  1. I'll just say it for all 6 of my parks I consider home. I just moved from GA where Carowinds, Dollywood, and SFOG were my home parks to PA (where I grew up) so now Dorney, SFGADV, and Hershey are my home parks again. Dollywood, Lightning Rod if it's running without fail. If not then Thunderhead. Carowinds, Fury 325. No questions. Doesn't matter if its the busiest day of the year or totally dead. I need some Giga goodness. SFOG really depends. This year I bounced around between Blue Hawk first or Goliath first. I did DDD one day just to check out the VR and have not ridden it since. If I wanna switch it up I'll hit Acrophobia first. Dorney Park, Possessed usually is first just because its my favorite coaster there. The park never has any lines so I'm comfortable bouncing around. Hershey, Skyrush or Great Bear. Every time I go both get a pretty serious line if it's summer time. From there I hit Farenheit and then bounce around for the rest of the day. SFGADV, I usually hit Nitro first and then go all the way across the park for Bizarro and El Toro and work my way back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Well so far at least meaner streak is happening 100%. If any other parks want launched RMCs they'll probably outsource to a different manufacturer. That being said the launch has been working pretty well. They've had a slew of other issues though. I got lucky and picked up 4 laps on LR before I moved away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I doubt this has anything to do with LR for 2 reasons. Rides are planned years in advance so any 2017 sales were made before Lightning Rod was even constructed. That, and anyone who is actually a major player in the industry has a much better understanding of the issues with that coaster than any of us. It won't effect their sales. Intamin had to mess up for YEARS to destroy those relationships with the major US chains. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Completely agree. It's a boring year for the USA. 2018 will be big though. Mean Streak RMC plus whatever is happening with Hurler. Hopefully some parks that have needed new coasters for years like Dorney Park finally get one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. For sure Six Flags Great Adventure Six Flags New England Dorney Park Hershey Park Cedar Point Lake Compounce Possibly Busch Gardens Williamsburg Kings Dominion Kings Island Six Flags America
  6. I'm very sure that any company running a chain of theme parks understands why that incident occurred, which was not in any way a safety failure of the ride, but more so a failure of the employees of that park. Same with the NTEG incident. If they were worried about buying rides from manufacturers that people have died on before, then they wouldn't have purchased 2 RMC coasters.
  7. 5.Great Bear 4. Talon 3. Raptor 2. Dueling Dragons Fire 1. Afterburn Honorable mentions. Alpengeist, and Batman Backwards
  8. Would those for sure be the track and not the cross ties? I was hoping the Mean Streak conversion would be to topper track to keep the ride a wood coaster. Thats for sure Iron Horse track. They havent kept a single wooden coaster as a steel coasters, same as they havent done a single groun up Iron Horse. If it aint broke don't fix it (irony I know (double pun)) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. If it's rides like Hurler and Mean Streak I hope this is EXACTLY like six flags. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'm still waiting for either a full blue or yellow rmc or a topper track that has colorful running surface. I'm so sick of the red/brown thing! Plus cedar point now has 5 red/orange/brownish roller coasters including this conversion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. RMC track at mean streak. Also KD just teased at their 2018 plans for Hurler with a video stating 'rest in peace for now, 2018.'
  12. Superman at SFOG Boomerang at Carowinds (is the smoother of the 2 I've ridden) Batman The Dark Knight at SF Great Adventure is the best Wild Mouse I've ridden.
  13. Just glad I rode Kraken as without VR and with no wait when I visited a few weeks ago. Walk on on a Saturday beats 2 hour wait on a Tuesday morning.
  14. Even though Ghostrider runs more cycles than any woodie in the country, I'm sure that Knott's will continue to maintain it. They didn't spend all that money on new trains and re-tracking just to have it deteriorate in a few years. The switch to MF trains, along with the re-profiling of certain areas and the use of Brazilian Hardwood, should keep GhostRider running smooth for many years to come. Does it really rub more cycles than any other wooden coaster in the country? That's pretty interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
