XYZ
I had a dream three weeks ago that I went on Xcelerator over and over again. I would classify it as a good dream since I experienced the launch several times.
Angle O. Descent
I dreamt I was riding what was meant to be GateKeeper, but the harnesses didn't lock, and had to grab on for dear life... yet I somehow didn't get thrown off... and the first drop was made of potato chips..???? australianalex
I dreamt I was at my local park and discovered that it had a Batman the Ride clone that I somehow hadn't known about. So I rode it, but the carriage broke in two halfway through because I didn't push hard enough. I don't even...
SuperShawn
I had a dream the other night that some friends and I were at Schlitterbahn and everything kept breaking down and we could not find the entrance to Master Blaster no how hard we looked. viking86
I had a funny dream last night. I was in a football (soccer) stadium to watch my team, being in the stand behind the goal. The stand to the right was closed due to it being reconstructed. The seats were removed, but the rest of the stand was still there. Through a hole in the stand came the track of Nemesis(!!!!) and I could also see some parts of the ride behind the stand. BTW the only similarities it had to the real Nemesis was that it was a small B&M invert with grey track. I asked the guy standing next to me if Nemesis was open. He said it was and I said "Good, because last time I was here only Colossus and Nemesis Inferno was open". Of course this meant that the only logic conclusion was that I had to ride Nemesis, Air and Spinball Whizzer to have ridden all the coasters in this park. Suddenly I was getting ready to board a dark ride along with the same guy. Funny thing is that the ride vehicles were pallet jacks that you stood on and held on to the handle. So we got on one each and rolled through the first room and up a narrow staircase(!!!) before the dream ended. Â
GigaG
I had a dream that had something to do with Cedar Point. At one point I was in the air looking at Avalanche Run - parts of it were colored like Avalanche Run, but it was much taller. It was partially enclosed, with most of the building beige like DT, but I think some of it was teal. I think I rode it, and the first drop was not on bobsled track, it was on the guide track like on the MCBRs or lift. The lift was enclosed, but the drop (which I think was teal like Avalanche Run) was outdoors, and the drop was huge (think Phantom's Revenge, but more oddly shaped and maybe taller - it could have been a hyper or giga coaster, but none of the other parts of the layout were anything like that. The drop, of course, was curved like the real DT. After this, the ride went into some buildings in the parking lot, just like DT's building, but in a parking lot. At least the first section of the building had no floor and there were cars parked under it as if the building was just placed in the parking lot with cars still parking in it. The ride was not dark inside. There was a 270 degree upward right helix at one point, and I think the building may have had a divider wall it passed through before that. I don't remember anything else. I remember reading about DT at one point in the dream and it said something along the lines of the coaster being too large and un-bobsled-like for a 3500-foot long bobsled (the real DT was 1,932 feet). Voxelmatic
I had to ride Katun once, but it turned out of the station in to this other room, let us out, and couldn't advance to the lift until we solved a puzzle! So I almost solved it, and then everyone from the line came in and rode for me. Stupid brain...
ArundelHigh Coasters
I remember the day before I went to SFGAm. to ride X-Flight, I had a weird night mare that when I got there, X-Flight was X-Flight from GL, and they removed Raging Bull, and replaced them with a ride where you sit in a shopping cart, and get pushed down a hill. I have some weird dreams when I get too excited about amusement parks, lol. When I woke up, I was had that relief feeling you get after you find out your night mare was just a dream  I also had this other weird nightmare before when I was like 13 . In the night mare, there was a teenaged girl on Mind Eraser, and on the lift, she held on to these imaginary boards on the top of the lift because she was scared, and didn't want to do the first drop, and eventually the train fell off the track, and at that moment I had that weird feeling you get in a dream where you fall, and then you wake up, and it feels like you dropped onto your bed in real life. My dreams are soooo weird, lol.
