trip. Thanks for all the updates.
guiduran Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 This Alpine Coaster, called Youhooo, was built on the top of a mountain between the beaches of Balneario Camboriu and Laranjeiras, in Santa Catarina - Brazil. It isn't properly a roller coaster, but the view is fantastic, isn't it?  http://www.euamosantacatarina.com.br/wp-content/gallery/unipraias/youhooo-unipraias-balneario-camboriu-03.jpg  Here you can see a 360º image: http://www.unipraias.com.br/tour/1/
fnmatrix Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 This is China? I would love to have a view like that going up a lift hill. Closest I've ever been to that is at Cedar Point.
simaticable Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I think SFOG's Great American Scream Machine looks absolutely beautiful with it right over the lake. Â Poo lake 2.0? I just can't see comparisons between blue and brown unless you are a fan of brown water? Idk. haha I got the picture off of RCDB, so it's not recent. I don't know if the water is still brown or not. It's still a very photogenic coaster.
rolercstrluvr Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 http://www.rcdb.com/80.htm?p=1317 Â I'd have to say Top Gun/Flight Deck at CGA. I know the picture above isn't a pic of the drop, but I just love how it swoops down to the left and right into the loop and grey-out inducing helix.
coasterkyle Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 This is Cliffhanger (aptly named) at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Colorado. Even tho it is a Hurricane, that view is amazing. Â *Photo from Rcdb.com
SuperShawn Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Both are beautiful shots, but man, that reverse shot down the B&M lift with nothing but islands and a vast amount of water is breathtaking.
frozenflames Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 All I can say is : rollercoasters + that awesome backdrop = yes please! How can you go wrong looking at islands jutting out of that blue water? And the fact that you're on a coaster while doing so just adds to the awesomeness!
WFChris Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Until roller coasters are built in national parks...yes! I can't think of a more pleasant view on a coaster than that
fpsphil Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 God i wish we had coasters and parks like that here in the states and especially California, i dont think anything can match that view.
Evanator Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I like the view from the Cliffhanger Coaster at Glenwood Adventure park, but the ride is nothing compared to the rides at that park.
rollercoasterfreak99 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 That is SO beautiful! B&M coaster + green mountains + ocean = AMAZING!
ninlover Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I so wish I could have gone on this trip! POV looks absolutely amazing!!!
coasterbill Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 That B&M is breathtaking. Great photo!
Hockeyman55 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Awesome photos and view. I think I just had a roller coastergasm!
jazzimm Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 It should be international law that all of the locations across the planet with the most stunning views are topped with magnificent roller coasters. Think about how much better the world would be!
