Pufferfish
Mystery Mine and Space Mountain (WDW) both have great prelift segments. If prelaunch segments count, then Mummy's Revenge should go in here too. Its dark ride section is very well done.
Capitalize
Space Mountain at WDW definitely wins for me. Big Thunder Mountain is very good, too.
Mr Stratosphere
I really enjoy the pre-lift and lifts of Space Mountain at Disneyland, and I enjoy the pre-lift of the Belmont Park Giant Dipper in San Diego.\ Â John
gotdane
California Screamin. Launch, airtime hill, and a high speed turn around before the lift hill.  Thank YOU! I was reading through the thread waiting for someone to mention Screamin'!  Hades pre-lift is probably the best part of the ride, so I'll echo nearly everyone else on that.  Love the BTMRR's pre-lifts...the tunnel always gets everyone to scream and then the deafening roar of the lift and bats immediately follows. Its...magical.
hansrubens
I miss the love of Expedition Geforce. But the best pre lift I've been on was De vliegende Hollander. Â I mean there is so much more then just a pre lift. Â Coaster wise it was crap but pre lift it was just amazing. Â Â ----Hans
CreditCrazy
Giant Dipper @ SCBB. It's a really fun little tunnel. It even goes kinda fast and is a little long. That alone is probably better than Space Mountain!
stuartnz
Superman Escape at Movieworld. I urge anyone to ride this if they get a chance! The beginning is like a little dark ride before the coaster.
angryemobeaver
I like SOB's prelift alot.
ECZenith
Hydra's jojo roll is awesome and cruely slow, definately wins it for me.
Eric_Smith
I would have to say Hades, Hydra, and Roar@SFDK. Â Hades and Roar have some airtime and Hydra's jojo roll is awesome.
downunder
Now that I have been on Hydra, I would have to add that to the list, that jo-jo roll is the biggest pickpocket since Oliver Twist.
astroworldfan1
I really like the pre-life on SFOG's Dahlonega Mine Train takes you through it's maintaince area, and it's cool looking. Â -Tatum
coastermaniac
One that I can think of is SoB at KI
raptor2011
I'm actually a fan of Cedar Creek Mine Ride's prelift. I think astroworldfan1 has the same reasoning because you go through the maitenance area where they hold the other trains.
whakojacko
My personal favorite is the pre-lift on the SCBB Giant Dipper. The grease smell really makes it awesome. Its also surprisingly long
DiSab
SoB may suck as a whole, but the pre-lift is pretty good. You get a nice burst of speed coming off the drop.
silvercrew1
All that really comes to mind is Space Mountain at WDW and SoB. Oh and I guess the Beast too because you can always catch a glimpse of Vortex flying by at 55 mph.
haiderodes
I've always loved the pre-lifts of BTMRR at DL and MK. Â I also like the beginning run of Roar at SFDK.
CHILLERLC1
I liked Tennessee Tornado's prelift, going through the maintenance shed. Hydra's jo-jo roll is pretty good. I do not like Dominator's. I like Roar's run at SFA.
TPDave
I think SAW - the ride is a contender for this as well. The pre lift section is pretty good! Â Dave

MG
Saw the Ride Vertical drop and barrel roll, in the dark. What more could you possibly want!
megamatt
Kennywood Thunderbolt & Kennywood Jackrabbit both have fun prelifts. Â Space Mountain @ Walt Disney World has a fun prelift. Â Arrow Corkscrews(in general) have a fast and short prelift.
Junkie~
^^It's not actually vertical, just very close. I agree that Saw is my favourite pre lift though, very entertaining!