UrbanLegend
Last night I dreamt that GateKeeper was open and I was about to ride it in the first row, but when I was about to board I got a massive nosebleed and had to wait a few cycles for it to stop. But when it was my turn to ride it wasn't a coaster train, but a school bus. So I rode GateKeeper (which traveled through the hills of Scotland rather than edar Point) while inside of a school bus. Then later I was breaking into an alien research facility with my friend to steal fortified wine, but that part doesn't have to do with coasters. thrillerman1
Two nights ago I had the craziest dream about Space Mountain (I think in Florida). I made my way through the line ready to board, but inside it was a free for all with no queue rails to guide me to a seat, so I just jumped in wherever I could. The ops were TERRIBLE and not helping seat anyone. The ride began but suddenly my rocket sled turned into some kind of ice cream stand and shot out onto a hidden back part of the building with me riding in it. Well hmmph, I wasn't having that, so when it came to a halt I got out and got right back in line. Once again chaos in the queue as I really wanted a front seat ride. After at least an hour trying to get in a front seat, I gave up and walked out the exit to see my mother and sister waiting for me. It was such a bummer! thrillseeker4552
I had a dream that I was on Silver Bullet, and after the corkscrew in to the final helix, my seat flew off from the chassis and landed in the lake below. Â I also had a dream that I rode Leviathan with those manual Miler kiddie coaster restraints.
Rollercoaster Rider
I somehow got sent to Six Flags Great Adventure, Except that it was in 1996. Also Ultra Twister was there but painted all yellow. I got to ride Great American Scream Machine (With a completely different layout) While constantly telling people I was from the future. Also there was a dance/prom in the then Looney Tunes Land. I also met a celebrity but she's an adult film star. Â Â Figure that out.
Rocket Rodder
Here's one for you. Â I was at Disneyland (DLR) and was in line for "Special Space Mountain". there was Regular Space and "Special Space". You had to pay for it and there was a 50 minute wait time, with less than 30 people in line. WTF...? Also, all of Tomorrowland was enclosed, like some crazy complex. Â Â Anyway, It was finally our group's turn to ride "Special Space Mountain". To ride they had to stop Regular space Mountain's operations to put the "special" cars in! ONE AT A TIME. Â Â The queue was unlike anything I'd ever seen. It was outdoor with blue rock everywhere... Then we went into this Theater room. Finally... 12 of us lined up and I ended up in some elevator... Then people looked at me like I was supposed to enter this room along with three other people. So I did. Turns out that "room" WAS the Special car. the reason "Special" Space Mountain's wait was so long was they had to stop Regular Space Mountain every hour or so and add the ONE car, run it, then add the other cars back and run the ride like normal. Â So, we're in this starspeeder-like car, screen and all. The seats have little guns with them and we had to shoot at Targets after we started moving AT THE THIRD LIFT HILL. (WTF????) As the car crested some classical hero theme played as we had to shoot Zurg, Gannon (.... I know. I know.) , the Galaxy Ghost and nearly every other canon villain you can think of. It was fun though! Feeling all the curves and sudden drops of "SSM". But the seats had no restraints AT ALL, and somehow we didn't bash against the walls or roof. Â After the ride ended like we knew it did, we kept feeling forces that weren't like Space Mountain. Suddenly we found ourselves sweeping out and over the mountain, back to Tomorrowland, our seats came out of the vehicle and we were hovering over the crowd. Suddenly Tomorrowland and all of the park were just blue rocks. We had to shoot the GUESTS. Not with bullets or lasers; Disney was safe. We shot them with icy cold water. Yup. After the ride was finally over and the seats just.. disintegrated into nothing, I woke up. (Well, the dream was an inception so I actually kept dreaming. But.... that's another thread.) Â There you have it.
rcjp
I've had quite a few weird dreams about roller coasters, all I know is that there is always something that doesn't go quite as planned. Â In one of them I was on a TRP tour to china and we were riding a wooden coaster that, somehow, wasn't finished yet 'cause the supports weren't properly bolted so the whole structure would swing quite a bit when the train traveled along the course . Actually, the ride had some nice airtime. Â Second one: I was riding Skyrush and during the lift hill climb the restraint opened and I had to hold on for dear life the whole way (specially during that last small but powerful airtime hill). Â Third: I was going to ride el toro with my mom but the entrance was made through a Mexican restaurant which even had a mariachi band playing (strange) . But the worst part was that the dream felt quite real until the ride started and them I realized it was just a dream and all the fun was lost. Â Another one: I was at Hershey park but Talon (which was supposed to be at dorney) was there and it was floorless instead of inverted (oh, and rita: queen of speed (alton towers) was also there). Â One more: I was at... somewhere with a lot of mountains where kingda ka and some arrow loopscrew were located but there was no one there. Â Another one: I was at a park that had intimidator 305 and skyrush and, this time, because the seats on skyrush were supposedly uncomfortable, the ride ops gave us a handful of hay to place over the area where we were going to sit so that it would be more confortable . Â Dream number 1443840: Cedar point was located near a small farm that my grandmother owns (which is in the middle of nowhere) and they had intimidator 305! Unfortunately, we couldn't ride it because someone was murdered inside the park and they closed it. Â Finally, last night I dreamt that I was, once more, at hershey park and they had two extra coasters: nitro and possessed. We had the fast lane/pass thingy but, once more, when I was about to ride a coaster the dream stopped feeling real which is very unnerving. Â So, to summarize, I must have a problem with the location of coasters because there are always some that are out of place and I never get to ride them properly. simon8899
Had one last night - maybe because I've a flu with some light fever now: Â I was at Holiday Park on Expedition GeForce but instead of the last three bunnyhops the coaster in my dream featured two inline twists... Moose
Not really a dream, but when I have trouble falling asleep I've found picturing myself riding a coaster lulls me to sleep. I know it's odd, but it works for me.
