Hey everybody,

As most of you know, TPR hosted a DVD release party following a seriously awesome day st SFMM with some great surprises thrown into the mix. This was my first visit to the park, and I will admit that it did NOT live up to all the bad things I had heard about it. I had a VERY enjoyable visit to the park and I look forward to returning soon! I didn't take a TON of pictures, but here they are anyways. Enjoy!

And bye to Jahan aswell! Both of those guys are very dedicated to their jobs and perfect roll models for the new SFMM "image". I hope you enjoyed my PTR, thanks for looking!

My flight was in a few hours, so it was time to say goodbye to Mike. He's one of Magic Mountain's best, honestly!

IMG_3732.JPG.126bb45f6f9fea31f4c97f2a36db61e1.JPG

We left and then came back around 5:00 so that I could ride Ninja. Ninja was great, even if it was really cold outside!

IMG_3727.JPG.08bad55b576cd8982925524360c1fc4d.JPG

We took another spin on Goliath, which I have to say had the best crew in the park. Good job, guys!

IMG_3725.JPG.43461132c67128300b0d19ffc19b5335.JPG

Luckily it had been rebuilt just in time for us to ride. This is about how high I saw the car get the entire time I was there.

IMG_3724.JPG.a7c39497589cfe1a43229a8b048253fa.JPG

We would have ridden Superman, but according to Ryan it had been torn down already...

IMG_3720.JPG.f6cc5977d522bdeb91e2fb1078febe7f.JPG

Tatsu was pretty much awesome as far as flyers go. It actually did something unlike the SUF's!

IMG_3719.JPG.1011a320ce9875d088088d884ea5bca2.JPG

Ninja was closed because of the cold. I'll come back later and get it...

IMG_3718.JPG.3d5aa1e509c170efb37f3369179a3d58.JPG

Here we are on Orient Express. For some reason, I look VERY little. Mike, please don't eat me!

IMG_3716.JPG.9a22d9438f868c4911ec78e350fc063b.JPG

It is a really fun ride though, I enjoyed it.

IMG_3714.JPG.964bcda91e1b32e23e5e7f8ace53acfb.JPG

Revolution won't be getting rid of its OTSR's anytime soon, oh well...

IMG_3713.JPG.7d8e77fdbdc433d80a98baea1717830f.JPG

The next day I went back with Robb, Ryan and Mike to get the rest of my credits.

IMG_3712.JPG.500e4c032c03d081a597545372fb3e51.JPG

Its hard to focus when there are SOOOO MANY patches on Jeff's jacket!

IMG_3709.JPG.4f250a3f96e834d8c08c3289e087b7b3.JPG

There was sooooooooooo much food to be had!

IMG_3708.JPG.f0b8b16fb7a593f6c79a3eb6036c739a.JPG

I finished up my day at SFMM with a few night rides on Viper and then Revolution. After that it was off to the Alveys!

IMG_3703.JPG.1b3c35f91cd572620f41efe190bd5ccf.JPG

Here is one of the slides from the presentation. I didn't take any others, but this is harmless enough, right?

IMG_3701.JPG.41d0531d0c750ef1a435177f3eb2065a.JPG

We had a bit of a break before the presentation, so I went and got my Goliath credit.

Other side of the station. You can see one of the old X trains sitting over in the transfer area.

IMG_3697.JPG.ce192499f9e6aed3061e5d40f9813567.JPG

Most of the station has been painted to the dark gray and dark red color scheme.

IMG_3696.JPG.a094ed865f6f563ed170bfaadd489c69.JPG

Soooooooooo many gallons of paint!

IMG_3693.JPG.41d7dbae2d0d9cc7291394657f0f4878.JPG

Now it was time for another highlight of the day, the X2 tour!

IMG_3689.JPG.d82df5e77b26c2a559e4128f96b1d393.JPG

Hehe, Wes is soooooooooo silly.

IMG_3688.JPG.529550c3d94b630cf4d4df4b1acf9fe0.JPG

The Thomas Town area provides some great angles of Goliath. TT should be a nice expansion for the park!

IMG_3687.JPG.0e74a47c311fc709bea96b3070a0dfc3.JPG

Wes found his whip back stage. Check out those rims, dawggg.

IMG_3686.JPG.d907d5c98d3d36317cf5287093a27c05.JPG

Another shot of the pile of scraps. This one is better because it has 10% more Guy in it than the other one!

IMG_3685.JPG.087c576bd5d2f1f3d9bf5b314d957d6a.JPG

Looks like the Flashback trains had the same demise. Oh well!

IMG_3684.JPG.dfe2c333f9a2075d4762fc416cfe8cbc.JPG

Yeah, that'll buff out.

IMG_3683.JPG.2cbaeb663eeaefdbf1f2f12b37f2d3bf.JPG

The old Metro Cars are back here as well. Apparently the metro will be taken out, although its not definite yet.

IMG_3682.JPG.43c5dc257267d68a75266d3957b02b82.JPG

Tim Burkhart talked to us about why Flash back was taken down, what is going to be done with the land, and possible use for the area in the future.

IMG_3681.JPG.3eeb1ec1bd797a7669de55033ea0070d.JPG

Mr. Metal-eating-crane and pieces of Flashback laying around behind it.

IMG_3680.JPG.898ce28fd91ebbb26b8a28c637ce419d.JPG

More dirt. You can see where the old entry walkway was around the back.

