helix
To me, The brake run doesn't look any different to that of Batwing, Firwhawk or Borg. You also are shown how the seats are suppose to raise and lower as you enter the station, something not seen on Batwing anymore. By raising the lift to the angle they did, they remove the problem with the glare of the sun. Looks like an awesome ride and if it looks as fast as it does in the video, pretty insane if you ask me. sixflagsguy5
I think it looks like a good idea. I'm not a big fan of flying coasters, but I still think it's cool. Hopefully they'll use magnetic brakes or keep the braking smoother than in the video.
kraken613
Maybe this will be better than their other flyers. I just didnt enjoy them.
TexTitan01
Am I the only one that thinks this doesnt look too terribly bad? sure, capacity might be a bit sucky, but It still looks like a cool design. Â Maybe they'll configure it to dual loading stations, that'll increase capacity.
VegasCoaster
I don't see this as being that painful. Sure Vekoma has made some pretty bad rides, but with my experience the flyers aren't rough, though if they had normal restraints my opinion on that would probably be different. Apart from the low capacity, it looks like a fun, compact ride.
robbalvey
Does anyone have or can find any information about the park this is going into?  I see it's going into this park according to RCDB: http://www.rcdb.com/pd1724.htm  But does anyone know if this is the same as this park: http://www.rcdb.com/pd608.htm  I really haven't been able to find any good information about where this ride is actualyl going.  Was that video on RCPro an official video from Vekoma? I didn't look like it, it looked more like someone did it in NoLimits then slapped Vekoma's logo onto it, but if it is official I guess I could try to contact someone from Vekoma to get more info.  Anyone have info to help us out?  --Robb
The Patchman
whatever park gets it, looks like its going to be a great innovative ride. I hope that they pull this off well, too bad I cant get to china anytime soon.

I anticipate it to be like London Eye with a flyer next to it. I doubt it will be an amusement park, but rather more like a city park.
coolhandluke
From what I saw from Robb's RCDB link, this park (if I was looking at the right one) is not big by any means (small enough to have virtually NO info...). That makes me think capacity won't be as big of an issue as ppl may think. I will admit this particular capacity looks very low, but a park doesn't need a 2,000 PPH ride when the park's smaller than some county fairs... . I think some ppl expect people-eater coasters regardless of how much it will be used.

Vekoma and NoLimits work together, so I'm sure it's the real deal. I can ask the NL team if you want.
TTD
Yeah, we got the catalog and CD from Vekoma when we went out to IAAPA this November. I was surprised, after viewing their product video, at how many of Vekoma's products use No Limits to show off the ride's capabilities. Vekoma even has a spinning coaster made up in No Limits... Gutterflower
Right I thought id turn my hand to digging up any info I could find on this new one. The park appears to be new and from what I can gather so far the ride is still being built.  This page has various plans and some construction pictures of the park http://news.xinhuanet.com/forum/2008-05/25/content_8243409.htm  interestingly some of the graphics show a Stingray and some a Volaire  Sorry its not much but ill update if i find more

SharkTums
We talked direct with Vekoma a few months back when we were planning our China trip (we were trying to decide whether to go to the Shanghai area or not). They told us that if everything was on schedule they weren't even planning on turning it over to the park until late August. And then it's out of their hands as to when the park opens is. Â We decided not to risk it!
BeemerBoy
I think it is going to a "park" that will contain a very large ferris wheel. Â In Asia? Naw, that can't be. Â Â Â Â Â Sorry, I realize it's an old post, but still made me chuckle.
pacoasterrider
I love Vekoma flyers. Â and if the park is looking for a small fairly cheap ride, looks good to me.
Capitalize
Based on the 3 flying dutchmen coasters I've been on and the 2 SUF's, I have to say I love the flying dutchmen. Â The vertical loop alone is fantastic, the first drop and huge overbank is also awesome as heck. I'd say I'm pretty pumped to see some new designs and flying coaster ideas from them. Devious
 That looks SICK! i'm a huge fan of the vekoma flyers, preferring them over B&M by a longshot  Seriously people, vekoma makes AMAZING rides, just a few of them give them a bad rep because parks havent gotten the newer trains they've been using (3rd gen? cork trains with the open sides on their boomerangs for example)  Dont diss it till you ride it
.TP.Emma.
WOW! China are lucky to get a cool coaster like this. i can imagine long ques though seeing as there is only 1 train (i think) i would probably go on a ride like this if i had the chance

mcjaco
^ You can edit your posts, instead of adding a picture for each post. I've deleted your other thread of the same topic. Â Please read the Stickys. They'll help you out before posting. Threads should be descriptive. For instance, you could of started this by saying what you thought about the Vekoma Flying Coaster, then asked what other people's opinions were. Â Welcome to TPR!