Schrecken
I have had several dreams about Skyrush in the past few weeks since I first rode it back in early June. In a few I was riding it, and those dreams where I actually get to ride a coaster (either a real one or a dream coaster) are great, as I don't always get to ride in my dreams for various reasons. In one dream I was in line to ride, and I had gotten up to the station. But the weird thing was that it looked nothing like the real thing - it was set in a deeply wooded area (no creek, at least not that I could see) and the first drop actually went down out of the station rather like the Thunderbolt at Kennywood. Also, the track and the station looked like they were from an old Arrow looper, and the track was painted a bluish-green, rather than yellow. In addition, I couldn't see much of the rest of the ride as it was hidden in the woods, like the Beast or Grizzly at KD. Unfortunately I never got to ride this dream coaster that was called Skyrush but looked nothing at all like it. I just had another dream the other night where everything looked normal, the way it really does, save for the station itself. The park was really crowded in this dream and the station had a weird over-flow area that was actually above the station itself. People would get in line, go up the stairs, and go up another set of stairs (like in StormRunner's station) and fill a few switchbacks ON TOP of the station itself (kind of like a 2nd story). And then they would come down on the loading side and go into the station itself. I could see this area was packed with people and I knew I'd be waiting well over an hour so unfortunately I didn't get to ride. Â I swear I've never had so many dreams about a single coaster in my life! I don't know what it is about this coaster that I keep dreaming about it! ... reissecup
once i had a dream about kennywood, it was dark but no lights were on, i was riding the phantom but it was called steel phantom, and what was weird was that the layout was completely different, it was really high at most of the parts so it wasn't that fast, it had unbanked curves and sudden drops just like a wild mouse but it had 6 car trains, and the trains were green and the track was purple with green supports. in real life it must have been thunderstorming because the train flew off at one of the drops and this is weird because right when it hit the gound it thundered in real life and i woke up. i fell asleep later and the one about the phantom continued, but i was walking home in the rain and i walked under some random pavilion, it didn't have a roof but then a tornado came and the pavilion caught on fire and i woke up again
cmullin
I've had a dream quite a few times where I'm riding X2 and my seatbelt comes undone and I have to hold on with my hands, and then on the last element, I fly off and slam into a car driving up. I've also had this dream twice where I had a sports tournament in Ohio and instead of playing I ditched and went to Cedar Point.
reissecup
ok just last night i had another dream that i was in some weird alley that was already in multiple non-amusement park dreams of mine, and in one of the buildings someone rebuilt the Steel Phantom but you couldn't see it from outside. i got on one of the trains and for some reason the trains were like steel Millenium Flyer trains but with 4 across seating, and the lap bars had to be manually pulled down. mine didn't come down, it just sprung back up every time. just then the operator (who for some reason was my little sister) started the ride and i was yelling at her to stop it but she didn't listen. there was a turnaround before the lift, and it went up pretty quick like an intamin mega, but with vekoma style track. i was holding on the lap bar for dear life, and at the top it just dropped straight down but there was no ravine. it went straight up vertically and way up past the lift and into a rollout, but during the rollout it stalled and i was clinging onto the lap bar, then all of a sudden the car started jumping up and down the vertical track like a frog hopper and i waited until it was at the ground and i got off. just then i got hit by a screamin swing and i went flying and landed on a round up ride, and i got yelled at by the operator and then i flew off and got impaled on the spike of a vekoma boomerang, then i woke up
Dr. M
Roller coasters are one of the most frequent recurring themes in my dreams. Intimidator 305 is a popular one, which is funny as I have yet to go on it (plan on going next year).
