Xcellerator's station at Knotts Berry Farm has only five gates for a ride with 10 rows. Each gate is for each car. This means that four people enter at once. It is a battle to get the front of the two rows.

^Oh yeah, I remember that now...seemed like a pretty stupid system to me at the time. And it still does.

Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain had a small measurement mistake. When the last piece of track was installed, the track came up a few inches short at the final brake run. A small piece of track had to be fabricated to complete the circuit.

I'm having a hard time finding a photo, but you can see to the naked eye where the track piece is at.

Look safe 'cause it lands on water.

Source? I mean, I guess the pic says it all, but hey, there could be an interesting story or historical information. And yes, I realize it's safe to say this probably never happened.

^ That was a photo that Knoebels recently posted on Facebook. They joked about building it I believe.

Haha, thanks Ryan. I feel like I should've seen them post that!

Did you know that when they replaced the top of the Great American Scream Machine loops, they put one in the safari.

Dragon Khan was the first B&M where the main drop was a straight one (as long as you don't count that little dip before Nemesis's first corkscrew a drop).

Does anything know about the rumour that canada's wonderland was going to get a b&m invert but because they were within a 100 mi radius of cedar point, they were not allowed. Because of this we got an SLC headbanger instead?

also similar situation for B&M floorless?

Cedar Point and Canada's Wonderland are not within a 100 mile radius of each other. Maps are an easy tool to use to confirm this.

You also have to remember, that Paramount owned Canada's Wonderland when Flight Deck/Top Gun was built. It was Paramount's decision to make the SLC instead of a B&M Invert, and at the time, the SLC was an exciting new concept.

Not 100 miles but within a certain radius. Hence why they went with a Vekoma SLC as opposed to A B&M Inverted Coaster. On the + Side, We got Leviathan out of it cause B&M Owed Canada's Wonderland a favor.

Long story short....

CW- If you don't do it, You'll lose the contract

B&M- Fine, I'll do it, I'll do the 300

They didn't owe them a favor. And they can turn anything they want down. They turned down Cedar Point when they asked them about doing a giga for what would become Millennium Force. Turning down a park because a project is out of your comfort range is completely normal. It's normal in any design industry. You're covering your own butt by staying clear from projects you aren't comfortable with. If B&M wasn't completely ready in their own abilities to design a giga coaster they wouldn't have.

Ninja at SFOG opened with two trains acquired from the previous operation as Kamikaze. Both trains were recently replaced with two of GASM's old trains. The two GASMs are now adjacent to each other.
