atem122
Pretty much any disney coaster has an awesome pre lift, especially california screamin since that's half the ride
TPDave
Really? Space mountain in Paris? Rock n' roller coaster? Â The pre "lift" on tower of terror is considerably better than those...
Loco
My personal favorite is the pre-lift on the SCBB Giant Dipper. The grease smell really makes it awesome. Its also surprisingly long  My favorite also! I love that dip from the station and that grease smelling tunnel.

ghost007jas
Definitely The Giant Dipper at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, all different kinds of awesome.
socalMAN123
^ Agreed my friend. Defenitely the most fun. ---Brent
andre8
Personally, I like Rattler's pre-lift. The roughness of the track makes the turn less boring. Edited August 29, 2010 by TPDave

angryemobeaver
Mystery Mine & Son of Beast are the two that came to mind first.
TPDave
I've merged a second "pre-lift" thread in here so feel free to continue discussion  Throwing in my $.02, Thorpe has two pretty cool pre-lifts in Nemesis Inferno and SAW. SAW being the better of the two!  Dave
mightbeawannabe
Big Thunder Mountain-DLP. Never been on it, but I've heard it's great. Twistyness in the dark! Yay!
jason10
Any launch coaster because it's all a pre-lift! I joke, I joke... Â I have quite a few that I like and they are all different but great so, I'll just list my favourites in no particular order: Â Mystery Mine Saw Nemesis Inferno
cal1br3tto
Like many people, I love Giant Dipper's disorienting, pitch-black pre-lift tunnel. It gets me every time. Other contenders: Powder Keg and ThuNderaTion...if they count.
Jerrykoala2112
Hades has a very intense pre-lift. Really fun and includes a double down, I would ride the coaster again just for the prelift.
Canobie Coaster
Hydra the Revenge- I love the jojo roll. The hang-time I experienced during that inversion is simply amazing. Revenge of the Mummy (Florida)- A very well themed dark ride portion begins the ride. This includes going backwards too. Big Thunder Mountain (Florida)- The beginning tunnel is very dark and disorienting. Space Mountain- There is just something memorable for me about riding down the launch tunnel. Bobsleds- While not very big, there are several tiny bunny hops out of the station that really set the tone for the ride. Nitro- I love the swooping drop out of the station, as it gives an incredibly tiny pop of air in the back. Phoenix- The dark tunnel is a really nice beginning to one of my favorite coasters anywhere. rollin_n_coastin
The best has to be Dragon at Adventureland
cal1br3tto
^Seconded! It's bewildering, yet strangely amusing. Or something.
Dragon Khan
I'd say the only one that surprised me was Hades. But WHAT a good surprise. This part has more airtime than lots of full woodies sometimes !
rollin_n_coastin
^I was being a bit sarcastic about Dragon, but you're definitely right, Hades was just wacky, intense awesomeness.
Nrthwnd
I will probably surprise a lot of those who already know of this coaster, and have differing opinions of it, on the whole. But for me, this is ONLY for the pre-lift part, yes? ... Â Jupiter at Kijima Park in Japan. Â The train leaves the station and then slowly picking up speed, enters into the middle of the layout and really cuts thru a nice section of the part-yet-to-ride, before it hits the lift-hill... Â And after that lift-hill...... well, that's another critique, lol! Â But definitely a good pre-lift, to be sure. BaMiTsPaT
Hydra: The Revenge was definitely the most unique pre-lift experience that I've ever had! The jojo roll was incredible, but I hated the rest of the ride
Geauga Dog
I have to agree - Hydra's jo-jo roll is one of the best. Â Other faves include: Â Dominator when it was at GL - the long run out over the wetlands Adventure Express Son of Beast - I know what you may be thinking but the pre-lift wasn't that bad compared to the rest of the ride. Phoenix - the darkest tunnel I've ever coasted through Conneaut's Blue Streak - for its classic musty tunnel
imawesome1124
I like Dominator a lot just because I like the whole swooping low to the ground thing. I also like Lightning Racer for the same reason. Both are excellent coasters.
Midgetman82
For me, it's Gwazi's. The little coaster part and tunnel before the coaster is kinda fun to me.
