RyanTPM Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) ^Good guesses but you can tell it's Gerstlauer from the track, Mack has slightly different track connectors and so does Gale Force. You can also see what appears to be a eurofighter tower in the background of that second to last picture. Looking forward to seeing what the layout looks like, i'm sure it's going to be good! gerstlaueringvar Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Yay for another Gerstlauer! Their infinity coaster is truely amazing!
boldikus Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 If it's a Eurofighter I'm very excited. Hope it's lapbars like Dare Devil Dive.
Canobie Coaster Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 ^It looks like it'll be a euro fighter, very nice indeed! I actually thought Gale Force clone (which would be hilarious) or a Mack spinner. It will still open before Gale Force Both EuroFighters I've been on (Dare Devil Dive and Untamed) were fun little rides. I just hope they have the lapbar only trains.
RyanTPM Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 ^^That's what i was thinking, maybe not a clone as such, but similar.
SixFlagsAstroworld Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 The colors are awesome! I can't wait until this is complete
terdferg Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Was this announced? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
larrygator Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 (edited) rcdb is saying it is a custom Gerstlauer Infinity model, but I also have not found a confirmation. Edited September 18, 2016 by larrygator
Chris27 Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Where are they gonna put it? Boardwalk in Seaside def needs a ride like this.
xVicesAndVirtues Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 This, in addition to the hopefully-open-by-2017 Gale Force make for a really great reason to go back to the Jersey Shore next year. And here I was only planning on going for the re-vamped SLC. The Infinity coasters are totally nuts in the best possible way, having been on both Karacho and Monster. Scary hangtime inversions with lapbars, I've literally never purposely tightened my lapbar as much as possible on any other coasters before except these.
boldikus Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Well, color me excited. If anything this is only intensifying the fire under Moreys ass to do *something* more worthwhile than twiddling with the coasters they already have.
coasterbill Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 As I said elsewhere my original thought was disappointment because now I'll have to go back to this sh*t hole. Apparently people get offended when I point out the fact that Seaside is an unimaginable sh*thole but it is.
chadster Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 ^No offense here, I too hate that shithole especially since their automated parking meter malfunctioned and caused me a $40 ticket. Hate that place.
KBrylczyk Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 As I said elsewhere my original thought was disappointment because now I'll have to go back to this sh*t hole. Apparently people get offended when I point out the fact that Seaside is an unimaginable sh*thole but it is. Having grown up in Monmouth County and spending tons of time there with friends, I completely agree. The trash can pipe bombs don't help, either.
michaellynn4 Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 I grew up going to Seaside, so I'll always remain fond of it, even in its weakened post-Sandy-and-fire shape. My band used to always play at the various bars for quick, easy money. Love this news! It may be a s**thole, but it's MY s**thole.
DILinator Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 I haven't been since before the Summer before Sandy, and of course the subsequent fire, but I have fond memories of my visits to Seaside Heights as well! Granted, I probably haven't experienced the worst it has to offer, but it was always a fun place to spend an afternoon while visiting my relatives in Lavalette nearby. I'm excited about the idea of them getting an actual coaster there, and hope that it might be open by my next visit in June!
Jcoaster Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Wow this is so freakin awesome. Looks like Im gonna have to hit up all the shore points next year.
larrygator Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Wow this is so freakin awesome. Looks like Im gonna have to hit up all the shore points next year. Nah, you can skip Morey's!
boldikus Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Blasphemy! Great White is running like new and retracked/etc Nor'easter should be an interesting thing to experience. I'm dying to know what thats gonna turn out like. We could have the best SLC in the world (or it could be a complete and total waste of money). Not to mention all the amazing flats. Sorry Lar but if you're gonna bash Morey's I'm gonna defend it.
