coasterbill
Thanks, SharkTums and Strz! I think we'll wait it out a day in the hopes of making Wednesday work. It looks like it's going to clear up by tomorrow mid-late afternoon. Hopefully the place will be dead and the rain will actually be a good thing. The good news is that the park runs all of the coasters in the rain except for Kingda Ka and even if there are storms they have 2 indoor coasters you can ride while you wait for them to pass. boldikus
I'm going off topic here, but I want your insights on this picture I found on the forums of a different theme park site. SFGAdv has plenty of areas already existing within the park (Old Country, for example) that need to be rehabbed before they even think about expanding any further. Besides, the park is already so expensive as it is. I think that any rumors about future part expansion like this evolve strictly out of wishful thinking. Not to mention the problem the township always has with the park removing trees, and they'd have to in order to develop back there. The have a ton of empty space in the Old Country area that wouldn't require much tree removal, if any, and its an area that is screaming for an update/some additions. Do something with the existing areas of the park that are closed(old country) or decrepit lake area(great lake grandstand). No way SFGadv expands anymore by ka/zumanjaro anytime soon. They should re-open the path from el toro to the golden kingdom
Jcoaster
After visiting the park yesterday and walking through the lakefront area for the first time in what seems like centuries, I would like too see some attractions installed in that area to manage the crowd flow of the park. I think the parks next coaster should be situated in that direction.

I agree. I tend to use that path to go from Nitro to El Toro just to avoid the crowds.

Agreed.....space/land is not an issue- it boils down to added expense and operating cost vs. projected income
DirkFunk
Is it true that Zumanjaro has a sign about track lubricant soiling your clothes?
michaellynn4
^ Haha, yep, it definitely does. I'm thinking about going tonight after work, I'll take a picture of it if I do.

Check out the rumored red supports by KK as well. Probably a hoax but it's been 8 years since a new, adult-sized coaster has been built at the park (rode Chang at KK, too) so I'm starting to get antsy Don't disagree about the park needing other improvements, but as an enthusiast I'm greedy. Yea, I was planning on checking that out, too. Haven't heard anything else about it but the couple posts on here, so I'm betting dollars to donuts that there's nothing, but who knows. I'll give an update tonight.
RideofSteel
^^ I didn't see any red supports on Sunday. Zumanjaro's queue gives a good view of the lot behind Ka, so if there were supports there it would have been pretty obvious.

FaithPlus1
^Funny!! Well, SF has to keep their priorities in check and you know Magic Mountain needs another coaster.
Mega_Coaster_77
^ If there isn't a new coaster this year, than next year they will most definitely add a new one. It's kind of weird that being Six Flags' 2nd most popular park, they haven't added a true new coaster since 2006. You would think they would build more coasters at a park like this. And of course Magic Mountain has got like 3 or 4 since 2011.
SharkTums
^Yeah, but be careful what you wish for. SFGAd is light years better than SFMM so maybe you don't want more coasters added year after year!

SFGAd is light years better than SFMM so maybe you don't want more coasters added year after year! Oh, we don't. But ripping out essentially 5 coasters ( 2 sides of Chiller, GASM, and 2 sides of RT) in 7 years and replacing them with a cloned indoor mouse and a 15y.o B&M nut-banger is making us very thirsty to see some track on flatbeds come through! saweetdude05
Looks like they will be announcing their 2014 addition on August 28th as well. "We're making a big announcement and promise it will be amazing" definitely catches my interest.

glouthan
I have a feeling it's going to be some coaster in the Rolling Thunder spot. Did we all really believe the "We have to remove RT to make space for the construction of Zumanjaro story"? I didn't think so. I could definitely see a coaster - this park hasn't gotten a big one in a long time!
