Password121
Definitely go BGW over SFA, but if you're doing Cedar Point and Kings Island you could get a Platinum pass and do Kings Dominion instead. It's a great park and worth a visit.
kickflipbacktail
Definitely go BGW over SFA, but if you're doing Cedar Point and Kings Island you could get a Platinum pass and do Kings Dominion instead. It's a great park and worth a visit. This. You would save money most likely and get 3 amazing parks. That being said if you HAVE to choose between BGW or SFA you for sure wanna go with Busch Gardens. Much better coasters and a much nicer park, theme and upkeep wise.
BuffaloWingRider
Just when I thought I wouldn't be hitting up any new parks this year all of a sudden Dollywood and Kings Island are possible! probably just Dollywood though. I'm excited for Lightning Rod!
StarTrekGeek
Definitely go BGW over SFA, but if you're doing Cedar Point and Kings Island you could get a Platinum pass and do Kings Dominion instead. It's a great park and worth a visit. I love Kings Dominion! It's one of my favorite parks that I've been to. I remember traveling there in 2011, and immediately blown away by some of their coasters, as well as the overall quality of the park! It was so great that I revisited in 2012. I would love to go there, but the way this trip is going, as well as college costs, we may have the budget for only two parks (along with a trip to New York City to visit my brother). I know one of the parks is Cedar Point, so I'd like to try a park that I've never visited before, like the other 3 parks I mentioned (SFA, Kings Island, and BGW). And yeah, if it was between BGW and SFA, I'm pretty sure I'd go with the former. I think the main decision will be either Busch Gardens Williamsburg or Kings Island. Interesting point about the Platinum Pass. I might look it up!
Drexs003
In the chance that my job is going to give me enough time off from work this summer (And I doubt it) my plans are to visit the following parks. Cedar Point, Kings Dominion, Kings Island, Dorney Park, Six Flags Great Adventure (of course), Six Flags New England, Bush Gardens Williamsburg and Dollywood. And during the haunt season i am going to make my annual trip down to the Florida Haunts for Bush Gardens Tampa, HHN Universal Orlando, and Disney MNSSHP That being said what would the best ticket options be? should I get a season pass for anything? I already have a Six Flags season pass.
ytterbiumanalyst
^If you're going to do 4 Cedar Fair parks, get the Platinum pass. It prices out usually to 3 days or more at a CF park that isn't your home park makes it worth the upgrade from Gold.
gisco
Sadly probably just WCB and maybe Disneyland in the late Fall.
Password121
Looks like it's pretty much finalized now. Kings Dominion in March and random visits throughout the summer Kennywood, Kings Island and Cedar Point in July (six days total) Busch Gardens Tampa and SeaWorld Orlando in December (nice surprise vacation) Hopefully I'll find a time for either a Dorney/Hershey/Great Adventure trip, but it's not set in stone. DoinItForTheFame
Well, as we are starting to finalize our plans for our 2016 park visit the parks that we are for sure visiting are: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Kings Dominion Kings Island Cedar Point Six Flags Over Texas Six Flags Fiesta Texas Dollywood Six Flags Over Georgia Silver Dollar City I'm really excited about this year's line up. I've never been to Dollywood, Kings Dominion, or Busch Gardens Williamsburg, so I'm thrilled to finally have the chance to go!!
BeansproutMidget
Definitely: Kings Dominion (home park, kinda obvious) Dollywood Knoebels (yearly tradition) In-Limbo-range: Carowinds Hershey SFOG No-but-still-indecisive: BGW KI SFGAdv It's going to be a off-year, at least for me, especially after how much I did last year. We're also saving up for CF Platinum Passes, so we want to put money towards that. This'll also be my first trip to Dollywood, so I'm very excited! ytterbiumanalyst
For all you early planners like me, where are you going next year? I'm already lining up my trips for next year: Absolutely: Silver Dollar City Worlds of Fun Probably: Adventureland Arnolds Park Nickelodeon Universe Valleyfair Como Town Spirit Mountain Possibly: Cedar Point King's Island Indiana Beach Kentucky Kingdom Michigan's Adventure Doubtful at this point but trying to make it work: Dollywood Holiday World Well, now that I've been everywhere I'm going to go this year, I think I did pretty well. I didn't get to Dollywood or Holiday World, but I did go to all those other places I planned, plus these: Pacific Park Six Flags Magic Mountain Knott's Berry Farm Disneyland Disney California Adventure Universal Studios Hollywood It's been a great year! thrillseeker4552
2016 is an "off-year" for me travel-wise, but there are a few possibilities if things line up. 100% guaranteed: -Knott's Berry Farm -Six Flags Magic Mountain A possibility, not completely out of the ball park: -Six Flags Discovery Kingdom -Lagoon -Busch Gardens Tampa -Seaworld Orlando -Universal Studios Florida / Islands of Adventure If all stars in the universe aligned (basically my wish list): -Six Flags Great Adventure -Dollywood -Silver Dollar City -Kings Dominion -Carowinds -Cedar Point -Kentucky Kingdom -I should probably stop. LOL. Looking back at this post, I find it hilarious how I thought 2016 would be an "off-year" for me when, in reality, it was my biggest travel year! Just goes to show how plans can change at any given moment. Here are the parks I visited for the first time this year. Oddly enough, the only one on this list that I predicted in my earlier post is SFGAdv. 1. Hersheypark 2. Dorney Park 3. Six Flags New England 4. Six Flags Great Adventure 5. Six Flags America If things go well, I may also visit Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (and possibly CGA depending on Winterfest hours) for the first time this Winter Break. I find it funny that, living in SoCal, I've been to several parks on the East Coast, yet I still haven't been to any of the NorCal parks. I'm excited to try Joker & S:UF!
