p. 832: Camp Snoopy announced for 2024!

Glad you folks like my photos. Ill be there next weekend for more. Im betting at least part of the first inversion migtt go up this week. Ed alonzo is rocking kings island this year. Most shows, even on fridays have been packed. The scarezones this year are so so. The new one blood in the bayou has some creepy animatronics in it. You enter on the crypt side and come out on the pathway behind the eiffel tower. Scareactors throughout the park are scarce at times. Most jyst go boo or ghey so some kind of roar. I was in there shoes, and masks, 2 years ago. Its tough work at times. But always fun when you make a guest jump out of their skin. The lines have been short the last 3 fridays and busy on saturdays. I usually get 2 trips through most mazes each friday. If anyone has photo requests fire away.

Nice seeing you again on Friday, it was a really decent night. Great coverage of Banshee too!

The only major photo requests I have are one of Banshee in the park's skyline with everything else. That and maybe one of it behind Slingshot.

I've always wanted to work as a scare actor but I have a night shift job now so I can't get a clear schedule to do it. Though I believe you when you say it's fun!

Trip Report:

My family and I got to visit King's Island Haunt Saturday Oct. 5 and stayed the whole 14 hours the park was open. We got to do all the rides, all the haunts, and get a ton load of pics of Banshee but seeing how so many people have already posted pics, I won't bother doing the same. I'm a huge B&M fan so April can't get here fast enough...and yeah, had to whore my appreciation out by buying some Banshee merch. As for the haunt, it was fun...the rain sucked, but what can you do...just deal with it really. This was only my second haunt I've ever been to. Last year, we went to Six Flags Fright Fest and Cedar Fair's Haunt is just better. Six Flags makes you pay for every little thing, Cedar Fair's is all included...Plus there was just more to do. There were like 15 haunts...all basically the same scare tactics, but different themes. We even watched the shows. With the rain, the crowds moved out late night, so we were able to do everything easily without fright lane except for the train ride, I guess the weather shut it down. I'd have to say Slaughterhouse was the best, we did it twice. Holiday Horror was the lamest. I found everyone working the Haunts to be alright, I got no complaints. We also got to ride Diamondback's last ride at the end of the night in the rain...A huge bolt of lightning shot across the sky while we were mid ride...It was awesome. But, they shut it down after that. I like how Kings Island keeps the majority of their rides going in bad weather...A lot of parks don't like Cedar Point...A small breeze, and then everything is dead. Kings Island is a trooper. I understand the lightning shutting things down, but I just find riding roller coasters in the rain fun as hell. Thanks KI for a great day!

The first drop looks "almost" like the B&M version of the Crystal Beach Cyclone first drop. Almost.

I'm hoping Cedar Fair bought something like Raptor or Flight Deck, not Silver Bullet nor Talon. (I haven't been on Patriot, but have heard it is more like Talon than Raptor.)

Patriot (my 100th steel coaster) is okay, but Talon is better and more forceful. Patriot and Talon are also better maintained than Raptor. (Cedar Point doesn't seem to care much about there B&M's.)

Judging by the looks of the drop, I am going to ride Banshee the way I ride Montu. Row 1 in the morning, and row 8 later in the day.

I think the side you sit on is going to effect the experience of the drop in row 8.

Is it just me that thinks talon was pretty forceful and oldschool? I mean, it wasn't quite as intense as Batman the ride clones or raptor but I felt that it packed quite a punch. I also really liked the fact that there isn't any actual pause in terms of speed (apart from the bit between the helix and drop into the corkscrew) it was just an element right after another and the pacing was great, it also pulled some really nice forces in the helix after the immelmann and the one after the corkscrew. I personally think it is usually underrated (although I might just have caught it in a very good day)

^I agree with you. I enjoyed Talon for what it was.

Banshee sure looks great. I'm just not getting my hopes up about how great of a ride it will be. I just hope that this isn't the absolute end of the B&M pre-drops as I feel like they are a great first element and can still work great in future layouts.

I hope someone posts a skyline pic soon. I'd love to see how it transformed.

And this is from the Coney Mall side, curteousy of calakapepe at kicentral:

Thank you for sharing those! The skyline looks awesome with Banshee, but still odd without SOB lol!

I think Talon is a good coaster. The problem is there are a lot of good Inverts, so it gets lost in the crowd. ...Afterburn too.

Talon is a great invert in my opinion, I like it more than Raptor and the BTR clones that I've been on. There are definitely some g's on the ride, especially on the helix. Hopefully Banshee is a bit more forceful than Talon, but the same forces would be fine too.

^Rule 42. If you can think it, someone has already turned it into porn and either F^@ked it or F^@ked on it.

Actually, that's Rule 34. Rule 42 is that nothing is sacred, which somewhat ties into the same theme.