IMG_3679.JPG.6bb53edce09ccdbd9d78f7920804812c.JPG

Ah, Flashback Dirt! As you can see, there is pretty much NOTHING left!

IMG_3678.JPG.92024e7ef33aba27bede5d67167ef5e4.JPG

Here is the part that a lot of us were waiting for....Flashback destruction tour!

IMG_3677.JPG.f558c6ca32442b5f03a95ae14e11ae1b.JPG

Thank you Mooseburger Lodge! We had a fantastic lunch!

IMG_3676.JPG.d291f752c21e60a54fa69ddfd14d8e17.JPG

Chris demonstrates the proper way to eat the chocolate cake. Notice the Tatsu cups, those were placed on the table and filled with T-Shirts for all of us!

IMG_3675.JPG.8f3ff426796399682ba3a9a13df24b64.JPG

It was time for lunch after Colossus, and my god what a lunch it was. Everything was fantastic, and just look at that cake! It honestly was some of the best carrot cake I've ever had (although I couldn't finish it)!

IMG_3674.JPG.c680c630031d6f34ee02b7a5e0d96b6e.JPG

Here is another horrible picture, this time of Colossus. Honestly, it wasn't bad at all! Its definitely a classic coaster, and I really enjoyed it.

IMG_3673.JPG.e594e67cebda8275b428c390af55c65d.JPG

Chuck, Guy, Kyle and Wes on Batman. BTR's always pack a punch, this one was no different.

IMG_3672.JPG.a623cf22643f15b2835638e9677456c8.JPG

Here is a horrible picture of Riddler. This standup ruled, definitely my favorite of the three I've ridden.

IMG_3671.JPG.5716e9517426855953dfccd4aaaa0293.JPG

Gold Rusher was testing, so we got in line for it and ended up being the first train of the day. It was a fun little mine train, definitely interesting!

IMG_3669.JPG.9c4f6e0db57d8ae4c4a9f1ef2b28c226.JPG

I found this thing (sky shot?) interesting. I'd like to try it someday, maybe next time...

IMG_3666.JPG.46a3664d564ab0941d945e0c8feacbe5.JPG

Our group headed over to Deja Vu as soon as the park opened. It was closed and nobody was in the station, so we headed elsewhere for the time being.

Guy leads the way down the Tatsu exit ramp while providing helpful tips such as the dew-point from the previous night, and how humid it was today!

Raaaa, I'm Tatsu! My pretzel loop is sooooooo forceful that you might deficate yourself! Please enjoy ERT on me, raaaaa!

IMG_3662.JPG.5a15b772f4979314cb1e7a87f542e094.JPG

Sky Tower was not open today, but there is some work being done in the observation deck which when finished will be really awesome!

IMG_3658.JPG.722ab023fb8b953226d371e6d9d56b1c.JPG

On our way over to Tatsu for ERT, Neil stopped us in front of Viper where we were surprised with Viper ERT!

Once we parked, we me outside of the main gates to pick up our wristbands and nametags. Eventually we were let into the park at 9:30 after the director of operations, Neil Thurman, gave us a little speech.

The day started out with us waiting for parking to open up at 9am.

Very nice Photo trip report! There were 'sooo' many awesome pictures in that TR. Nice to see the X station, I was up there a few weeks ago and its already changed a lot.

Thanks for the comments! Its all about the park moving forward and I'll continue to do my best.

It was really great to finally meet you, next time you come out we'll have to do another epic TR, do I sense an action figure in the next one? Who knows.

That gave me a good laugh.

Awesome TR! Sounds like everyone had a great time at the park that day and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to my trip there in March and hope that the park is still as good as it was during your visit. It's just too bad X2 won't be open then.

Thanks for the update Colin. By the way, did Colossus or Superman The Escape have both sides running? I'm trying to get a credit estimation figured out for my spring break trip.

Sounds like you had fun.

Awesome TR Colin (pronounced cole-lynn). As always, it was awesome to see you again. I was sooooooo glad your first Magic Mountain experience was a good one. If all goes acording to the master plan. That experience should get better and better as the months progress.

Hope your flight went well and you got some sleep. Take care bro. See you on the next one!

It SO was.

Great PTR Colin! I always love reading about "first time" visits to SFMM and this one was a great one! I agree--the Goliath crew is the best crew in the park!

Hope to see you back in a few months.

Colin, in that picture which you looked like a dwarf, you reminded me of this really annoying kid at my workplace.

Other than that, great TR. Glad to see the new management taking shape and well, Jahan being a model employee.

I blame the photographer, I'm really not that small!

See, look, I'm like half a Waffle House!

Glad all of you liked it. I really did enjoy the park a lot more than I thought I would. I hope to make my return visit for WCB, so I'll possibly see a lot of you then. Thanks for reading guys!

^Dude, I am SOOOOOO SORRY I didn't hang out with you more! I didn't even notice you without the hair! Next time I promise. And thanks, I really did enjoy the park. I'd put it on par with SFGAm currently, I was pretty much blown away.

Dude, it was awesome meeting you and hanging out for a bit. SFMM really went all out for us all and It's awesome that it was your first experience with the park instead of a what it normally was (you can definitely tell there's a difference then the past)

Awesoempics and see you at WCB if you end up making it.

It was horrible meeting you Colin. You are getting soooooo much love in this thread, I had no choice but to say that.

Fun TR. Hope to see you again for WCB.
