lond Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 ^^^ Awwwww, that's too bad about re-editing the first video. It's still ok, but really quick, now.The first one actually gave me a jump, near the end of it. Oh well, I guess you have to change things, if your video gets banned on YouTube. And by the way - BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to Youtube! You can still see the original one on YT if you within the correct age span /// Marcus
Nrthwnd Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 ^ Hmmm. "within the correct age span." Wonder where I fall, into that span...
lond Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Last sunday was the last day of the summer season. I ended my weekend in the park after helping my sister moving.... Here are some photos from the evening: The park is getting ready for halloween Preparations everywhere Classic photo of Helix Time to drop Weeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The mist is deep Getting darker I'm slightly out of focus Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Soon it is time for halloween /// Marcus
lond Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Liseberg continues to demolish the buildings to make room for the new parking space: /// Marcus
lond Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 This evening I visited the media event for Halloween @ Liseberg. Here are some photos from the event. Missing people Missing people Our refreshments while waiting Dalahäst Valkyria Escape plan I will make a review of the haunted areas tomorrow, as I need to go to bed now..... /// Marcus
lond Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 Have some new photos from last Saturday, but they are still in the camera and I'm currently @ Singapore Airport. Liseberg release that Halloween @ Liseberg had 320 000 visitors (new record) and to 2020 they will expand the Kaninlandet. /// Marcus
A.J. Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Hey everyone, I'm in the early stages of planning a big trip. When does Liseberg typically post next season's opening dates and hours?
lond Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Usually 2-3 month before opening day. You can always look at this years schedule to get a hint of the operation hours for next year... /// Marcus
Anac0nda Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 I highly highly recommend visiting late summer or autumn, because the park has a lot of beautiful lighting and they stay open late (11PM) which means towards the end of the season the sun sets hours before park closure! I have usually visited in August-October and have been lucky so far as temperatures haven't been too bad (= bring a hoodie).
Nrthwnd Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Marcus, is that indoor attraction called SHOCKER, a fun house walk-through, or a dark ride? Or both? I'm just curious. Great night shots of everything there. I miss Liseberg.
lond Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 SHOCKER is a mobile German fair horror attraktion and you ride it in small "cars". /// Marcus
Nrthwnd Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 ^ Cool, thanks! I really wasn't sure whether it was a walk-through or ride-through attraction. I wish Playland and/or the PNE (Vancouver) would bring in at least a couple of mobile dark rides.
lond Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Yesterday I finally got the time to visit Christmas @ Liseberg. I missed the opening due to a visit to Australia and after that the weekends has been to occupied.... It would have been a perfect visit with clear skies and the temperature just below zero °C, but the park was full of visitors. I got some photos before the batteries was flat (forgot to charge them after my trip to Down Under), after that I hade to use my mobile.. Balder & Valkyria was in operation and both was running fast in the cold weather. On to the photos: New edition of the Christmas tree Going down...... Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee /// Marcus If I get the 3000+ photos from my trip in Australien sorted, I will post a PTR......
PKI Jizzman Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 The park looks great, thanks for the photos! Must be an exciting event to have 2 great rides running well in the cold.
coasterbill Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Great photos! It's nice to see them running Balder for Christmas.
per2012 Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Looks like Flumeride will be replaced for 2023 season
Canobie Coaster Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Liseberg's current flume is fantastic because of how well it uses the hill. But if they build a more modern one with some of the special elements they describe, I'm totally on board with this.
coastered Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Looks like Flumeride will be replaced for 2023 season Were have you found this information?
per2012 Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Looks like Flumeride will be replaced for 2023 season Were have you found this information? Someone posted it on Lisebergs Facebook Page
dcxs Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Interesting, the flume is one of my favorites actually, how do we know its going to replace the existing flume? I still dont get where you found it tho
alejon Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Liseberg is a limited company owned by the municipality of Gothenburg (yes, there are politicians on the board), and thus they do public procurements. The dark ride coming in 2020 got "leaked" in the same way. I say "leaked" because the information is pretty open to anyone.
cookiex Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I struggle to see them place it anywhere without gutting FlumeRide or something equally large in return, especially when the document specifies that it’s not a coaster.
DoinItForTheFame Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Found this really interesting YouTube video "Mega Machines - World's Greatest Roller Coaster." It's a pretty interesting watch. Escpially around the 20 minute mark when they show footage from the MACK plant on how the roller coaster track is actually made. The little robot running around pushing metal into the machine was pretty freaking awesome! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2pLGtQJoqU (Hope this is okay to post.)
KarlaKoaster Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 The hyperbole is unbearable! There were a couple of interesting bits, though, so thanks for the link.
Looty Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 I love these shows! They're so dramatic! Still gotta go with "no bolt guns, no Tatsu" as my favorite quote.
