DorneyKid14 Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 So Google Earth has finally started updating the maps, and Mean Stre.... I mean Steel Vengeance, looks so nice. Google Maps
DoinItForTheFame Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 ^ I find shots like that more interesting than I probably should...
DorneyKid14 Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 ^ doing the 3D buildings is pretty cool at amusement parks. I spend way to much of my time on google maps and good earth.

ytterbiumanalyst Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 ^ Fortunately, the Technology Genie grants that wish. The 21st century is awesome.

anonymouscactus Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 #ThisForkIsForSV Warning: this video may make you dumber.
prozach626 Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Omg!!! This new POV of SteVen looks amazing!!! Hah. Didn't even bother to click on this one.
chickenbowl Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 [twitter] [/twitter] The last lap on this thing will be crazy. Immersed within the structure for almost the entire time AT RMC-LEVEL PACING Head-choppers f**king galore.
RollerManic Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I love the pacing. That transition out of the roll looks like it'll have some weirdly-awesome, drawn-out laterals, like Mako's S-bend above the midway. And the hangtime looks great through that roll.
CedarFair1 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 All 3 testing clips pieced together and oh my goodness! The last clip looks stunning!
cal1br3tto Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 The last lap on this thing will be crazy. Immersed within the structure for almost the entire time AT RMC-LEVEL PACING Head-choppers f**king galore. This is music to my ears. Headchoppers have always been one of my most beloved coaster characteristics, and I've really enjoyed them on some of the RMC inversions.
Invertalon Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 No doubt that this ride will be phenomenal! I do find it interesting the slight right turn at the bottom of the first drop to the right. Wonder if that was required given the structure alignment of Mean Streak or was just an added feature for some laterals. Night rides on this thing should be madness, especially in that structure. Wonder how it will be lit (or not).
steamedturtle Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Wonder if that was required given the structure alignment of Mean Streak or was just an added feature for some laterals. Definitely the lat-ter. Okay, I'll see myself out.
CoasterAuditor Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 I've paid virtually minimal attention to this ride this off season solely because of Twisted Timbers being 40 minutes from my apartment. It looks absolutely phenomenal. Pretty sure if I was at Cedar Point I would be spending a fair bit of time in the back between this and Maverick.
bobbie68 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Hi I was wondering if someone can help me with a park question. I am heading there the third week in August from the 19th to the 23rd. I noticed that the hours change that week to closing earlier. I could go the week before if I have to where the hours are longer. My question is does this mean that there will be less attendants and some rides may not be open like full swing summer? I wasn't sure when their summer help leave. Thanks for your help!
coasterbill Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 They'll be understaffed but it won't be all that noticeable and the rides should all be open. The only thing that might happen that anyone would care about is that Gemeni may not race. On the upside, the park will be a bit less crowded.

thepoint4life23 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 The end of August is when a lot of Ohio Schools start back up and College i think start up too. This will help with attendance at the parks
anonymouscactus Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Tickets are now on sale for Brew & BBQ... also menus and breweries are listed at the bottom of the FAQ. https://www.cedarpoint.com/play/events/brew-and-bbq
Nrthwnd Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 ^ I'm glad Bert and I got to do BBQ & Brew and CoasterMANIA! in the same weekend, last year. Too bad they decided to move B&B up a week, for it's start. But I guess it's a matter of crowd control, especially with CM! including SV this time, etc.
bgtlover Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Tickets are now on sale for Brew & BBQ... also menus and breweries are listed at the bottom of the FAQ. https://www.cedarpoint.com/play/events/brew-and-bbq I was just about to post this. It looks like a great deal for passholders. $22 for 15 ticket samples sounds awesome (much better than 10 for $36 at SWO and 15 for $55 at BGT for passholders with their similar events). It will be my first time and until I saw this pricing I wasn't even considering it. Depending on the portions, I could likely eat off that my 3 days there...lol Of course that won't happen since there are a couple other places in the park I'd like to try as well. There also are some items my partner can possiby try since he's a pescetarian/vegetarian. He eats dairy and fish and there is a shrimp dish, nacho dish & desserts he might be able to try listed on there. Neither one of us are into beer, but looks to be some selections we may be able to stomach. ^ I'm glad Bert and I got to do BBQ & Brew and CoasterMANIA! in the same weekend, last year.Too bad they decided to move B&B up a week, for it's start. Were there liquor samples available? We aren't beer drinkers, but liquor is a yes...lol
