Paradox 0
I have to hand it to the park. They did a great job integrating it into that spot. It looks so much better than I thought it would.

Chasehat 0
Well SFNE has implemented assigned seating on Superman. Great Job SFNE your 2 best coasters you can't pick your seats
BoulderDash 7
Looks like SFNE is on track to get that golden ticket back! (not) They were making people fill in seats and kept saying no waiting for the front. Completely insane. Also Cyclone was loud and ran like crap like the second half of last year. I Like Theme Parks. 0
^This is why I have such a love/hate relationship with this park. They have two masterpieces, Superman and Wicked Cyclone, a good amount of decent fun coasters like Goliath (It's rough, but that makes it so chaotic), The Dark Knight, Thunderbolt (Pretty underrated family ride), and Pandemonium. That on top of a decent thrill ride lineup should make this a great half-day park. But the operations are just so terrible! Superman was the last ride in the park where you could choose a seat, but they somehow found a way to mess that up, too. And the operators are so stupid and slow, especially the Thunderbolt crew. The park really has SO MUCH potential, but they just don't use it!
Zand 6
That picture is the #1 reason of many why I decided not to get a season pass this year for the first time in 15 years. That station was fine the way it was since 2000, why change it? Two of the best steel coasters in the world are within an hour of me yet the poor management and choices of the park have made me hate going there so much that it's not even worth sucking it up to ride them anymore. I'm looking forward to visiting 6 different parks in PA this summer as well as hopefully getting back to Lake Compounce, but other than maybe a trip during frightfest, I'm done putting up with their crap. coasterbill 295
I wasn't planning on going back until after the VR thing is over with anyway but unfortunately that looks really permanent. Let's hope it isn't. This park is so atrocious it's almost funny sometimes.

timetrial3141592 0
Oops. I was planning on maybe making a trip over there, but now I'll be driving past it. Boulder Dash is no Superman, but the ride-ops at least give a shit.
Satans Hockey 8
That's a shame they changed superman, I was there a month ago and they weren't assigning people to rows. Like others said the queue is perfectly setup for people to choose what row they want. There is no reason to change it.
coasterkid124 0
I was against VR on coasters for reasons like this. VR is supposed to be for older or rougher coasters that maybe need more ridership or to get its popularity back. Superman doesn't need this at all, and now it too is ruined by assigned seating. I just want to know what the park thinks that it's getting out of this. They're not boosting capacity in any way by doing it, and it's just an inconvenience and hassle for everyone else. Most people prefer to sit in a certain place even if it isn't just the front or back seats.

PixelRush 0
This whole situation makes me depressed... I mean the only good thing I can think came out of this transformation was the trains and track repaint. I think it's so sad that Six Flags is only in it for profit, so they will try gimmicks all while making budget cuts, making it worse. Bizarro may not have been the favorite character, but at least the music added so much more to the experience.

Boulder Dash is no Superman, but the ride-ops at least give a poo-poo. I actually like Boulder Dash a little bit more. And Lake Compounce is a really great park. Honestly, I in my opinion, Palace Entertainment with LC and Kennywood alone wrecks the whole Six Flags chain.
Srosdude 0
Yeah, it's sucks, but really people. A lot of people are overreacting. And all the reports I'm hearing are saying that they are not assigning today. It sucks, but you still get to ride one of the worlds best coasters.
neil009 0
Is the VR happening yet? I feel like that could be potentially amazing on a coaster this fast and forceful if it worked right. But assigned seating on a hyper shouldn't even be legal.

3Mutts 0
When I was there on Friday they were kind of assigning seats on Superman. basically, they let you choose you're seat but they only allowed 4 people to wait for a row if there was 4 in a row then you had to find another. Also, riding in the front i did notice some small pops of air that weren't there last year (mainly in the twister section).

Yes, its disappointing you cant choose your seat, but it in no way ruins the ride or the park like several people have said. Get a grip folks.
