How screwed are we visiting the park on 10/10 and 10/11? My girlfriend is insisting we visit that weekend for her birthday. We're staying at Breakers (they have a dedicated gate, right? Different from the back gate?) and I've been to the park a few times so we don't need to hit all of the credits. Thinking we'll use the back gate to get Vengeance and then hopefully Maverick passes each day and then TTD and MF at the 4:30 time. How long are the lines once you return with your access pass? Should we expect most of the non-pass ride waits to be an hour plus? Thanks for your help guys!

Making my third Christmas visit to Dollywood the week of the 17th and wondering how crowds will be midweek. The two Christmas visits I've made previously were pretty dead, but they were much earlier on in the holiday season. I expect the shows will be busier than the rides, but any other advice would be appreciated.

I should have put this in my original post, but I've seen a couple of crowd calendars that have the park listed as dead. Just wanted to get a third opinion.

Going to the park for the first time ever next Saturday. Wish I didn't have to make a weekend visit, but it's the last day of a road trip. Tickets were $5 more for Saturday then the five days before, so I'm a little nervous that crowds may be higher. Any one have a guess how crowds will be? Willing to get Flash Pass if it's necessary to take in the whole park.

Going to the park on Monday the 22nd for the first time. What kind of crowds can we expect? Willing to put the $100 for Fast Lane if need be.

Thanks guys! The park was dead when we were there, just like it seems to be everyday. I suppose it'll pick up this summer, and Saturday nights the place will probably be rockin!

Spent an evening at the park on Tuesday for their Friends and Family night. Had a blast, and got the first chance to use my new Big-Kid camera in a park.

Pretty sure their hotels all include park admission though... $120 a night with four park tickets isn't bad at all. Basically the price of park admission with a free hotel stay.

At that point why not take two seconds in the morning to throw together a PB&J?

Crystal Palace Hollywood and Vine Nine Dragons Tony's Town Square Disney World may have some of the best theme park food in the world, but they got a laundry list of overpriced crap as well.

There are no traditional sit down restaurants in the park, only counter services with indoor seating.

Glad to see the mannequins again. They were the creepiest thing on the entire show floor last year.

Dear God, if you can only do one event outside the convention, skip the City Museum and do The Darkness. I love the City Museum to death, but the Darkness will blow your mind. We're talking better than Horror Nights good.

How will crowds be next Sunday? Park hours are pretty short and it is a weekend, so I'm a little worried about getting everything done. Also, what's your guys' recommended Touring Plan for the park?

Yep, and it looks fantastic! Very quaint and charming.

The drop door slides were just okay, the Constrictors were really bad, but those tube slides with the crazy drops are great! I'd be heartbroken if VF got a similar structure, but opted against the least flashy slides in the complex.

Valleyfair had their own group. The three of them would be at the park 5-6 times a week, and would just alternate between watching the two live music shows. It was so bizarre. They were always there when I'd visit, and they'd just be plopped down, watching the shows. They'd always take pictures with the casts after each show, and even got multiple crappy t-shirts made with the photos on them that they'd wear to the shows. Then when Haunt would roll around, they'd be their every night. Opening night, they'd hit up every maze once, then for the rest of the season, they would only go through the park's Chateau Du Damne maze. Over and over again; racking up hundreds of walkthroughs during the event's run. No idea why they didn't just apply to work Haunt...
