Hilltopper39
So who's gonna count backwards Superman as 2 new credits?
Fire2box
Looks like I'll never go on flashback now. However, did it hurt worse or the same as Kong at SFDK?
willh51
Well, that Zac Spin came out of nowhere. I have got to get to SFMM at some point in my life.
Midgetman82
^^^If it makes my ride count higher, then I will!
alexinla
I never met the guy, but I think Jeff Johnson would count the Zac Spinn as 2 credits. Forward seat/backward seat will be two different experiences/rides

ParkTrips
Isn't every ride unique? If so, I'd guess he'd count each lap as a new credit
John Knotts
Two interesting things from the video. Â 1) Interesting the the top third of the Superman tower will be painted red. A new bench mark for how high the cars will go up the tower? Something tells me our Intamin tower backwards launch will be different than it's Dreamworld counterpart. But I won't get my hopes up just yet. Â 2) Yeah, yeah ...I know you can't go by a promotional video for accuracy. But is that a fresh coat of paint on Scream I see? Â 3) And one more thing... Is it possible that Deja Vu is closed partly because it will recieve a new color scheme as not to be redundantly identified with Green Lantern? Hymmmmm.... Sir Clinksalot
^ Agreed, I would think Riddlers would be the one needing a color change since Green Lantern is going to be right there.
John Knotts
^ True. But the ZacSpin and Deja Vu are both funky looking stationary coasters, while Riddlers has more of a traditional extended layout. Not to mention the green reflects the characters the coasters are based on. So to me it makes more sense to change Deja's colors. daveydo5172
In regards to the comment made a few responses ago, would an amusement park show a computerized promotional video with rollercoasters that are fading in color? Of course not! And Deja Vu was just painted last year I believe, so I dont believe it would be painted again now. It usually goes down this time of the year for its annual refurb! John Knotts
^ Which is why I began my question with the full knowledge that it's from a promotional animated video. It's unlikely I know, especially with the enormous task of painting Supes. But it does look great!
coasterking2981
So now we have Six Flags is painting everything green, while Cedar Fair is painting everything red
John Peck
Great Additions all around! Â How are these Zac Spins on capacity? Do they have a lot of cars?
SharkTums
^The version that SFMM is getting can run between 6 and 8 cars if I remember correctly. Eight people per car. I'd say the ride cycle including load/unload is around 4 minutes.
cedarpointfangirl
Wow, I really can't wait till WCB. Be great to get some behind the scenes of these!!

Nando!
This news made my day! How fun is that? It does feel like 2001 all over again, but for some weird reason and I'm more excited this time around.
macca_boy69
3 Coasters is UNREAL! Congratulations SFMM!
tmhuber
With news like this from SFMM, and Cedar Fair spending little money this year, I see Cedar Point putting something Huge in 2012. Maybe new B&M prototype like X-Raptor at Gardaland!! Here's hoping.
RoCo
I got a real soft spot for the Supes, seeing as how it was such a landmark attraction back in the day, so I'm really glad SFMM is pimping it out and giving it a second lease on life. Â That Zac Spin thing, though,... it scares me...
B-RadG
So today in Algebra we had this worksheet and one of the questions was like- "ROLLER COASTERS One of the world's fastest roller coasters is located in a theme park in Valencia, California. Riders go from 0 to 100 miles per hour in 7 seconds. Find the acceleration blahblahblahblah." Anyhow, just reading that made me have a major nerdgasm and I figured I'd share. Awesome to hear that not only is Superman getting some love, but the fact that they're also adding that epic little ZacSpin.
