  1. Then I guess Dorney Park is the exception that proves the rule since Demon Drop, Possessed, and Stinger were all relocated.
  2. I got that email, too. However, for only $13, I don't think it's worth following up on.
  3. I know it's an unpopular opinion in these parts, but I actually like Twister more than Phoenix. Phoenix has amazing airtime, but it just doesn't have the speed and laterals that Twister has.
  4. Whenever you go to Knoebels, plan for it to be an all-day thing. There's actually a lot to do and enjoy at the park, even if you just sit down on a bench and people-watch.
  5. Why the heck would an amusement park frown on single visitors???????? Whenever I go to an amusement park, I'm almost always by myself.
  6. I went to Kennywood a few years ago by myself and did not know the rule about single riders on Thunderbolt. Fortunately, there was another single rider in line so I didn't have to wait too long.
  7. That Korean "cole slaw" is probably kimchi. It's pretty much a staple in Korea.
  8. I also hang out at parks by myself quite often. I'm quite introverted, so don't have a huge amount of friends, and not many of my friends are into amusement parks like I am.
  9. I hope those plastic dividers are just temporary until this stupid pandemic is over.
  10. You haven't been on The Great Nor'easter since they replaced almost all of the track as well as the trains, have you? I rode it in 2019 and it was very smooth, especially for an SLC.
  11. I thought Vekoma's new coasters were supposed to be quite smooth compared to their older hang-and-bang ones.
  12. Most venues will allow you to return your ticket for a refund once the event has been rescheduled since they realize you may not be able to attend the new date.
  13. My first Bayern Curve was the one at Kennywood. It's an interesting ride, to say the least.
  14. I really hope we don't still have a face-covering mandate by then. I can barely stand wearing a mask for more than a few moments, which is why haven't been to any amusement parks since this whole mess started. It's also why I do all my grocery shopping online with curbside pick-up.
  15. I wonder how well wearing a face mask on Thunder Canyon would work, since it's guaranteed to get you completely soaked. I'm pretty sure the masks aren't as effective when they're soaked.
  16. It's funny. I tend to have a very low pain threshold, yet all these coasters that people say are very painful I have never felt any pain from. The only coasters I've actually felt pain from were Green Lantern at Great Adventure and Mind Eraser at Six Flags New England. I actually rode T3 a few times when I went to Kentucky Kingdom a few years ago and quite enjoyed it.
  17. My parents one time had the dubious pleasure of having a couple of monkeys doing the nasty on top of their car.
  18. I really hope the facemask requirement is just temporary. Otherwise I'll never be able to set foot in an amusement park again since I can't stand wearing them.
  19. Cedar Fair actually retooled the logo that was going to be used for Cedar Point's Banshee/Mantis and used it for Dorney Park's Steel Force.
